Brandy's smirk widened and she bit her lip with the same mischievous glint in her eyes, she linked her arm with his and smiled a bit more.
"If you play you cards right." she promised, winking.

Nick smirked "I'm holding you to that, don't disappoint." He replied flirtasiously.

Brandy snicker and looked up, they'd stumbled upon a sushi joint. Not entirely thai, but close enough. She entered with the charm of a tourist and smiled as she was greeted.
"Table for two, please." she asked. Once set up, she took a seat across from Nick.
"Do you know when you go to Afghanistan?" she asked.

Nick looked curiously around then back to Brandy "The way they're talking, I won't be going for awhile.. I may never go. I only joined cause it seemed like the only line of work I'd be good at."

Brandy's eyes lit up and she grinned a bit, she'd lost her brother to the war, so it was nice to know that Nick probably wouldn't be going. Brandy nOdded a little, her eyes shifting around the room.
"My brother went to Afghanistan, it didn't turn out too well.." she muttered, trying to not let the reminded ruin her mOod.

Nick noticed how she seemed saddened so he reached over to gently place his hand on hers "Hey... It's alright, I know how ya feel. I lost my Dad in Veitnam.." he said gently. "Think of it like I do: they where just protecting their home."

Brandy nodded, smiling a bit. She always smiled, it was just a part of her. She was a blissful, happy person by nature. Nothing put her down for too long. Brandy looked up at Nick, feeling the warmth in his hands.
"Yeah, I respect the people In uniform a whole lot because of that." Brandy said, her eyes brightening up.

Nick smiled "Good. And glad to see you perking back up."

"yeah, sorry bout' that." she said, smiling a bit. She ordered, then turned her attention back to Nick.

"You ever had sushi before?" Nick asked curiously, he had never eaten raw fish before, thinking it was a bit to dainty for him.

"Yeah all the time," Brandy said, handing him a pair of chop sticks and twirling hers like a pro. Some food was brought and brandy plucked at it easily. She looked up at Nick, wondering if he even knew how to use chop sticks.

Nick preffered a fork and knife over chopsticks anyday, but he knew how to use them.. awkwardly. He grinned when he couldn't pick up his peice the first couple of tries.

"have you ever eaten sushi?" Brandy asked, a smile stretching on her face.

"...no.." he admitted, with a grin "I'm more for steak and mashed potatos.." he grinned.

Brandy examined the way he struggle with his chopsticks, then giggled quietly, placing a hand over her mouth to over her smile.
"ok then, Mr. Macho." she teases, popping a piece of fish in her mouth and snickering a bit more.
