Kitta nodded, curling around Luke even more, placing one leg over him. "There there, that bump will go away by the end of they tomorrow. I promise." she licked his forehead gingerly. "And no, my friend isn't a dog." she winked slyly.

Luke smiled, giggling. He was already liking Kitta. "You're really nice." he said. He cocked his head at her statement. "What is she then?"

"I'll give you a hint." Kitta winked once more. "She never leaves the water." she thanked God for her fur, so he wouldn't see her blush. "Well, so are you." she replied, laying her head down gently.

Luke cocked his head. "Is she a...fish?" he asked, he licked her cheek. He was starting to get to like her. No one would ever replace his parents but at least he had someone to care for him.

Kitta chuckled as Luke licked her cheek. She licked his nose. "Close, but she breathes air." she nuzzled the little pup gently. She felt her tail thump and wag all over the place.

Luke giggled and nuzzled her back. "A whale?" he asked. He wagged his tail as well. He missed his parents but was glad to have been found by Kitta and her water dwelling friend.

"So close!" Kitta said, giving a light laugh as she did so. She had always dreamed of having pups in her youth. Now, being too old, was glad that Ava found Luke. "Give up yet?"

Luke cocked his head, thinking hard. "Um...Dolphan?" he asked. He was so glad to have met Kitta, she was so kind and gentle. He hopped to be able to stay with her.

Kitta smiled wide, and nodded. "You got it!" she said, a wide grin spread over her features. She hoped Luke would be able to always stay with her. She could look after him.

Luke nodded. "Dolphans are awsome!" he said, wagging his little tail. "Any cool." he said. He cocked his head. "...What attacked our boat anyway?"

Kitta's smile dropped, and she looked a little uneasy. "Sweetie....you don't-you don't want to know." she said, ears pinning back, she licked his face lightly.

Luke looked her in the eye. "Yes, I want to." he said. "It took my momma from me, I want to know...I want to know what happened to my poor momma."

"A giant shark." said Kitta, looking into Luke's eyes. "I can't li to you, he crashed and destroyed the bot. My friend was only able to save you." she wiped a paw across her eyes.

Luke looked at his paws. "...Can you take me to...to see your friend?" he asked. "I want to thank her myself." he said. "I understand she could only save me...and I'm thankful...I want to let her know that."
