OOC: XD Sorry, seems Saba has just been sitting here hm? I've been a bit depressed and so, haven't had much in me to post. So please forgive the length too.

Saba's face was a bit unreadable, but, there was nothing to worry about. She had become a bit...bored with watching her Father and apparent Aunt talking to one another. Getting up from her sitting position and shaking her fur, just to get it to move with her. Soft paws would tread at the snow on the ground, and bright blue eyes would spark up more and more as she walked about, seeing the activity. Coming across a few dogs she knew, and then, there was her own sister, kinda swarmed by yearlings, and some older. She shrugged however as Mira managed to escape, as always. Their family was very popular, she supposed.

Alright I suppose I can play as Balto as well.

Balto was feeling a mix of emotions. He was both surprised to have suddenly found his half sister. Though his memories with her were extremely vague since this was so long ago, but he never forgot her face. He was also happy to see her and slightly confused as well. What were Slyth and Saba doing alone with a wolf? He didn't speak to his son or daughter at first, he was too distracted by Eleriss to do so. But as Eleriss made a comment about them, then suddenly asked where'd they gone, Balto looked over his shoulder and, sure enough, they were gone. Though they had been there moments before, they had managed to sneak away without either of them noticing. Balto simply shrugged his shoulders. "I dunno Eleriss. Slyth has been acting very strangely lately. Saba has always been a quiet one. Don't worry about them though. They spend most of their time on their own."

After this, Eleriss said to him that she was going to stroll through town. Feeling this might not be a good idea he tried to warn her but before he could say anything she invited him to join her. He let out a deep breath and shook his head. "Can't Eleriss. I've gotta go meet Jenna. But be careful though. The people here don't really like wolves much. Much less seeing one strolling through their town."

After saying their goodbye's Balto set off again. He was going to be late meeting Jenna, but not by long. Besides, running into your half sister who you havn't seen in forever sounded like a very reasonable excuse for being tardy.

OOC: The roles of Balto and Jenna are going to become a little more larger here soon.

Eleriss shrugged off the warning. She could easily hide from the humans; their senses were weak, after all. They can't even smell her.
Though she would want to join Balto and meet his love, she had bigger fish to fry. The children couldn't stay alone, no matter what. She didn't ponder why she wanted to stay close to them; perhaps it was just curiosity, but she would try it nonetheless. So she took a deep sniff.
And smelled Slyth.
Without hesitation, she followed the trail. After all, she was a fae; a protective one at that. But this time, she'd stay in the shadows, waiting and watching.

OOC: I'll start playing Jenna then, that way we'll be prepared. Also, waiting on (upside down exclammation mark)Balto! to post, XD. I can't make the symbol. Also, really sucky post.

Jenna sat on the front porch, gazing down the street for something that just wasn't coming. The thing of course, was Balto, but no matter how she stared, his frame just wouldn't appear. Sighing, she moved her gaze across the street to the house where a certain other husky had lived. The windows were boarded up and the door had several planks of wood nailed across. It had been empty ever since that night that the other dogs had run Steele out of town, forcing his musher to follow after him. Curious how despite his malice he had driven her and Balto together.

Well, until (upside down exclamation mark)Balto! does post, this is the only scene we can RP.

Knowing full well just how late he was, Balto tried to pick up his pace as an effort to get there as soon as he could. He'd already been running late when he set off to meet her. Running into Eleriss had put him even farther behind schedule. He did everything that he could think of to get him to his home where he was meeting Jenna as quickly as he could. Cutting through the alleys and utilzing every short cut he'd learned while living as a stray in this town. Regardless though, it still took him several minutes before his destination came within sight. He could make out the red blur sitting on the porch that he knew was Jenna. He sprinted the rest of the way there and upon reaching Jenna he immediatly began telling her his reason for being so late. Trying to catch his breath as he did so.
"Jenna. . . i'm so sorry. . . I didn't mean . . . to be so late. . . I ran into. . . someone." He really didn't mean to be this late, but it couldn't be helped now.

Eeh, had a very small point to make in this post.

