She woke that morning to ear somone scratching the door. She yawned and poked her head out the door. "HI mom." She smiled. "Hi, are you, busy?" Carmen asked. "No, why?" Miami asked. "I need to ask you a, question." She replyd.

She walked inside. "What were you doing last night?" She asked. "Why?" Mami asked confused. Well I came by earlier last night and you weren't here."Carmen said worried. "Ohhhh...I was..... um...... taking a walk..."She lied. Carmen looked at her. "Mami..... this boy.... what's his name?" She asked. "I told you I was taking a walk!"Mami said. "Yes, but still..... who is it?" Carmen asked. Mami turned her back to her mother, sighed then turned back to her. "Mom.... I know you don't like him.....but.... Jasken." She sighed.

"Why don't I like him?" Carmen asked. "Well, you were talking to dad about him, and you said he was lazy or-". "Ooohh, no I said Jackson not Jasken." She laughed. "Realy!" Miami said, with a big smile. "I'v seen him in town, he looks nice." Carmen smiled. "Then you, uh, wouldn't mind if.. I-Im uuhh... having pups?" Miami asked. Carmens eye's whidend. "Puppies! Oh my gosh! Does youre dad know?" Carmen asked. "No.". "Well, what about Jasken? Deos he know?" She asked. "I was going to tell him." Miami said. "Well, then lets go find your dad." Carmen smiled.

"Ummmmm...Mom....I meant.....A suprise."She giggled."Oh, I understand, and Jasken?"Carmen asked. "He'll get a suprise too." Mami laughted."

About a week past and her stomack was gitting bigger, her owners new, but she haddent been able to see Jasken, so when she found him, he looked surprized. "Are you.. have you.. uhhh.." He studderd.

" Yes, I've gained wieght."She lied, but was smilng, but dared not let him see."Um....I..uh..."Jasken studdered, not wanting to sound rude.She walked in circles around him."Mami...are you...happy your...fat?"Jasken said, then relized what words just left his mouth."OH MY GOD MAMI I'M SOOO SORRY THAT WAS- I TODALY DIDDN'T MEAN THAT!"He screamed."Jasken Jasken, I'm not fat! I-" She was cut off by his strange looks at her.She laughted."Jasken, were having puppies."

His eye's whidend. "P-P-P-P... Puppies?" He studerd smiling. She nodded. "This is great! Do your parents know?" He asked. "My mom does." Miami replyd. "Are ya gonna tell him?" He asked. She nodded.

"But not now, later." Miami smiled. Jasken nodded."Wait....but for how long?"Jasken asked. "Oh..I dunno..mabey-"

"No, I mean, how long have you been..."

"OOOOHHHH I dunno realy."

Suddleny the happiness was inturupted.Jasken lookede down at his paws."What is it?"Miami asked."It's just.....ohhh....when my sister had her pups...she....passed on....."Jasken cried."Oh no! I'm so sorry Jasken!"Maimi cried."But that's not the thing....what if.... what if you... die?..."Jasken said."Oh but Angel and Jaxs had pups, and Zasha and Shade had pups, and My mom and Dad had pups, I'm SURE nothing will happen exept our lives will be twinty two times happier!"Maimi barked.

"I hope your right..."Jasken smiled.

That night when she whent home, she was a bit shaken from what he had told her,altho she didn't act like it. She walked into her owner bedroomand curled up at the end of the bed. She, at first, couldn't sleep. But when she did, she wished she hadn't.

Dream
She woke with a sharp pain, she new the puppies were coming. She got up and off the bed,and hit the groun with a whimper, waking her owner. She walked into the den and leid down, five minutes later, verey many puppies were beside her, fifteen! She was in alot of pain, and she put her head dow, the last thing she saw was Jasken, standing over her, crying. The last thing she heard was "I new it."

"Aaaahh!" She screamed, she was awake, and alive. She looked around the room panting. "It.. Was.. Just a.. dream." She panted.

She ran in circles then her stomcah started to hurt.She sat down.

Okay...okay....this is only goinng to make it worse. She thought to herself.She panted and stepped to her water bowl.The next 2 weeks she was stressed.Her stomach was constantly hurting, or atleast she thought it was, and she hardly ever came outside.The only time Jasken saw her was when she went outside to walk with her owner.

ONe afternoon, her stomach hurt very bad, she whind so much her owner called the vet to come and help. He examind her then spok to her owner. "Miss, she won't be due for about a another week, but she's very close, so she might have them sooner. But if she hasn't had them by... uuh, a week from now, call me." He said and gave her a smal card. "Thanks sir." She repllyd as he walked out the door. Miami cried, she would have to deal with the pain for up to a week. How can I put up with it? she thought.

SHe figured she'd have to do somthing to keep her mind off of it.She lept out of the door to find somthing to do.She was walking along when she came across Jasken.She ran to Him."JASKEN! I-" but she slipped.Before she hit the ground, thank God Jasken caught her."Wouldn't want a nasty fall like that!"Jasken said.But to exited to keep on about the fall, she went on."Jasken!Only about a week now! Realy!"She cheered.

"T-Thats it?! A week?" He said, he'd know'n dog's that had pups, like his sister, but he wasn't around her enough to keep track of time. "Yeah! And they may come sooner! Any day!" Miami smiled as she jumped slightly on her hind legs. HIs eye's grew even whider. "Sooner?? You mean, they could come tomarowe? Or the next day!" He gasped. "Yeah, but calm down, you'll give yourself a heart attack!" She laughed.

"BUT THIS IS SERIOUS!" Jasken yelled. "Calm down, I'll be okay!" she smiled. Suddenly she made a sharp face."Ough!" She grimmanced. "OH GOSH ARE THEY GOIMMING? ARE YOU READY?"He yelled. She could see the fear in his eyes."No...I'm kidding."She sighed.
