Troy went after she did and used the bathroom. When he was done, Troy went back inside and laid down beside Stace and said "You look beautiful as ever Stace. I love you."

[I'm guessing its time now.]

After a 3 weeks later, the pups were due and Stace had a restless night until she finally woke up whimpering in pain at 6:30 in the morning. "Troy! They are coming!" She yelped as a contraction surged through her.

Troy looked worried and said "Okay, I will be back very quickly. You will not realize that I am gone." Then, Troy ran and jumped on Ally's bed and barked into her dad's ear to wake them both up. He pulled them and headed towards Stace with them. Troy said when he was back "I am here, darling, and I brought our owners with me."

John gasped as he woke up and noticed it was birthing time for Stace. "Ally wake up its time!"

Ally woke up at her dad's words and Troy's barking. "O-OK." She said in concern, running into the living room with her father.

Stace howled in pain as more contractions came and the pups slowly edged there out.

John got some newspaper and set it down then lifted Stace onto it so she didn't get blood on her bed.

Troy came up close to Stace's face and said "Push, darling, push with all your might. If you need to hold onto something then bite my leg." Then, Troy folded out his front right leg and put it next to Stace's mouth for her to bite it if she needs to because it hurts to do what she is doing right now.

John sighed and picked up Troy, he was going to lock him in his room so that he didn't have to see and go crazy. "Ally go in there with him."

Ally ran in John's room and locked the door.

Stace howled in pain and pushed, 1 pup came out, after about 10 minutes she pushed and and another pup came out.

2 hours later

6 puppies lay at Stace's belly, suckling there mother's milk. John and Ally let Troy get out of the room to see.

Troy hasitated and looked at John and Ally back and forth for a while. Then, after doing so for about 30 seconds, Troy creeped out of the room feeling a bit scared right now. When he saw the pups, Troy went crazy but, after a few seconds, he came back to normal and walked over to Stace but not to close because he does not want to be bitten by Stace if he comes to close to the pups. Then, he looked at the pups very lovingly and wanted to come up to them but was afraid that Stace might bite him.

Stace looked at Troy lovingly. "Come closer." She looked at the Nova Scottia Duck Tolling Retriever's. "What should we name them?" She asked, licking every one of them.

Troy looked at Stace lovingly and said "Thank you. I was afraid that you were going to bite me if I came closer." Troy came closer and licked each of their pups as well and said "I don't know. You give me names and I will tell you when I here a name that I like." Then, Troy licked Stace and nuzzled her lovingly.

Stace nodded, her droopy ears flapping around. She then pointed her snout towards the first born male. "Taber." She said, then pointing the second born male. "Conner." She pointed to the third-born male. "Fend." Then she pointed to the fourth born female. "Shelby." Stace then pointed to the last. The runt. "Becka. Five puppies."

Troy nodded after each name and said after Stace said all the names "I love all the names, Hun. You are a very good name giver." Troy walked back and forth in the room thinking about something and finally said "I will be right back, Stace." He ran to get the water bowl that had water in it and brought it out to Stace very slowly in his muzzle so he didn't drop any out. He put it down near Stace and said "I will be back soon." He went back and got the food dish and brought it out to Stace and put it down near her so she doesn't have to get up at all. He laid down near Stace and licked her and the pups. While he did so, Troy said fatherly "I love all of you." He looked at Stace very lovingly and said "This is the happiest day of my life, Stace."

Stace smiled and ate the food, it crunching in her jaws. She then lapped up crisp water from the bowl. She was too happy to speak so lied, curled up on the newspaper around the newborn pups. Her bushy tail lied on top of the pup to keep there nearly naked bodies warm as they slept, snuggled up close to Stace's belly.

Troy sighed sadly and said "I don't know what I can do to help. I am a bad father." He just laid down next to Stace and started whimpering very softly and bowed his head down. He feels and looks miserable because he thinks he can help but doesm't know how he can help.

Stace tries to block out Troy's whimpering and sighs, closing her eyes and soon falling asleep.

Troy stopped whimpering, when he heard Stace sigh, and mumbled under his breath "I am such an idiot." Troy came over to where Stace was and curled up with Stace to keep their pups warm. He laid his tail on top of her tail and their kids little bodies to keep them warm and soon fell asleep peacefully.