(OoC: (upside down exclamation mark)Balto! ? My name begins with a '!' peoples. xDD Also sorry for being so late with this)

As the brute caught up, he hid himself behind the little things at the end of the corner. He watched the other dogs mocked Blitz and almost ended up jumping out to teach him a lesson on respect, even if the other dog might of been a bit bigger. Max then focused on the brute that ran upto Blitz. He seemed to be one of a friendly nature towards her so he just guessed it might of been a friend they, or just himself had never met. Max felt bad for the fae, because of the look on her face. She changed her mood just as the friend had appeared to her as if she was hiding something, which Max though was the other dog being the jerk that he was.

Max was never a lip reader, but as the friend walked off, he guess she might of just been alright after all. He'd just talk to her about the comments given to her later just be let her know what he said was lies; just be a friend to cheer her up in some way. Since he now thought nothing was really bothering her he began to walk off back to figure out more about this sister of his father. As soon as he walked a few steps from his spot he had something behind him, but before he could look to see he was pinned to the ground by Blitz. A bit shocked by this at first he was speechless, but soon enough he made a fake grin and commented to her.

"Er.. Hey, Blitz. Fancy meeting you here, eh?", the brute didnt look her in the face since he was pinned the oppisite direction. He then then pinned his auds to his skull scared she might rip him apart for following. He only noticed now how stupid he was for not noticing his own scent was out there just as much as Blitz's scent was. Waiting for her words in reply, he yelled at himself within his mind, "Dangit, Max! You just screwed up again.."

(Woops...I could've sworn the first one was upside down, XD. Ah well. Forgive me? And sorry guys, no muse today.)

Blitz's face had curled into a snarl, just in case it was one of the dogs that had harrassed her earlier, but when her eyes fell on Max's body and he replied nervously, she immediately removed herself and looked down. "Oh God, I'm sorry, Max. I just thought you were somebody else. Did I hurt you?" She looked back up with concern and did a quick once over on him, trying to be sure that she'd caused no serious injures. No bones stuck out at funny angles, no blood oozed from his skin; he seemed okay, except for a bruise here and there. Canting her head to the side, she sat down and gazed at him then with curiosity. "How come you were following me anyway?"

Jenna stood and moved lithely off the porch to great her winded partner. "Balto, it's okay. I just got worried is all." She moved forward to nuzzle him, taking in that woodsy scent he always seemed to carry with him, and grinned. "Who did you happen to run into? It wasn't Steele's musher was it?" Her voice emanated a slight alarm as she said this, for the man would never have understood how the town had come to love Balto. After all, he was still a hybrid and no years or fame could change that fact. And he was the hybrid who had showed up the former swiftest racer in the town.

(Yesyes, you're forgiven. xP I was just saying is all)

Max got himself up after she had noticed it was him and got off. Shaking his self a bit before replying, "No, I'm fine. Nothin' to bad", he had then grinned a fake smile to try to show he wasn't pain. It wasn't fake because of the fact he was hurt, which he wasn't, but because he had been following without her knowing and felt bad about how she might take that. "Well.. You just left the group back there in I guess, to me, a weird way. You just dashed off without saying anything and I just check to see if everything was alright.", he said before sitting himself down.

Max then lowered his head in shame, "I'm sorry for butting in to your personal life. I didn't mean to worry you if I did." He then thought about those dogs Blitz had walked by that seem to tease her. The hound wanted to say something about it, but he figured it was best not to. He didn't know how she really was at the time and didn't want to set something bad off.

{Short one there, sorry.}

Although Slyth took several of the back alleys to get home quicker, he took his time about it. He walked slowly, trying to get his mind around everything that had just happened. He'd found that he was still happy around Saba. He'd been spending an awful lot of time with Blitz lately so he wasn't exactly sure how he felt about her anymore. But his and her's recent event-filled stroll had renewed a few emotions within him. He still had alot to talk to the two about this. There was no way he could find an answer to this situation with how confused he was. One of the worst parts about it was he couldn't really open up to anyone for help. Blitz was usually pretty insightful, so at this point she was the only one he could talk to about it. However, lately, everytime he saw her she made up some excuse and took off. What was going on with her anyway?

