Lily closed her eyes and felt the demon wings spreading from her back. They resembled a dragon's wings, leathery with the metacarpals and phalanges clearly identified by the thick covering of flesh around them on the underside. From the top side, you could only barely see where the bones were if you were really trying. There was a hooked thumb/claw-like projection where the bones met to form the carpus on the wing. Naturally, her wings were black on the top side and a faint crimson on the underside.
The girl arched her back and stretched the wings, like she hadn't used them in a while, then started running toward Rue. If the wolf girl didn't fight, she'd hook her arms around her waist, flap her wings and take them both off the ground, following Syvor with a grin. "Hold on tight," she said with a smirk.

Rue's face was slowly colored white as she went pale. Strong arms wrapped around her waist, and lift her into the air. The werewolf was scared of heights, and closed her eyes firmly as her feet left the leaf-strewn ground. Rue gave a soft moan, feeling nauseous. This wouldn't be fun, not in the slightest.
Kenya felt a small twinge of sympathy for Rue, but there wasn't much she could do to help that. She spread her own wings, the sun's warmth feeling wonderful. She flapped hard, leaping up to help give her some boost. The familiar, lighter-than-air feeling rushed through her, and she couldn't suppress a small smile.
