"Well, I think... I... could pass... for... a husky... German shepherd... mix..." he panted, and then slowed down. "Why?"

"Cause then they might...not....pull out some....guns," she panted.

Loki perked his ears at the word "guns" the word that he had always feared, "Ok, but we need to keep running..." he panted, getting his breath back from slowing down. "C'mon, I know a shortcut back to the woods!" he barked, and swung around into another alley, pressed against the wall, "Follow me..." he said. He jogged past a few more alleys, swinging into them, catching his breath. He finally reached the junkyard side of town, a half hour later, almost halfway to the junkyard, but on the right side at least. He ran down one last alley, and off into the woods. "C'mon, they can't find use here!"

:I'm following you!" she said, right on his tail.

Loki stopped once they were deep into the woods, "I'm a woodland wolf-dog too!" he explained, "I was born and raised here, remember?" he slid into a laying postition, still panting.

"I remember,' Sadie siad, sitting down beside him, panting lightly

Loki stopped panting, finally catching his breath. He then sat upright, "Ow..." he whined, after realizing his paw was starting to hurt. It was throbbing from running.

Sadie looked at it. It had swelled more. "Told you you shouldn't have run," she said, slightly teasing.

"And got caught by the dog catcher?" he laughed, "I thnk I would rather test out and make sure it's broken, because it is. I said it was a sprain so you would actually run." Loki stated.

Sadie growled good-naturedly at Loki. "Now that I know, lay down, with your broken leg outstretched," she instructed, a ghost of a grim smile on her face.

Loki sighed, and laid down, his leg out in front, "Fine..." he said, while resting his head on his other paw.

Sadie gingerly nosed the broken leg. "I'm gonna move the bone back in place," she explained. "Just hold still.." And with that she quickly manipulated the bone, a grating sound emitting from the leg as it was moved back in place. She winced as she heard it, but finishe dthe movement, then withdrawing.

Loki held back a whimper."Thanks..." he said through clenched teeth. He sighed as it slipped back into place, "I'll test it," he said, starting to walk around on it.

'Don't! Sit down!" Sadie said, sounding concerned and worried.

Loki sat down, "Fine..." he sighed again. "I'll sit. Geez... I'm not some pet. I can survive..."
