Hey there all!

I apologize for keeping many of you guys waiting! I've been busy with work and my laptop still isn't fixed yet, but I've found some time to give you eager beavers a quick little update:

- Almost Finished!: My Kodi-centric fic "Proud of Your Boy", which was started a year ago, is now one part away from being complete! Part Two of the Epilogue should be up on FanFiction Now within the next couple of weeks . . . maybe the conclusion will be complete by then too, so cross your fingers!

- It's Not Dead Yet!: Remember my Dusty/Kodi epic, "Forgive Me?" It's still on hiatus, but I'm working on how to finish this tale of love and devotion between these sled dogs. I hope this will be complete by the end of this year, so wish me luck!

- Works in Progress: Well, I have some fics that are focusing most of my other attention, many you might have read about or heard about already:
-- Here I Am: My tale of Aleu's life as the new Alpha of the Kawa Clan is almost finished! The next part is complete as rivals seek revenge and a secret plot to destroy begins to take its toll on the yearling hybrid. Can Aleu manage to survive throughout these difficult challenges and still show the wolves that she was meant for this destiny?

-- An Unexpected Future: My "what if" story of Balto and Jenna is getting great reviews on FanFiction Now! Thank you so much for your comments and reviews! Part Two of Aleu's Tale is in progress, and the other tales are still in the development process. Please continue to tell me what you think of it by reading it (Link is in my signature below; link the story banner to read the Prologue and the beginning of Aleu's tale)

- New Ideas?: Now, don't go stealing my ideas, okay? These are brainstorm ideas at the moment, but they might become stories in a matter of months!

-- Rosy's Journey: Rosy goes on a quest to save someone she loves, and now she recieves a special power that allows her to do the impossible. With Balto by her side, will a eight-year-old girl succeed or will she die trying?

-- Yukon: Love Never Again: Yukon (the blazed pup of the WQ6) tells the story of her young life . . . and of her first real relationship with a handsome male with a dangerous past.

-- The Wild Melody: What if Aleu was adopted? What if her life with a human was not as pleasant as it should be? What if someone else told her the truth of her heritage? What does a red wolf named Fury have to do with this story? You'll have to read it to find out!

-- Bad Luck & Lovestruck: Chosen by readers/writers like you months ago, finally getting written! Kodiak is one unlucky pup - he's not that fast, he's clumsy and a complete klutz, and all the females in town think that he doesn't stand a chance to find a mate. However, his luck might be changing when a mysterious female saves his life in the woods and he falls in love, but this "angel" is more than she seems!

-- Tikia Calling: An original tale of destiny, survival and prejudice - A prophet sensed the aura of a leader from inside the mother, but when two were born, the male was automatically chosen to lead. Can one she-wolf survive the hardships of wolf society, the dangers of nature's fury, and still find the courage to fight for what she believes is right?

- Balto Writers Challenge!: If you've read the Suggestions forum, I'm sure you've heard of my idea for a Short Fic Writing Contest. Once I get the rules approved by Steet, I'll see if I can make it a Sticky on here. I'm working on finalizing the rules and regulations (based on suggestions from the topic thread), so look for the first challenge by August or so!

Hey! More fics coming! Sweet!

It's good to see Proud of Your Boy and Forgive Me are still in the works. I'm also awaiting An Unexpected Future as it's...well...kinda holding my hear hostage. I haven't read much of Here I Am, but I'll work on that.

As for your new fics:
Yukon: Never Love Again seems very promising. I'm interested to hear of one of the less known WQ6 pups.
Bad Luck & Lovestruck sounds great. I'm a big fan of Kodi, so this should be a good read for me at least.

- Proud of Your Boy: The next part of Kodi's quest to live up to his idol's name begins! Can he find the courage to be the leader his team needs to win the race against the bush plane . . . before their jobs are a lost cause? The epilogue continues with a dramatic and emotional moment!


- Star-Crossed: A new version of the classic story of two rival families and the forbidden relationship that two young lovers shared for only a matter of days. In Progress - as of 7/29/07 The prologue might be up within a matter of a couple of days, so look for it!

- The Wild Melody: The tale of what could have been . . . . What if Aleu was adopted by a human? How will her destiny be altered by the knowledge that she lacks? Will her life ever be truly normal? - Part ONE should be up by now, so get reading!


- Here I Am: And don't forget my epic Aleu fic! When Aleu chose to accept her destiny as Alpha of the Kawa Clan, she had no idea what she was up against! Rivalries and new allies are made, secrets about the past are revealed, and a threatening prophecy looms over this young yearling as alliances are formed within the Clan. Yes, the next TWO parts are up for reading!


- Confession: Remix:A dramatic retelling of my ever-popular (and revolutionary) Confession Saga. What if one lover lost the most important thing about themselves? Could love still find a way for them to be together when nature seems to want the lovers apart?
(In Progress - as of 8/7/07: Expect the first chapter to be up within a couple of weeks or less!)

9/7/07 = Major Update!

Remember a while back when I decided to not post any more of my fics on the BS site? (I know, most of you should still have that thick in your brains . . . XD) Well, I have started to change my mind . . . Hurrah.

Yes, as of today, I have begun to post brand-new stories on Balto Source - now with pretty new artwork covers by myself, of course! I've started with my Aleu epic, "Here I Am" (AKA: My version of what happened after Aleu joined the wolves . . . and no, she doesn't die. At least not yet, anyway . . . *covers mouth* oops. ), and I'm beginning to work on a couple of covers for the next chapters of the story (there's about eight parts to the story . . . and that's just the beginning of Aleu's journey! wow.). I'll probably follow up "HIA" with either "Confession Remixed" or "StarCrossed" (a Balto-Universe Version of "Romeo & Juliet" . . . guess whose casted as the leads? XD), or maybe something else . . . I'm not quite sure.

And yes, I am working on the Balto FanFiction Challenge. It's not ready to begin yet, but I'm aiming for it to start around the new year. (That'll give you guys a few months to prepare for it, okay?)

Anywho, I will see you guys later . . . and I hope that this new piece of news makes some of you guys jump for joy!

I have the fic banner and the prologue ready for "StarCrossed", so I'll put it up eventually. Right now, I'm working on my covers for "Here I Am" (I have parts 1-3 finished . . . well, at least 1 and 3 anyways.), but for writing, I'm working on Part 5 (because the cover for Part 4 is gonna take me a week to draw on Paint . . . XD I'm so old school.). I'm hoping to finish "StarCrossed" and "Here I Am" by year's end, so wish me luck!

I'm glad to be back. After that little hiatus from the site, I realized that I missed it too much. Plus, I'm working on my Fic-Writing Contest for Balto, so I had to come back . . . not really, but I wanted to.

I've sent some more fics to BS (including the main story of "Proud of Your Boy", "The Wild Melody", and a couple of others) and totally updated my Writer's Presentation on the site with several new fic ideas and other fics in the works (including an exclusive story about a very popular fan character - thanks to a request from Cat herself!).

Aw, thanks! I agree, it is an overused stereotype for lots of stories, but I'm trying to make it stick to the tragedy that it was while also adding my own style to the story (like the fact that although Boris, Muk and Luk aren't dogs like the other characters, they're still a major part of the story as Balto's friends in the Montague Clan.). I'm having a tiny bit of trouble with the first fight between the Capulets and the Montagues in the streets (based on the first act of the play), but I'll get over it soon enough! Keep on reading!
