There's some debate as to whether Steele is a Malamute or a husky. I admit that the arguments for husky seem more persuasive, though my fanfics maintain that he's a malamute for the purposes of the story. As for "bored and bad," it's true that one's parenting has incredible influence on how one turns out. However, they could potentially turn out alright. It would be difficult, especially for Jenna (trust me, my parents had remarkable similarities to Jenna and Steele on one or two levels), but it could happen.

Well there is an implied past relationship between Steele and Jenna and I think Jenna broke that one off because he was a bit... mnyah, aggressive in certain ways with her. He mainly only likes her for her looks, not her personality, and he wouldn't think about pups if you know what I mean.

If they had been any kind of an item in the past, Steele would have been more possessive and less... well, I guess "grabby" is as close as anything to the word I'm searching for. It doesn't take a psychology degree to see that he was reaching for something he wanted to exist, not something that had ceased to exist.

That doesn't mean it's not an interesting idea. It'd be one hell of a fanfic. in the good way. (depending on how good the writer is at writing, of course..)

Who's trying to spoil anyone's fun? I'm just saying that it's silly to say that the movie implied a past relationship. I imagine a fanfic about one could be interesting in the right hands, but let's not going saying things are there when they aren't.
