If he could back away he could run away and if he could run away he could get back to Pride Rock and if he could get back to Pride Rock than he could bring Adanna with him. What Zira said, was true, Kejeli put a paw to her face and felt the scars, then her paw went to a spot on her head where her ear used to be, "Your right...I was once normal looking before, but thanks to a lioness from that pride I'm nothing more than a hideous freak," She said with hate in her voce.
Furahi heard what the cubs had said, if Merah saw them move away she might go after them, her gaze not leaving the lioness, 'I should get these cubs home quickly,' she said to herself.

Dogo was outraged. He jumped in front of Adanna and said something he thought he would never say: "YOU LEAVE HER ALONE!" Then, with a burst of anger and frustration he screamed: "ER-REOAW!" in a failed attempt to roar. He wouldn't let anything hurt Adanna. Even if it ment risking his life. All he had to do to do was tell her to run. "ADANNA, RUUNNN!" he said running away. All I have to do is get Adanna to run and we're free! Then, we get all the way to the Waterhole. Then, we split up! We meet up at the border. Then, we run up a tree and bounce from tree to tree home! he thought
