Ooc:// I enjoy "chats".... JK.

Kara bounced up and down a little. "Yay!" she said, already excited. "Let's hurry; I want to go!"

Rue grinned. "Don't you want to eat first?"

"I guess," Kara replied unenthusiastically.

Ooc:// You know, since Max is with Dylan now, this roleplay would never exist (since Rue is Max/Fang) :/ So I must say that Ratchet is my new favorite character (used to be Fang and Iggy). He's overall really cool and I like his 'tude. Plus, huge headphones are epic >:D

Lark chuckled and handed her a kabob, then got one for himself. "Check for bugs." he told Kara before picking a bell pepper slice off his kabob, popping it into his mouth.

"I'm still dressing as a pirate!" Pascal exclaimed before biting off a piece of his food. "Eye patch and everything!"

Lark rolled his eyes and held out a kabob towards Rue. "Hungry?" he asked after he swallowed his bite.

Ooc:// I like the Starfish dude. How can you not like his battle cry? "I AM STARFISH!!!" LOL Pure epicness.


Kara took the kabob eagerly, taking a huge bite.

Rue took it almost as eagerly, though she ate a bit slower, surprisingly. "Thanks," she mumbled around a mouthful of kabob.

Ooc:// XD Yuss, that was great! Made me smile ^^

"You're welcome." Lark answered, grinning. He took a bite himself, swallowed, and asked, "So where to first? Jeb's or shopping?" he paused, then added, "Well, it'll take some time for me to get enough money, but not too long. Maybe a half-hour, and we'll have enough to buy new clothes for all of us."

"AND PIRATE COSTUMES!" Pascal exclaimed, pumping his fist in the air as if he was at a concert.

Lark facepalmed.

Ooc:// Okay, that really did make me laugh out loud. "Lark facepalmed"....reminds me of Sokka, from TLA. XDDD

"Yes, and pirate costumes," Rue grinned.

"I'm so being a model!" Kara said, giving Pascal a high five.

Now it was Rue's turn to facepalm. "As long as you aren't a cheerleader," she mumbled.

Ooc:// *bows* Thank you, thank you. And yes, it's VERY Sokka-ish XD

"Did I miss the memo that Halloween was coming early this year?" Lark asked sarcastically, pointing his kabob at the two like a teacher points a... well, a pointer... at students. "If so, then I'm totally dressing as Luke Skywalker." He cracked a smile, then continued eating. "So what's the plan for today, Rue?"

Rue couldn't suppress a small laugh. In response to Lark's question, she gave a small shrug. "Let's get to Jeb's, and see what happens. We can decide from there," she replied.

"Alright." Lark replied, nodding his head and finishing off the last bit of his kabob. "So where's the address again?"

"Wait guys," Pascal interrupted, staring intently at the ground. "Since Angel was my mom, and the whitecoats wanted her the most out of any of our parents, does that mean that I-"

"We shouldn't think that way." Lark abruptly cut in. "Besides, we didn't even get to Jeb's yet." he paused, looking at him, seeing if he had any more suspiscions that Lark could reassure him about. "Besides," he continued, "If things take a turn for the worse, we'll find a way. We always have."

"We haven't exactly been in this situation before," Kara put in, putting the last pice of vegetable in her mouth.

"Let's just go, alright?" Rue said. "Standing here isn't going to get us there any quicker. Let's get a move on."

"Uh, Erasers?" Lark argued to Kara, thinking it was a pretty good retort.

"Okay, let's go." Pascal agreed, expanding his small wings, feeling the muscles stretch and feathers fall into place.

Lark expanded his vast, silvery wings and shook them a bit, to get the feathers all in their right places. "We'll probably be back again tonight," he announced, "So we should just leave the stuff here for now."

"Only once," Kara shrugged. "That doesn't exactly give us dependable odds." At Pascal's words, she stood up, closely followed by Rue.

Rue spread her wings, the muscles appreciating the stretch. "It may end up taking longer than that. We don't know how long we'll be at Jeb's. We should probably bring our stuff," she replied, already grabbing her bag, and tossing Pascal his.

"Fine." Lark said curtly, reaching for his bag. She was the leader, after all. "Here, Kara." he called, picking up Kara's pack and handing it to her.

Pascal caught his bag and stood at the mouth of the cave, waiting for one of the older kids to lead the way.

Kara nodded quickly in thanks, and slung it over her shoulders.

Rue headed towards the mouth of the cave, and didn't hesitate before leaping into the open space. She closed her eyes, briefly enjoying the feeling of free-fall. It was hard to be scared when you knew you could fly, after all. She spread her wings, and they acted as a parachute, the feathers catching the breeze and halting her fall.

Pascal dove after Rue, streamlining his wings to make him like a bullet speeding through the wind. He kept his eyes wide open, and at every takeoff he could never help but smile his biggest. The feeling of his heart jumping into his throat was exhilarating, and as he shot past Rue, he finally opened his wings to catch himself.

Lark half-folded his large wings and jumped off, following close after Pascal. He opened his wings almost right away, knowing that if you've felt a freefall once, you've felt it a hundred times, and right now there was no time to lose.

Kara hurried to follow everyone, soon catching up.

Rue passed Pascal as she beat her wings, their powerful muscles working smoothly to keep her light body aloft. She took a moment to consider their course, then led the way.