Slyth had to get out of his head and focus for a minute where he was going. For a brief second he had to look around to see where exactly he was at. He knew the town pretty well, but sometimes it looked different from different angles so he didn't always recognize every part of town immediatly.

"Hello there" Came the sound of a female voice from behind Slyth.

Turning around to see who this new fae was, Slyth found himself face to face with another gray and black hue husky. She was giving him a cheery smile that Slyth couldn't help but return.

"Um, hay" he said in reply. Not sure what to make of this dog. He hadn't seen her around before. So maybe she was new around here.

To Balto's great relief, Jenna didn't express any anger at his lateness. He knew lately he he'd always been late for anything she asked him to do for her. He was trying to do better this time. Unfortunatley he took a bit longer than he thought he would when he had traveled out to the forest outside of Nome. His daughter, Aleu, lived with a pack of wolf's and they traveled near Nome once a year. They never came close because wolf's weren't very welcome around humans but she looked enough like a dog to come safely into the town to see her family again. They were late this year, so he had gone out there to see if they were nearby. He found nothing, not even a scent, so, already late, he sprinted back to Nome.

He'd misjudged how much time he had, and spent too much time looking, so it was his fault he was late. He was just glad that Jenna was so forgiving. After nuzzling her back, he sat down before hearing her ask her question.

"Oh, no. Not him." he chuckled slightly "It was a relative of mine. She's kinda my distant sister. It's been awhile since i last saw her so i didn't recognize her at first."

Eleriss had chosen to stroll around the town and have a look. She knew that she'd be chased like a hound if the townsfolk noticed her, so she did her best to stay hidden as she explored Nome. After all, who was better fit to judge Balto's home, than his sister, even if she was his half?

Everything seemed so tranquil right now; the townsfolk just went about their business without care for what happened around them, there were no loud noises, apart from the ones coming from the Lumber Mill.
The Lumber Mill... she always had a love for the strange machines the man-animals used, and headed there. Her curiosity grew by the second.

OOC: Hmm, maybe Blitz should try and get in touch with her wolfy roots...

"Oh, that," she said, her tone falling as she was reminded of her swift exit from the stressful situation. Her gaze remained on his face as he appologized and she shook her head quickly smiling faintly. "No, no. Don't appologize, it doesn't bother me at all. You were just showing concern, and I can't say I blame you with the recent oddness of everything lately." The words reminded her of her mission and she cast her eyes to the side, trying to hide the overwhelming wave of guilt and negativity that suddenly washed over her.

"I just..."

Her mind drifted back to that night when Slyth had announced his feelings for her; the same night that Saba had almost plunged her claws into her throat because she thought he didn't love her. She'd been so happy when he returned the emotions that had been bubbling inside her, but Saba's image had still clouded her mind. How could she steal her friend's happiness for the sake of her own?

She shook her head, trying to rid herself of those punishing thoughts for what felt like the billionth time. "Things have just been a little weird. You know how I feel about Slyth, but he and Saba..." She couldn't finish the sentence and so instead bit her lip and began to pace back and forth. "Max, promise me you won't say anything, but," she stopped pacing and turned to face him, "I think I need to leave town for a little bit, just to clear my head and try to think through this whole situation. There's just too much going on, with what will happen when Balto and Jenna find out about all this, with my feelings and Slyth's utter confusion. Maybe if I give them all some space, we can figure out a way to make it through all of this with all of our sanity. Now I just need to find a way to leave without worrying everyone, and without any races coming up, I can't think how to go about it."

Jenna sighed in relief, her tail wagging without much prompting on her part. "Good. The last thing we need is to have either of them back in town. At least, not in the state they left." A small huff left her lips as she thought of what Steele had become as a result of his fame and glory as a race dog. And to think he hadn't been all that bad before then. But her thoughts were derailed as Balto mentioned who he had met. "Oh, a sister? I never knew you had a sister. How long do you think she'll stay in town? I'd like to meet her." Her warm smile spread along her maw, charming as always. Though it drooped slightly as she remembered why Balto had gone out in the first place. "And did you find anything indicating that Aleu and her pack have come? Any sign or word of them?" The worried tone returned to her voice.

