Besides, becoming mates seems a very important thing in stories, right?) - Juuchan17

Juuchan17 wrote: Well, let me dive into this for a bit:
Aleu: Obviously you made quite a huge choice to lead a wolf pack, especially since you had no actual skills as a wolf (and even hated your wild heritage at first!). Explain how difficult the transition was for you - hunting for food, eating raw, bloody meat (ew!), controlling the other wolves? How did you manage it for all that time?
Saba: So, you're a sled dog too, huh? Was it easy for you to get along with the other dogs on your team (sans Tydye, of course), or was it hard because you were a female?
Kodi: Congrats for you and Dusty, by the way. Was there a reason why you two chose to wait before having a family of your own or did you just figure that your job on the mail team was more important than having pups?
Tydye: Are you and Ceres still together despite your tragedy? How have you two been able to cope with everything since then?
Malena: Why do you think you're the only sibling that seems to have that "eye-twitching" thing about you? Personally, I think it's rather interesting that you're the only one.
Dingo: Why did you choose to become a sled dog all of a sudden? Did you feel destined to pull like your dad, brother and sisters, or was it just something else that drew you into it?
- Juuchan17
Aleu: It was a hard transition, yeah. I was used to just having to walk into town to get breakfast, and then I suddenly had to hunt for it. It took several weeks, but I finally perfected the art. The overall transition from one species to another is not one that should be easy, I suppose. But I view it as a preparation for the years ahead in my life. Saba: I admit, being a sled dog is hard, but I get along fine with my teammembers. They know as well as I do that, if we don't get along, we'll most likely lose more than a race. Kodi: Well, I think that it was a combination of both. We were sled dogs first, and mates second. It was only when our job started becoming a little less stressful that we decided to have a family. Tydye: We're still together; it wasn't our faults, after all. We just accepted the fact that we could never raise a family. It was hard at first, but then it became easier. All we want now is each other. Malena: We're all unique. I have an eye-twitching thing because I just decided to do it one day. Mom warned me that if I kept doing it, I'll never stop...and she was right. Dingo: I'm not sure. I guess I was just bored with my job as a telegraph dog, and decided to be a little more adventurous. It's not fair that all the females in my family were sled dogs but I wasn't so I decided to see how I liked it.

What was the hardest skill you had to learn out there? Quote: Saba: I admit, being a sled dog is hard, but I get along fine with my teammembers. I have an eye-twitching thing because I just decided to do it one day. Mom warned me that if I kept doing it, I'll never stop...and she was right. See, this is what I like about you - you're such a positive character! Did you ever think about falling in love and settling down with a mate like Saba, Kodi and Tydye had or were you afraid something would backfire on you like it had for each of them? Did their presence on sled teams seem to invisably pressure you into trying out for a sled team yourself? Oh, and thanks for responding! - Juuchan17

Basically, everything was hard! Juuchan17 wrote: Saba: Have you ever been afraid of the . . . you know, risky parts of being a sled dog? Did you ever feel you didn't have to be pulling a sled? I'm afraid you'll have to spell out what you mean by 'risky'. Yeah, sometimes I felt a little tired of my job, but I couldn't ask for a better job in all the world. Try TOO positive. You should have seen what happened when Saba swallowed a sock once. As for a mate...I figured that the right time would present itself. But it hasn't so far... Juuchan17 wrote: Dingo: Wow, I almost forgot you had mostly had sisters! Did their presence on sled teams seem to invisably pressure you into trying out for a sled team yourself? I guess so. Kodi: Not very, actually. I had the 'oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow' that usually comes with that kind of announcement, but I think my other thought was 'Dad's too young to be a grandparent'...that's a scary thought.

(Too lazy to quote my last post . . . gah)
Aleu: But at least you did survive . . . *whew!* I'm glad for you in the end of things.
Saba: Sorry for not being specific. I mean, accidents, wild animal attacks, . . . that sort of thing. Almost like what happened to Malena's team or similar situations like that. Still, I suppose if the job makes you happy, why not do it, right?
Kodi: And I guess all that time together made that one special moment when you both chose to start a family REALLY special, right?
Tydye: I understand. *pats her head* I wonder, did you two ever think about adoption instead? It's an alternative option!
Malena: O__o; Oh dear. That sounds awkwardly weird. Well, since you hadn't really had that "right time," what are you looking for in a guy exactly? Would you prefer one that's all dog, all wolf, a mix of both (like yourself), or something out of the ordinary . . . like a different species?
Dingo: And boy, did you have an adventure, as well as working along side your dad like Kodi did when he was younger! That must have made you proud, huh?

I just want to do my job because I love being a sled dog. Dingo: Proud beyond words. Think of how glad the 2nd Continental Congress was when they declared independence...and Dad was a thousand times that proud.

Aleu: Actually, yes. For several months, I wanted to be a sled dog, but I think I grew out of it.

Dingo: Definitely; I can't see myself doing anything else.
