Razza had no intention of tussling with the Pokémon aboard the Lugia's back. He'd seen and gathered enough information on the group to turn over in his mind until they met again. And Razza knew they would. After he'd flown past, he'd already decided to lift the weather some, and wasn't too thrilled when he looked up to see that a Sunny Day attack had been used to lift his cover. Of course, Razza was still more powerful that that brash Riolu that seemed to always be throwing attacks left and right. While the rain had abruptly ceased and thin streams of sunlight were now starting to penetrate through the clouds, there were just enough clouds left in the air to avoid casting a shadow on the ground. A ping on his head alerted him that he still wasn't alone, and he easily knocked away the incoming Aura Spheres, quickly utilizing the rest of his remaining cover to dart high up into the sky and disappear completely, lost in his home, the ozone. Although the damage he had taken from those low-levels wasn't too severe, he'd need time to recover and formulate a plan for getting close to the girl again without alarming her pesky PokéBody-guards.

Safe from the reach from any of their attacks and out of their sight, yet close enough for only him to keep a weary eye on the events below, Razza laid back and retreated out to stare down with interest once more at the events that would unfold for the group below.




Kyrene stared up and blinked at the weak rays of sun that were steadily growing brighter, slashing through the storm like a knife through stale bread. She felt drained, like she'd just awoken from a long slumber, and rubbed at her eyes. The short meeting with the Rayquaza seemed surreal, and she wondered if it had really happened to begin with. Temporarily forgetting that she was still on the back of a Lugia, she caught a glimpse of the ground and resumed to hanging on tightly to the legendary's neck. Although her grip wasn't as firm as when she frist started off and was exhausted beyond belief, she somehow managed to gather enough courage to look up and point a shaky hand to a small group of buildings off in the horizon. Where the forest line ended, the thick trees gave way to make view for a beautiful city surrounded in lush greenery. "That's it," she said. "That's Eterna City."

With every attempt to speed up in order to reach the town, Thomas had to maneuver himself away from bolts of lightning. The storm seemed to intensify with each passing second, and when he turned just out of reach of the stream of electricity his wondering eyes caught a glympse of a serpant-like figure silohwetted behind the thick clouds. His eyes grew wide wheh he watched the Rayquazza reveal himself to them, blowing his cover completely. Not only was this a danger for the gang but for the Legendary himslef, there could be a trainer or member of Team Dark Night just biding their time in order to catch such a rarity. Thomas pushed the thoughts aside as he concentrated on the task at hand, knowing that the one with the biggest potential of getting into trouble would be the Dark Legendary above him.

As if things couldn't get any worse, the young Lugia realized that the girl's grip around his neck began to loosen as the threat of being struck by lightning increased. She must have been losing energy. In knowing that, Thomas' determination caused him to pick up the pace, speeding over the thick forestry just twelve stories below him. He was careful, slowing every so often to allow the passengers to rest and deflect the obstacles that were being thrown at them. When the female Pikachu exploded into a frenzy of static electricity in a Thunder attack, the young Legendary shut his eyes to prevent temporary blindness from the attack, which must have made a direct hit. Instantly following the roar of distress his eyes shot open the Rayquazza slivered ahead before darting their way, as if to hit head on. Knowing full well that he wasn't capable of sending such a gigantic Pokemon hurtling towards the ground by himself, Thomas tried despirately to veer to the side in order to dodge, but the Dark Legendary beat him to it and they were suddenly at eachother's side.

It was as if time had stopped, as if the two Legendaries were in a death-grip beside one another. Thomas' wide aburn optics were stretched as wide as they had ever been as he noticed that the Rayquazza wasa mere few inches away from him. Whether it's purpose of doing such an insane act was just for intimidation or a failed attempt at counter attacking, the young Lugia got the message either way and quickly changed course. He flapped his mighty wings, sending himself and his passengers higher into the air which temporarily caught his attention. He didn't realize that the girl's grip had loosened dramatically during the encounter, but when he was knocked back into reality from a gust of wind, Thomas looked back at the girl.


"I don't think the girl can hang on any longer."


