"Because im your friend and i dont want to see you throwing your life away!" Alfred snapped. He was so out of character..but he didn't mind he was being truthful- and he did not want to see Kat selling her body around again.

"You've said that before! I don't know you anymore Alfred! We never talk! I try texting you, but that ***** of a boyfriend you
re dating always talks you out of texting me back!" Kat exploded, feel tears slip down her eyes.

"Hey! Arthur's not bad! And i never texted you back because well..i figured you had new friends, or i was kind of hoping you had so i wouldn't have to worry about hurting him or you again!" Alfred said with an annoyed gasp. He tensed with anger and narrowed his crystal blue eyes.
"You keep making it sound like this is my fault."

"Well I have to blame someone, don't I?" She yelled, pacing slightly and turning away from Alfred.

"NO! You can accept the fact that EVERYTHING you've shi*ted on in your life if YOUR fault! YOU screwed up your relationship with Patch, and YOU chose to go on a hooker streak! AND YOU STARTED DRINKING AGAIN!" Alfred yelled angrily, grabbing Kat's shoulders and shaking her roughly.
"Wake up Kat you're not a kid anymore!"

It was all too familiar, his cutting voice, the disappointed gleam in his eyes. 'You're not a kid anymore.' Kat knew he'd said that to her before. Why couldn't she understand? No. Why couldn't Alfred understand. It was HER LIFE, and if she wanted to drink and get high, that should be her choice. Not anyone else's. By now she was freely crying, hot tears streaming down her face.
"Alfred...I-" She choked on a sob and buried her face in her hands.

Alfred let Kat go and looked away, keeping his own tears and wanting to hug Kat and apologize deep down.
"I don't even know you anymore.." He said quietly.

Alfred was the only real thing in Kat's life. He always had been. Her best friend, now disowned her.Her jaw clenched, but she couldn't think. She looked at the ground as well. More tears coming out. She couldn't be in that place any longer. Kat looked at the back door, they orange afternoon light streaming in. She started walking for the door, wanting Alfred to fallow her. "I know you don't Alfred, you haven't since Arthur ever walked into our life." She said quietly, her voice raspy as she reached for the door.

Alfred grabbed Kat's arm and frowned.
"You can't keep blaming this on Artie." He said defensively. Kat had been his best friend, but they had grown apart. All the love-life stuff that they'd been through ruined it for him- Alfred did still love Kat but it had faded to a more family love.

"I can blame it on whoever I want!" She hissed, wanting too just curl up and die.

"Such a kid. At least i've been with Arthur so he could help me mature, unlike you." Alfred scoffed, adjusting his glasses.

"Oh yes, I'm sure he's just so perfect. And i'm sure that he's just f*cking flawless. And I'm sure that he loves you more than I could ever dream of!" She sneered, sinking to the floor and sitting against the wall, "And i'm sure he's just such a ray of f*cking sunshine to be around..." Kat's voice broke and she buried her face in her knees.

"Well no but he's always been there! He loves me and doesn't drink every night and get high off his a*s all the time!" Alfred huffed, putting his hands on his hips.

Kat wiped her eyes with the sleeve of her flannel and looked at her mascara stained shirt sleeve. She laughed with hysteria once and then looked up at him like a puppy that had been kicked one too many times.
"I-...Okay Alfred...okay..." She said, her voice cracking again.

Alfred just looked away, grabbing his phone which had buzzed.
