It could be because the books were meant for children.

I have yet to see it and with it being so late, I might as well wait tell it's out on DVD. I wonder if they'll do more movies on the series of Narnia or just the one?

Nah, Disney's none too good at making sequals. :!:

If you think about it, they already have the scripts, so it shouldn't be that, bad.

Cool.

If Disney where to do "The Last Battle" it wouldn't surprise me if they water it down. They probably wouldn't make a movie where all the characters are dead in the last scene.

Still, I find the Last Battle the best book of them all. But they are really making a Prince Caspian one? CooL!

Not to post on an ancient topic or anything but I just bought the collectors Edition DVD and saw the movie for the first time, it was awesome. I had the book read to me in like second grade and I saw a crappy 80's attempt for the movie, I can't even begin to say how much better this one is! Great addition to my DVD collection!

Oh, that 80's one was so annoying. Aslan was the only thing that wasn't either a person in a costume or animation that looked like a cartoon. But I guess the big, heavy animitronic thing wouldn't work with the fast paced wolves or the chatty beavers. I just hope that when teachers show a Chronicles of Narnia movie in their class, it will be this one. I can't stand the thought of my little brother having his mind poisoned by that horror of bad acting and even worse special effects.

ROFL!!!! :D You're right, I'd hate to put anyone through that! I guess I found this one to be so much better and I instantly knew I was going to get it. Not just because of the story but the great job that they did with it. And yes I was just thinking last night about the animation they used for the creatures, very tacky but hey it was the 80........heh