The female Pikachu informed just before the Dark Rayquazza had disappeared back into the core of the storm. "Hold on!" He screeched, trying to make his voice heard over the roaring thunder that was steadily weakening. Knowing now that the need to reach the town was now even greater than before Thomas again sped up, now flying at about eighty miles an hour. He didn't know how much more distractions he, or the girl, could handle before they actually reached the city. From now until the city was in sight, Thomas made the decision of ignoring anything that made an appearence and only concentrating on the destination. Then, only then, would he acknowledge anything that popped up before him.

"How is everything?"

As if anything couldn't have appeared at such a despirate time. The Latias had returned to his side after rescuing the male Pikachu, and with a quick side glance Thomas could see she was just as concerned about the human as everyone else. "Everything's fine." He mumbled bluntly before he began to feel movement on the back of his neck. Slowly his head turned aroudn to find the girl had slightly tightened her grip around his neck, as if she must have forgotten she was supposed to be hanging on for dear life, before she extended a shaky hand that pointed towards the horizon.

"That's it, that's Eterna City."

His eyes followed the direction in which the girl's tiny finger was pointed towards and was astonished to see the city. He had to admit it was pretty amazing, Thomas had never seen a city covered in such lush greenery. The Latias spoke again and landed just minutes after and the young Lugia was quick to follow. His feet met the ground softly, allowing him to make smooth movements in nestling himself down to allow the human to slid off. Taking the time to look around the entrance to the city in waiting for the others to arrive, Thomas recalled seeing a dark figure laying on top of one of the buildings. Going over with what he thought he saw, he felt it reminded him of a certain Pokemon he and and the gang had encountered earlier in the day. The thought of going up to investigate did cross his mind, but that would be putting him at risk of being seen and possibly caught by trainers. Feeling stuck with knowing what to do next, he turned towards the young nurse. "What now?"

Kyrene, slightly disoriented, stood on jellied legs as she slid off the Lugia's back. Had she not been so tired, wet, and hungry, she'd have looked around more to enjoy the fertile scenery. Unfortunately, she was much too tired and shaken up to even recall which way the local Pokémon Center was.

"What now?" asked the Lugia after a while.

"Now," Kyene said, lifting a heavy finger, "Now... I go to sleep." And with that, the young nurse very nearly toppled over and crumpled to the muddy ground, asleep before she even hit the ground. The last thought that entered her mind was that she wasn't going to stand for protests from anyone -- not even a legendary Pokémon. Even if they had landed in front of the Pokémon Center, she wouldn't be able to operate in her current state.

Most all the other Pokémon were at a loss, stunned into silence before a new voice rang out to them. "Well, if I ever did live to see the day!!" They all turned to see a young woman standing not too far away, dressed in ripped, brown shorts and a green shawl that draped over her shoulders to expose a bare midriff. Even in the dim sun, her eyes shone to compliment the light brown hair that hung from her head. Everyone could tell the new arrival could hardly contain her excitement as she strode up to the group. "Wooow," she said in awe, her eyes twinkling brightly. "A legendary!! Two of them. Oh, this is so cool!!" She looked down and also winked amiably at the Pikachu and Riolu. "Welcome to Eterna City," she said in a drastically high-pitched voice. Slightly embarrassed, she cleared her throat and continued. "I'm Gardenia, the grass-type gym leader of this town. And... Kyrene?"

The young nurse curled up in a tighter ball and refused to be woken up.

"Oh my," Gardenia said. With her hands at her hips, she continued staring down at the pathetic-looking girl. But despite how confused and awe-struck she was, Gardenia straightened herself and a pillow of laughter exploded out from her. It lasted for a full thirty seconds, but at the very least, her lighthearted humor helped to soothe the mellow spirits of Kyrene's travelling party. Finally, the gym leader rubbed at her eyes and straightened herself once more. "Well, I suppose we can save the explanations for later. But it's always good to see a familiar face once in a while. Come into my gym and rest up, all of you!! Oh, don't worry about trainers, I closed it down. I always close my gym down on stormy days so I can play in the rain. I know, improper, isn't it?" She giggled at the group of Pokémon and to herself. "Lucky for you, the weather scared most everyone into staying indoors, so I figure I'm the only one to have spotted you guys. If you want to keep it that way, follow me... oh, and would you please mind carrying Kyrene just a few more steps? My gym is actually this building you landed behind, right here." She gestured at a nearby circular structure decorated in vines and colorful flowers. "Come on, the bunch of you look like a light zephyr can knock you all down as well."