Max smile as Blitz replied in a friendly tone unlike he planned before sitting himself back down. "Yea, I just wanted to see if everything was alright, y'know?", he said soon after. As he continued to hear he out he had noticed her mood seem to quickly change into almost a sad tone. The brute ears had then pin down as she cut herself off in concern and ask he was about to comment she continued and he had let her speak. As he thought it was about this love ordeal that seem to be tieing everyone into a bunch of love quarrels with themselves. He had noticed the same with his brother over the same thing.

Max's ears then sprung up as she stated her plan and he was unsure of how to think about it and ended up letting his mind speak for itself, "But, Blitz.. You cant leave town, it feels almost as if you just came." The brute really felt saddened by this idea, but had fully known it was really troublesome and so maybe it wasn't such a bad idea to just get away for a bit. "If you really do go, how long do you plan on being away? You know everyone here is going to be questioning about you just disappearing.", he had stated knowing it wasn't going to make her feel much better, but he was worried that she might possibly be using this to simply run away from the problem and he knew she was better then that.

Max had then let out a soft sad sigh as he looked to the ground, "I'm not going to stop you if you really think this is what is best", he sighed once more before looking back towards her, "But you do know if he finds out he'll most likely might come looking for you, right?"

"Amazing! How do they do that?" she whispered to herself as she spied on the humans and their strange machine. The humans were going about their daily business, cutting the wood with that weird spinning wheel-like things. She couldn't understand how they were doing it.
Her ears lowered when the screeching sound came, though her tail was wagging with excitement. These humans sure were strange ones; wearing weird rocks on their ears all the time in there. It really hurt, though, that she was so unfamiliar with the humans, as she, after all, was supposed to be the smart one.

After a few minutes, she left and strolled around the town outskirts. There, she found a white collar of some sorts someone had dropped. It was made of white linen, and she liked it. Matched her black fur. But how was she supposed to put it on?
Pondering this, she didn't notice a child carelessly approaching her.
Eleriss was still in thinking-land when the child laid its hand on her back, patting it. Taking her completely by surprise, Eleriss jumped and growled loudly, resulting in the child running away, screaming.
Cursing herself for being so careless, she took a run for the boat wreckage by instinct that told her to find a hideout.

The black and gray hybrid paced a little back and forth, only half listening at first as Max began speaking. But when he had asked about how long she would be away, her tone alerted him to the dismay he felt. Her icy blue hues darted from the ground to his face suddenly and she studied it for a moment. "Not too terribly long. I don't think I could bring myself to really stay away much longer than a week or two at most. I doubt I'd even be able to survive that long." She sighed lightly, reminded of just how attached she'd become to Nome recently. How would she keep herself from going crazy if she were to leave?

"I don't really want to leave, that's actually the last thing I want to do. But I can't see any way of solving this whole love triangle business if I don't try and put some space between us. I mean, Slyth did just ask Saba to be his mate," her lip trembled a little as she said this, but she managed to keep speaking without faltering again, "It doesn't help that he likes me too, and that Saba is his sister. Balto and Jenna certainly wouldn't approve, but what would they think of me if I made their daughter unhappy?" Her mind travelled again back to Saba's venture into the forest, but she shook it away fervently. "Not to mention Saba's my friend too. What kind of a friend would I be to stab her in the back like that?"

With a sigh, she sat on the ground and looked away for a moment. "I just don't see any other way to try and make some sense out of all of this. With every outcome, someone will be disappointed." She huffed and looked back up at him. "But what am I saying, I have no plausible way of leaving town without everyone getting frantic and worrying about me. There aren't any races coming up that I know of. I could try and find a flyer for one, but Gunner might not want to go on such late notice. Do you have any ideas on how I can pull this off without everyone freaking out?"

But just after she'd said this, a young child came running up the alleyway, screaming like a banshee. It tripped over a small branch protruding from the snow and fell to its knees, sobbing even harder. Pity overwhelmed the husky mix, and without thinking, the dog in her led her to the child, gently placing her muzzle beneath its face. She nudged it gently and licked its salty cheek, trying to dry the tears.
