One time a guy ripped one of my Balto drawings and yelled "Whatcha gunna do Balto-Boy?" so i kicked his *** right there in math class. now nobody makes fun of me. Even the other guys on my hockey team can respect that i like the movie.

I actually entered a Balto drawing in my Community College art show, and no one said a word about it. I mean this thing was in the main hallway where EVERYONE saw it. Honestly, I think it's a growing-up thing. Everyone is trying to "put aside childish things" as the Bible verse says. Then, after the growing up is done they want their childhood back, and sympathize with others a little better (they're also just more mature).

My sister teases me about Balto Source all the time! She also teases me about drawing wolfdogs, wolves,etc.(Even though she thinks Balto 1 was"cute".) But 1 of my BF's, Jordan, knows I draw these,& knows Im apart of Balto Source, & doesn't mind. He actually likes to watch me draw! My other friend (not BF,) Arbesa likes to watch me draw as well, & always says I should become an artist When Im an adult. My OTHER BF, Mason, gets annoyed alot when he See's me drawing, & often tells me to stop drawing in an agitated tone. He too knows about Balto Source & thinks some of the contests are silly & dumb. When people besides friends tease me (which happens sometimes,) they say really mean things, & sometimes end up ripping my drawing, though this happens rarely.

Well, never for Balto (sorry if it's off topic), but for Lion King, my friends laughed at all my drawings and teased me and my mum does too, when I show her a drawing she goes "What is it? Lion king" in a really annoyed voice. And my friend got angry with me once and wanted to hurt my feelings so she put on this really squeaky voice and said "Ooh, I'm so gay i'm obsessed with lion king and all I do is talk about TLK" etc, it did hurt actually.

So I get teased for things like this but just with TLK, it's pretty mean.

Actually, no. I never got made fun of it. I get made fun of for being a fan of 90s music.

Then why post here?

People think my art style is similar to the movie. I have had three girls ask "why do you always draw just 'wolves'?! You should draw OTHER things!!' and they were really rude and pushy xD I DO draw other things, but oh well. It's just part of being a fan I guess. People will always get teased for SOMETHING...

Stop spamming. How many times do you have to be told?

@ Mighty & JC: The topic asks if he's ever been teased for Balto. He said no and elaborated on what he's teased on instead. It's not off topic or spam.

I still don't see the point in replying if you haven't been teased, but whatever.

To you, Mighty, there might not be a point.

Then again, maybe there is. This: While some have been teased, others have not. If they're not teased for Balto, then they're teased for other things. Either way, does it really matter? Teasing is a two-way street, after all.

If someone has not been teased, then they have... a right to say that they haven't. Maybe, perhaps, to offer, in a sense, some hope to those who have been teased. Maybe, a relief to know that teasing is not a 100% thing. That some people don't have to put up with it.

When it comes to being a fan of something, some people have it easy, while others do not.

I agree with Mighty on this Roi. The OP does state "do you ever get teased", but I think it's pretty easy to imply that the topic does not intend for people to come in stating "no, I don't...but I do get teased for something else entirely unrelated to Balto".

Having scanned over the topic, there are others who said they weren't teased, but they are a minority of posters, and most of those who said they haven't been also said that it's because they don't tell anyone about their love of the movie. This topic goes back five years in time. Had I seen older posts that said "I don't get teased", I might have reacted the same way then...if I cared more about this topic (actually, since it seems this has to do with experiences within a group or specifically a school environment, it's not applicable to me anyway really, which is why I haven't responded to the question myself...as no adult has ever teased me about this, and I doubt they would unless they were a total bonehead).

In any case, it is Mighty's topic. Page three makes that pretty clear, even though it appears her original membership account was deleted. As with other members who create their own topics, shouldn't it be up to her to decide how the topic should roll? Er...allowing for compliance with the rules of the site of course.

^ If it really is Mighty's topic, I don't see why not. But how is anyone to know who's topic it is when the first post says "(deleted user)"?

However I still think it's a bit ridiculous to make such a fuss out of Toshiko's post. And I agree with Brown when she pointed out
that saying they haven't been teased may offer some form of hope for those that do get teased. Shouldn't that be a good thing?

I don't remember making this topic O.o I don't even remember any of that either.O__o But looking back in the topic there is a quote of the first page that is mine, as stated above.

But since this is my topic, I would rather not have someone say that they haven't been teased, I personally find it rather pointless to say that. I'm also wondering if this topic should be locked or not. Not because of anything that has gone on, and not because I think it's pointless, but the topic itself is old. I know it has been an active topic, but considering that this topic is five years of age, I would rather just see it locked.
