Lol, iknorite. I remember wanting to draw fan art for it then, but I couldn't draw dragons to save my life. Might be able to half-arse something now but I don't remember much of the book anymore so ^^;
Hehe, yes it isss. I wasn't sure if it was in every copy or not. Seems like a special edition item. 8P

Warm Bodies was a pretty fast read, it lasted only three days, like the book I'm about to finish: Doglands-Tim Willocks

I have read both myself, and I found the former to be amazing but the latter to be only so-so, though I've heard a lot of people are really in love it. (Reminded me of a werewolf version of Twilight: Mary-sue girl, flat character love interest, and the guy who she is just friends with who is actually a fleshed out character...) Feel free to disagree with me, but I'm just curious as to your thoughts. And so I am not just spamming, I have dropped all my other books to focus on rereading Delirium and Pandemonium since Requiem comes out in a little over 20 days!!! I haven't been this excited for a book since Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. That should just illustrate how amazing this series is. Honestly, everyone, stop what you are doing and go read these books! Haha.

(Reminded me of a werewolf version of Twilight: Mary-sue girl, flat character love interest, and the guy who she is just friends with who is actually a fleshed out character...) Feel free to disagree with me, but I'm just curious as to your thoughts. WARNING, SPOILERS.The story in Warm Bodies was nice but actually this one reminded me a lot of Twilight, I mean the girl falling in love with the "deadly creature", but it wasn't that bad, even though I haven't liked the writing style, I've found it, I don't know, the plot escalated too quickly, it was a lot rushed, I still don't get how did Julie fell in love with R after the few time they did spend together, I understand his love but not really hers. Not bad but too rushed. Infact the book was short, I would have added some more details, I don't know, something more. Between the two, I'm liking more Nightshade. I've just started the second book but the story is nothing like Twilight in my opinion. Calla wants to be free but she can't due to the packs' laws. She falls in love with whom she shouldn't have and she runs away with him to save him. I think you also said it was like Twilight due to the Ren/Calla/Shay triangle like the Jacob/Bella/Edward triangle? They're different for me, Jacob was Bella's friend, she kissed him in Eclipse because she thought he would die and that looked like what Jacob wanted so, she kissed him as "last wish" but in the end, she stayed with Edward because he was the one she loved. Here Calla is forced to be with Ren, it's clear he loves her (more than how Jacob loved Bella), she likes him and tries to be with him because, in the end, she knows that she has to learn to love him, since they're the next Alphas. But then, Shay happens. From what I'm reading, she loves Shay more that she ever did with Ren, Shay is freedom and real love, Ren is just rules and forced marriage. Calla may be a mary sue girl, I agree with you here, how she acted, how she is, reminded me of other characters, I mean, I've already seen ones like her, she's nothing special, she's all "OMG should I do this? Because I'm the Alpha. Don't talk to me like that, I don't need protection, I'm the Alpha", that was...a little annoying to be honest. Plus the fact that she's been lied to, the fact that she thought were true ended up to be lies, the ones she had followed and that were sticked as the good ones turned out to be the bad ones, we've all already heard that in other books. But, trust me, I've liked Nightshade more than Warm Bodies. Maybe because Warm Bodies was quick, with not so many details. Nightshade has a bigger story, more developed, more characters, plot twists and the idea of werewolves that Andrea Cremer used is the one that I share too, the characters can turn into wolves quickly and whenever they wish and, once they get back human, they're not naked, they keep their clothes on. So, yeah, Warm Bodies was good but Nightshade was a bit better, at least for me. I'm not that crazy fan like many Twiliht lovers are, that you can't even say "I didn't like this character" that they jump on your throat xD I've liked Twilight too, but that's it, I liked the story but, honestly, I've liked Jasper and Alice way more than Edward and Bella xD this other book I've just finished, Doglands, beats all three for me xD ...wow...that was a lot! xD sorry Black Rose, looks like I went crazy lol 8°D I understand if you don't read all haha!

Oh dear lord it's a really good thing I didn't read that, Saske. Cause I planned to read Warm Bodies as soon as I could buy the book. |D

