Katie chuckled, and licked Cachen's cheek. "We love you all too."

Jenna grinned. "Your mother's a given." she said, leaning against her mate.

Aleu chuckled, shaking her head gently. "Its not real swimming. But when you're bigger, Papa will teach you to swim."

Katie nodded, half smiling. "why neglect innocent pups for something they didn't do? They would be mine, and I would love them as much as I love you." she said, rubbing her belly again.

Aleu nodded, ruffling the pup's headfur as he asked. She looked to Balto, and stood up. "Youre right Papa, we have to get going."

Jenna looked nervous. "But aren't you still hurt?"

Aleu shook her head, ears pinned back. "It doesn't matter, we have to go."

Katie nodded, watching Aleu stand up. "Thank you. Now, help your Momma up. My back is killing me." she said, Kodi coming over to nudge her up slowly.

Aleu nodded, smiling to Lena. "Thanks to my very smart niece." she said, stretching. "Amarok won't mess around." she said, comforting Derbin when he whimpered.

Jenna nodded, still looking upset. "If you're sure you're gonna be okay..."

Katie chuckled. "Honey, pregnant have to be the toughest things alive." she said, sighing as she got to her paws.

"It's true," Kodi said, leaning in and whispering. "I am terrified of your Mom, she's scary. And violent towards me." he joked with a fake whimper.

Aleu nodded, nuzzling her little siblings as they came up to her concernedly. "I'll be fine."

Tai smiled, watching Kai shake his fur out, before going out into the open air. "Another adventure, huh Lena?" she asked her sister.

"I know baby." said Katie, nuzzling Cachen fondly. "But it's safer for me and the puppies to go with you, with the Amarok coming."

Aleu nodded, giving a big smile as she headed out of the den. "Yep. But first we have to go see Nava."

Tai giggled and nuzzled her sister, before trotting out of the den happily. "I can't wait, to be honest."

"Thats easy..." said Tai, grinning. "We want you with us. It wouldn't be an adventure without you." she said with a light blush.

Kai chuckled, nudging Lena. "I wouldn't trade this life for anything else." he said, tail wagging.

Jenna smiled, leading her pups out of the den.

Aleu smiled. "I'll be okay, Papa, I'm a big girl." she said.

Aleu thought, looking a little grim. "They say the Amarok is a giant wolf who hunts anyone who is foolish enough to hunt alone at night. That includes animals and humans. He's relentless." she said lightly, not wanting to scare the little ones.

Tai giggled, nudging Fang softly. "You've always been there Fang."

Kai grinned, shaking his head. "That was wild."

Aleu looked at her Father curiously. "Who?" she said, limping every now and again to ease the pain in her ribs.

Tai laughed, unable to believe it. "I really think you must have been exhausted."

Kai nodded, looking up to the sky. "Heaven help us. Weirdest Christmas ever."
