"Formulas, variables.....perfect. This just makes my day," Maya moaned, rubbing her forehead. She had never been a math whiz, and now facing algebra class, she was already bored out of her wits. And she had forgotten to study for the quiz.
Fen looked up at her. "I may be able to help you out some, Maya." He gave a small wink.
Maya was a bit surprised. It wasn't like Fen to cheat. But she smiled back anyways, relieved that someone would be able to help, even if it would only be a little bit.

Maya laughed again, then a faint scowl replaced it as she stared at Fen.
"I know what you mean," Fen whispered, winking. He put on an innocent expression as he looked up. "I didn't say a thing," he said to Maya.
Maya nudged him with her foot. "Sure you didn't," she muttered, a small smile replacing the scowl now.
