Hirizi watched her pad out of the den. Faraji walked up to him and lay his tail on his brother's shoulders. "I'll never uderstand lionesses." Faraji told him. Hirizi nodded in agreement.

Hirizi was pacing the floor of the den as Faraji snacked on a rabbit. "Calm down." he told Hirizi. "I can't." he sighed. "I'm dying here."

Hirizi was about to say something to Kayla, but right then his elder sister Njozi came up. "Faraji, Hirizi. You two, me and Endesha are on border patrol for now." she said. "We leave now."

Hirizi looked around to the mountains. Faraji said something to him, but he didn't listen. His mind was on Kayla. He wanted so much to tell her how he felt, but he wasn't sure she felt the same way. He knew she had always had a part taken from her when Tama had died. He didn't want to stress her anymore.
