Hobbes was prodded by Addanc. "What?" he grumbled sleepily. "Wake up, we're wasting daylight." she said shortly. Hobbes laughed slightly, it was still pitch black. "There isn't even a speck of light out here. Come on, let me sleep a little longer." He compained. Addanc paused, then sighed. "If you are going to be a knight, you have to follow orders. Now come on." she said. Hobbes sighed, and eventually got up.

Once they were on their horses, they galloped through the dark forest. Addnac glanced back ever so slightly to see Hobbes glance back. "What are you looking for? Or should I say, who are you looking for?" she asked, slowing down so she rode side-by-side with him. Hobbes glanced away nervously. "Um, nothing. Just checking to see if anyone or anything would be following us. That's all." He said, and then looked back at her. Addanc nodded slowly. "Alright, carry on then." she said, and galloped ahead again.

Balan growled, and hopped out of the tree he had been sitting in. He whistled for his horse, while the horse galloped past, he quickly hopped on the sattle, and galloped after Addanc and the boy. "Your mission was to kill the girl! Don't worry about them! It's the girl you want. If you don't kill her, you don't get your money. That's what you want, right?" A tiny voice suddenly asked. "Yes, that is what I want." he said aloud, then stopped, and turned around, to look for tracks.

Krystalia heard the assassin talking to himself a ways away from her. He's changing targets... "Sugarfoot, we need to stay closer to Hobbes in case we get into any trouble..." she whispered. They trailed Hobbes and Addanc as closely and quietly as they could.

Hobbes hoped Krystalia was alright, who knows where that assassain would be? But, he knows she can take care of herself. Hobbes glanced around, checking for any signs of the assasain.

Addanc sighed. They were getting no where. They've been out in the woods for atleast three days, and they didn't know where they were, and hadn't seen hide nor tail of the Princess. But, something was definetly odd about Hobbes, she thought. He's hiding something, she could tell. Almost everytime she spoke to him about the Princess, he gets flustered.

Balan was off his horse, and stalked around the woods. "Princess, where are you?" he asked quietly and chuckled to himself. "The sooner you show yourself, the sooner it will be over. Don't you want that? For me to stop following you? But, you'd be dead, so I couldn't follow you." he said, and laughed out loud.

"Sugarfoot, I don't know what to do? Should we go to Hobbes while Addanc is there? Our freedom would be gone, but we'd be safe from the assassin... Or he would just attack sooner and we'd all be sitting ducks..." She whispered to her steed. He shook his head and looked at her as if she were crazy. "Alright, alright. I know. Sorry."

Hobbes saw Addanc looking at him over her shoulder, she seemed to be...studying him. Hobbes rasied a brow at Addanc. "May I help you?" he asked uncertainly. Addanc just seemed to realise she was looking at him, she blinked. "Sorry," she muttered, and turned around. Hobbes shook his head, she was definetly strange.

Addanc cursed her ignorance under her breath. Why was she looking at him? What was he looking for anyway? Was the better question, she shook her head.

Balan growled in frustration. "Come on. Don't make me really start looking for you." he warned.

Krystalia whispered in Sugarfoot's ear and he nodded in agreement. She called to a sparrow and attached a note to the underside of his wing. "Bring this to Hobbes please. Be as covert as possible. The girl with him is getting suspicious." The sparrow chirped in agreement, and flew off.

The note read:
Hobbes,
Please don't be alarmed, but Sugarfoot and I are going to go after the assassin. The other animals will help us. He is looking for me now. The only way any of us will be safe is if he's dead. You can come if you want, but don't get hurt and I don't know what you'll do about Addanc. Wish us luck.

Hobbes was about to doze off on his horse when a quiet chirping noise sounded by his ear. He held out his finger and the sparrow hopped on it. Sure enough there was a not attached to it's leg. He carefully undid the string that attatched the note and read it. Panic flared inside Hobbes after the first sentence. What was she thinking? Going alone into the woods to find the assassin that was out to kill her! He forced himself to calm down and read the rest of the note. He almost sighed with relief, animals will surley help her. Addanc turned around as Hobbes was shoving something into his saddle bag. She decided to ignore that. "We're going in circles," she decided. "Let's go into town." she started to gallop where they had left. They checked into the motel and Addanc immediatly passed out on one of the beds. Hobbes decided that he should go with Krystalia. He went outside, and saw a nearby sparrow, he called to it. While he was on his horse he had written a note to Krystalia:

Dear Krystalia,
I am coming with you to search and kill the assassin. I would rather have me come with you. It's not that I don't think you can handle this yourself, I just can't help worrying about you.

Addanc stirred, and when she woke up-Hobbes was no where in sight. At first she thought he just went out to get some fresh air, but when she went outside, his horse was gone. She groweld. "Where is that boy? When I find him, he's dead meat."

Balan growled. Where was that pesky girl? He wanted his reward money as soon as possible, and that girl wasn't helping him any.

Krystalia and Sugarfoot were watching the assassin. They were readying themselves, about to attack, when a sparrow pecked Krystalia's hand. "ow." she muttered under her breath. She read the note the sparrow was carrying, and whispered its essence into Sugarfoot's ear. "Should we wait? He may mess with our plans, but I fear he will only get us or himself or both killed if he finds us already in battle. He will simply rush in out of pure emotion." Sugarfoot nodded. The pair studied their target and his mannerisms for a while longer while they waited for Hobbes. He better be dead silent and not give our position away... Krystalia thought to herself.

Hobbes realissed he's be to loud if he rode his horse the whole way. He slowed his horse to a stop and unmounted his horse. He patted it's nose, and quietly crept through the woods.

Addanc hopped on her horse and galloped into the woods. "What does that boy think he's doing?" she growled.

Balan was getting really frusterated. "Come on girl." he snarled.

Krystalia tackled Hobbes to the ground and covered his mouth. "You are sooooo loud. We're lucky he didn't hear you..." She smiled and helped him up.

Hobbes frowned against her hand. "I wasn't that loud was I?" he asked after she helped him up.

"No, but his hearing is more sensitive than you think. Hop up on Sugarfoot." She mounted and offered her hand down to him with a smile.

Hobbes took her hand and sat behind her. He wondered if he should put his arms around her, but that would be awkward and that's what girls do. So he kept his arms to himself.

"You might wanna hold on," Krystalia whispered to Hobbes. "Sugarfoot is kinda fast and you're not used to the way he moves. Plus, you don't exactly have a bow on you as far as I can tell, and we won't be close enough for you to attack for a bit." She was smiling at him. There was a teasing hint to her voice, but mostly she just wanted to keep him safe.

Hobbes nodded and slowley wrapped his arms around her waist. He blushed slightly, hoping Krystalia wouldn't find this awkward.