Haha, yay, more people reading Warm Bodies! V Spoilers V

Saske - I definitely agree with you that Warm Bodies was a bit rushed. Trust me, I loved the entire first half of the book and then I was like... wait... what? Whoa! What is going on!?
Anyways, there were obvious flaws in Warm Bodies, though I highly enjoyed his writing style. It is different and took some time to get used to, but when you are writing from the point of view from someone who is undead, it's got to be a challenge, haha. Also, while I'm stating what I didn't like, I also was a bit disappointed at the lack of explanation. While I disagree with it being like Twilight, since I mostly associate that with Mary Sue characters and Julie is definitely not a Mary Sue, I wish the author had gone into more detail about WHY the zombie were turning back into human and what exactly the skeletons were and, well, there was just a lot of missing pieces.
BUT, overall, I thought it was amazing. I don't think anything will ever change my opinion on that. I know zombie books are sometimes a little hard to swallow, and maybe I enjoyed it more because this wasn't my first zombie apocalypse book. (That would be The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan which I highly recommend)
As for Nightshade, I can't say too much without spoiling the next two books. Let's just say I hated Shay's character change and fell in love with Ren's. Shay, who was a good character in the first one and I loved him, slowly turns into a Gary Stu and Calla's angst just annoys the crap out of me.
I suppose that the werewolf lore was also something that put me off since you brought it up. I'm a science-y person, so my mind doesn't like 'magical' werewolves that can completely change shape in two seconds with no pain and transform back with clothes on. To me, it's illogical and not believable. Most of my werewolf lore comes from the Kitty Norville series by Carrie Vaugn, who got all scientific and explained things so beautifully. Basically, I prefer wolves that change by the moon, fully change into wolves (keeping in mind the Law of Conservation of Mass, so slightly larger wolves, though not giant Twilight dogs), and are affected by silver. That's all a difference of opinion, though, so I respect yours.
And, again, I can't really get into the Ren/Calla/Shay love triangle and really point out the Jacob/Bella/Edward similarities without giving away from HUGE spoilers for the second and third books. And it's killing me because I love discussions like this! Gah, okay, I'll patiently wait for you to read the other two.

Moki, you've seen the movie and the book is 100 times better than it xD so, READ IT!!!

I've read somewhere that the author of Warm Bodies is thinking about writing a sequel, maybe that's why many things weren't explained in the first book, maybe it was all planned. I found rather weird too the fact that we know who the Boney are only by the description of R, it is just his opinion, it might not be true. And yes, why did the Zombie began to change all of a sudden after R? Did he...contamined them or what? I wish it was explained...maybe on the next book? I'm really curious. As you said, writing a book by only the point of view of a character is a good thing but it might not explain anything, since that main character cannot know everything. Maggie Stiefvater did write her book by the point of view of her character but all four so, you could hear what had happened from other points of view and the informations weren't limited, like it happened with Warm Bodies. I agree that Julie wasn't a MarySue character, I've never thought her like that, I mean, I liked her, how she was portrayed, she's a good character, different from the others, like R is. I liked that R knew he was a zombie but that he tried to look as much normal as he could, he didn't like being dead and I liked all his effort about trying to not lose all his humanity. He really is a new character and I've loved that.
I'm halfway through finishing Wolfsbane. Calla's really pissing me, like you said, too much angst ugh "No Shay we can't because I'm still somehow bonded with Ren." heck if you truly loved Ren then why didn't you stay there with him and find another way to save Shay instead of running away?! You're making up too many unexsting problems girl, chill down! I'm not fond of Ren honestly but this is an opinion given only by the first book. He looks too much possessive, a jerk. I mean, he can go around with all the girls he wants and Calla can't even say hi to another boy? I'm still wondering why is she is still having so much trouble with her feelings everytime she thinks about him, okay, he risked his life covering her and Shay's runaway but, as I said before, if she loved him so much, why didn't she stay in Vail??
Your idea of werewolves is good too, I mean I like this idea as I like Meyer's idea of werewolves, even if they're too big. An idea that is like yours can be found in Kelley Armstrong's books, I've sadly have only read Bitten and Stolen, since they're the only ones published here in Italy. Her werevoles morph into normal wolves (like in Nightshade, no big wolves like Twilight) but the process can take even 15-30 minutes, a hour even (at least in the first book where the main character had problems since it had been so much time after her last transformation) and it's rather painful, with all the bones that stretch and modify to become a wolf's skeleton. They're also affected by silver. It's not bad, at least from what I've read. And the main protagonist is everything but a MarySue, she truly kicks butts! She's no damsel in distress.
I wish we could talk more about those two love triangles but I don't know how much I'll have to wait before reading the third book ;; here Wolfsbane was published in Autumn so, dunno when the third one will be out D8 dang Italy! D<

Yes, he is writing another Warm Bodies book, though it's actually a prequel. Can't remember who the main character is, but it isn't R. Maggie Stiefvater is just a genius, haha. Aw, I only started fall in love with Ren around the third book, so get back to me then. And I actually have Bitten on my to-be-read self, so I'll get to that soon!

Sorry but the few that we saw Ren here made me hate him even more >U come on, you decide to stick with the bad guys because Calla ran away? Her other friends didn't do that, like Sabine or Bryn or Nev, I still can't believe what Ansel did, okay, he was desperate and they promised to make him a wolf again, I don't blame him, it was something I would have probably done too at his place. But Ren, ugh, he really wanted to rape Calla only because he was ordered to do so?? No, no, no. And Calla? First she went to kiss Shay and once Ren appeared, she was all over him. MAKE UP YOUR MIND GIRL! Okay, at the end of the book I suppose she did since she and Shay *coff**coff* you know what I mean. But that's what I don't like. First she says that she's in love with Shay and then, once someone speaks of Ren, she says she loves him. Okay that she had mixed feelings but... Now I really don't know when the third book will arrive here :C meanwhile, I'm re-reading Bitten-Kelley Armstrong
