"What are we doing here?" Maya asked, recognizing the building where her dad worked. He stayed silent, seemingly unable to answer the question. Knowing he wouldn't answer if she asked again, she opened the door, stepping out of the car hesitantly. She had only seen the building once, but even then it had given her a feelig of unease. Now it seemed like her stomach was filled with lead. Swallowing depite her dry mouth, she waited for her siblings to get out.

Seth lifted his head, thinking he heard a car door slam. He wanted to scream "help" but besides the fact he could barely move because he looked like a pin cushion with all the needles, he knew the car door was probably his father arriving. He set his head down again.

Fletcher exited the vehicle, a firm grip on Harmon's sleeve. He narrowed his eyes at the building, recognizing it from somewhere. Dad's work? he thought.
Harmon didn't even have time to get his balance with Fletcher having a tight grip on his sleeve. "Where are we?" he squeaked.

ONce again, her father stayed silent, but it was a different silence this time. More like as if he were thinking; Soon, I won't have to deal with them anymore. Fighting back the shiver that itched to race down her spine, and managed to answer Fletcher, her voice a low whisper. "It's dad's work." For some reason, even those words seemed forbidding and terrifying. They would've sounded perfectly innocent and safe in another child's mouth.
As her dad walked in, Maya realized she barely even knew him. Dad doesn't seem right for him anymore...she thought, accidentally allowing the shiver to course down her back as it crossed her mind. She grabbed Bridget's hand for comfort. Despite how leaderly and motherly she could be at times, she was still a kid, and she needed someone to be there for her too. She had no choice but to follow Dad, or rather the man in fronrt of her, inside though.
Inside, the strong smell of antiseptic was immediatly noticable, and Maya struggled to to sneeze.

Seth wasn't surprised by his father entering the door, but a smile crossed his face when he saw his siblings come in as well. That is, until he saw Fletcher.

"Alright." said Fletcher sternly. "What's going on here? Why are we here anyway?" he stared hard at his 'dad' and stood, not moving another inch until he got an answer. The smell was horrible, but his determination to get an answer was stronger than his need to cringe.

Maya interrupted before an answer could be gien. "Oh my gosh," she said faintly, grabbing the arm of the person next to her tightly. It happened to be Fletcher. "Is that Seth?" Her eyes were wider, and the feeling of uease almost made her throw up then and there. "What are you doing with him?" she demended, whirling to the man she no longer would call 'dad'.
"It will be explained soon enough," he said, his voice gruffer than normal. He cleared his throat subtly.

Bridget wanted to choke her 'dad', but she knew if she did she knew that her attack would be met with punches. Here there was no way to escape, no way to reach out for help. She saw Seth and her eyes widened in a mix of fear, sadness and shock. She wanted to scream curses at her 'dad', but knew that it wouldn't help anything, so she remained silent.

Fletcher widened his dark green eyes at Seth, who was lying out on a stretcher with needles in his arms. "What in the-" he exclaimed, but was soon cut off by Harmon's shrieking.
Harmon let out a loud screech when he saw what they were doing to his brother, and his blue eyes were once again filled with tears, his hands over his mouth in horror. He took his hands away and squeaked, "What are they doing to him?! Are they gonna do that to us?!"

Seth wanted to say something to them, to run up and hug every last one of his siblings and run from their father, but he was motionless. He struggled to move and was able to inch a few feet up but couldn't go up any more and fell again. "Hey guys..." he said weakly, knowing it was probably the only thing he'd be able to say for a while.

A tear ran down Bridget's cheek when she saw what was happening to Seth. Are they going to do that to me? She thought, obviously scared. Uncounscously shaking, she let out a shaky breath.

Maya squeezed Fletcher's arm harder, trembling now. "They're goign to do that to us, aren't they?" she asked, facing her 'father' with wide, horrified eyes. Her heart pounded in her ears, and she let go of Fletcher's arm, tensing. No response was needed before she ran. A hard grip stopped her, and she looked up to see her 'dad'. "Let me go," she whispered. She wanted to say it loudly, to demand it, but her voice seemed to have stopped working.

Fletcher couldn't say a word. He could only breathe heavily, feeling as if he was going to faint. "There's no way out of this, Maya." he said with regret. He looked at her, his eyes pleading for her to submit. "We can't escape now." he added. As he did his best to swallow his tears, he choked on them. "We can't."

Seth, now fully realizing this was probably all his fault, said one last thing. "Sorry guys. This is probably all my fault." He closed his eyes, ashamed he could be so stupid as to bring the only people who truely loved him into his big mess. "I shouldn't have ran. And I shouldn't have-" he coughed. He was losing a bunch of blood. He set his head down again, unable to finish his sentence.
