Ryan smiled at the kiss, the spot were her lips had been seeming to burn with pins and needles. Soon he drifted off to sleep alos, still smiling.

Morning......

King Bob got out of bed, thick blocks of sunlight streaming through the paned window. He slid out of his satin sheets, pulling on the proper attire for someone of his importance. After looking at himself in the full length mirror to see if he looked proper, her walked out of his room, going to go wake up Rayna.

Rayna woke up to the rays of sun stroking her golden hair. She opened her cerulean blue eyes and smiled. Today was the day. "Wake up, Ryan." she whispered, shaking him slightly.

Archibauld's black horse could be seen in the front yard of the castle, Archie on his back. He dismounted with a scroll in hand and entered the castle, looking for King Bob. "Your majesty!" he called through the corridors. "I have news about your daughter!" he said evilly.

Ryan woke up smiling. "Morning Rayna," he said softly, completly awake.

King Bob saw his daughteer was...gone. Gone! He heard Archibauld's voice, and hurried down to see him, frantic about his daughter, but keeping a cool and collected appearance. "What is the news?" he asked, dread sinking through him.

"She's been kidnapped!" he lied. "By a fellow that looks like..." he unrolled the scroll, revealing a picture of Ryan. "...this. I tried to rescue her, but he must have brainwashed Rayna, because then she tried to kill me! Then they stole my sword and threatened to steal my horse too, if I said anything. But I'm too concerned about the princess' well being to worry about my own belongings. I'm dreadfully sorry, your highness, but I couldn't save her..." he then pretended to cry, fakely sobbing into his hands.

"Come," chirped Rayna, "Let's saddle up and get down there."

King Bob stared at the picture blankly, shock clear on his face.

"Ok!" Ryan said enthusiastically. "As long as you keep it to a trot," he added, getting out of the cave.

"How about we keep it to a walk?" Rayna proposed, mounting Rose and unhooking the reins. "I know the way, just follow me. But make sure to keep your distance from the horse in front of you! Ol' Rose has a reputation to buck!"

"You must understand your majesty!" Archie sobbed. "I am in love with your daughter and will sacrifice anything for her!" he kept lying. "I would have given all my kingdom to keep her safe, but you also must understand, your excellency, what a menace this man is!"

"Perfect," Ryyan said, his voice tainted by a good-natured sarcasm. He mounted Crusade, trying to keep a grimace off his face as he did so.

"I understand," Kind Bob said hoarsely, pullling himself out of his reverie. He signaled to a nearby guard. "That man has kidnapped my daughter!" he said, his voice almost hysterical. "Send all troops to find her, and kill him!" he said, pointing at the picture.

Rayna trekked on her horse through the terrain. The leaves were a slight bit wet, but nothing too bad. Rayna noticed that Ryan was falling too far behind, or he was just afraid of Rose kicking Crusade in the face.

Archibauld stopped the King for a second, suddenly not crying anymore. "With all due respect, your kingliness, I would very much like to lead this trip myself, directing the troops. I feel it is my responsibility to do so."

"Of course," King Bob said, his voice soft with shock and fear for his daughter, His anger had faded.

"How far is it?" Ryan asked sometime later.

"Not far." Rayna answered. "Figures. The 'Are We There Yet?' famous line!" she joked.

"I'll lead them ut right away, then." Archie bowed, then left to mount his steed.

King Bob staggered to jis throne and sank into it, placing his head in his hands,

Ryan smiled, holding onto the reins tightly, still uncomfortable with the rocking motion of the horse.

Archie mounted his black horse, appropriately named Nightmare, and rode away, the soldiers following.

Ryan heard a pounding noise, or more acurately felt it through the ground. "Rayna?" he asked. "What is that?"

"What is wha..." her voice trailed off when she heard the sound of an earthquake. More like... hoofbeats? When dozens of horses came into view, she saw who was leading them; Archibauld. "Run!" yelled Rayna, kicking Rose into a gallop, forgetting that Ryan could easily fall off from his lack of experience.

Ryan had no choice but to kick his own horse into a gallop, holding onto his mane for dear life,keeping his eyes only open half way.
