Phoenix's 'main target' was already rushing to meet him, although she didn't know it yet. She paused briefly, thinking she heard something like scuffling in the dirt, but when it stopped she started up again. 'Gleadr!' she cried, pushing past the trees until she reached the cliff, only to be met by Phoenix and two other dragons. Her surprise showed clearly on her face, but it turned to seriousness and anger. 'Where's Glaedr. What are you doing back here?' she asked, no trace of growl in her voice...yet.

Pheonix spun around to face her, he grinned evilly. "Oh, nothing...Just out for a midnight murder." He said. He chuckled as he walked right up to Aurora until their noses were almost touching. "Let's just say you won't be seeing your precious Glaedr any time soon. However, maybe if I killed you...you might be able to see him." He growled in a low yet softer tone than the one he used before.

Aurora stepped back in surprise. 'You...you didn't...he isn't...Glaedr!' she cried, rushing past Phoenix and searching the fringes of the forest. She turned back to Phoenix sharply, her eyes...different than before, more beast-like. 'What have you done to him. Where is he?' she growled, her voice now low and sinister. She took a few steps closer to Phoenix, her mind slowly turning into the strange, bloodlust state his was in. Only she was worse.

"I simply let the idiots distract him, and when the timing was perfect I pushed him from the cliff to the raging river bellow. If the river didn't get rid of him, the waterfall will..All those sharp rocks at the bottom, the force of water crashing down!..The perfect way to drown a dragon." He replied, wearing his evil smirk that he oh-so-constantly wore.

'Well...what do you want now?' Aurora snarled, struggling to control her anger. It was a losing battle, but she was still trying. She shuffled to the edge of the cliff, peering down in the hopes Glaedr had somehow climbed out or flown out of harm's way. She turned back to Phoenix, scowling at his smug smile. 'If Glaedr is hurt...or dead...then I'll...I'll...' she didn't want to say what she would do, but the thought was still in her mind.

'Your disease...?' Aurora muttered, her mind flashing back to the horrors of the parasite. She quickly reminded herself that he had just said he wanted to kill her. 'You are sick, you know that? And anyway, there is something about me that you don't know, that no one apart from Glaedr and Huntress know. But your about to find out' she snarled, her pupils shrinking until they became slits in her anger clouded mind. Her fury took over, as it had been for the past few minutes, and she leapt for Phoenix's throat.

Pheonix was caught completely off guard and so the attack was a direct hit, but he wasn't about to give up that easily. When he came to his senses he quickly threw her off with brute strength, her being female and him being male, it was rather easy to throw her off. But when she collided with the ground it didn't seem to phase her, and this made Pheonix rather curious as to what she was talking about. 'Something about her that I don't know..' Thought Pheonix, before growling at Aurora. Oh if only he knew she was part spirit and couldn't die from a mere mortal like himself. He decided to play around a bit more with her emotions, for he rather enjoyed watching her lose her temper. "Do you know how much better everything felt when I killed him?" He snickered.

Aurora found herself on the ground quite suddenly, but she simply stood up and shook it off with a snarl. She backed away slightly, preparing to leap once again, but she heard Phoenix's words. She let out a cry that was a horrific mixture of a scream and a roar, rearing onto her hind legs as she did so. Tears began to stream down her face, and with every one that fell Aurora could feel a little bit more of her sanity wash away with them. But this time she didn't mind, this time she relished the feel, the power that over took her. After a few seconds Aurora was no more, but it would not appear this way to Phoenix. She roared, phlem flying from her maw, and charged at him.

As Pheonix turned to look at her fully, she charged into him again and this time managed to push him back just so he was right at the edge of the cliff. He growled and was about to rush forward when he heard a faint cracking sound under his paws. With every passing moment the cracking got louder and finally the rocks crumbled beneath his weight. He fell from the cliff and what he saw before he plunged into the icy cold river, was something that made his anger flare. As he struggled against the current, he let out a roar of anger as he fell from the waterfall.
Glaedr watched from the ledge as Pheonix disappeared over the raging waterfall, he slowly made his way up the cliff. When he had fell, he'd been lucky enough to fall upon the ledge that saved his life. 'I swear I have someone watching over me.' He thought as he climbed up.

Aurora had been standing nearby when the cliff began to collapse. The rocks grew lines across them, resembling a dark spider web. And Aurora was the fly. Every time she moved her feet she heard the sickening crunch of loose rocks. Phoenix disappeared but she no longer cared anymore. She had to get away! Moving quickly but carefully, she reversed to the more solid part of the cliff, but not quickly enough. The whole side collapsed and Aurora found herself being dragged down without warning. For some strange reason her eyes drifted left to see Glaedr climbing the rock face. A moment of panic seized her, but it turned to a smile as she loosened her muscles so that the impact into the water would not hurt so much. Like a ragdoll she fell, crashing into the water and forgetting to breathe.

Glaedr watched in horror as Aurora fell. "Aurora!" He cried out to her as she disappeared beneath the water. Without a thought for his own life he leapt down to the water but clung to a rock and looked around for signs of his love. "Aurora!" He shouted again.

This had worked better than Huntress had expected. Phoenix was dead, how could he have survived the fall, along with Glaedr who had gone the same way. Aurora was at least out of the way for a while, drowning had to keep her occupied for a while. Leaning over the new edge of the cliff, Huntress made sure nothing was alive down there. Much to her dismay she spotted Glaedr in the freezing water, but he was too busy looking for Aurora to be of any bother. Silently she turned to return to her Clan.
Aurora didn't feel the impact of her body against the rushing water, she was already dead by that time. Her eyes were cold and staring, but somehow she could still see. Or at least she thought she could see. This is very odd. I know I'm dead, but...oh there goes a fish...but I'm probably not dead as I'm thinking I am dead she thought, confusing herself in the process. She tried to shake her head but nothing was responding, it was like she was in the back seat of a sinking car. She tumbled through the water, noticing that she had already gone over the falls. Something was nagging at the back of her mind, like something was trying to reach her. Without thinking she formed a hand with her mind and grabbed whatever was trying to call to her. There was a rush of sound and...Atun? What did you say I can't make you out...ATUN? Please try and stay calm, I'm coming...coming... The connection broke and she saw soft sand as she washed up on the shore. Darkness appeared at the edge of her vision and she passed out.

By the time Glaedr had gotten to safety, Aurora was out of his sights. He walked over and peered over the edge of the falls, but with all the mist and spraying water he could barely see anything except a faint Silhouette. He hoped it was her, and more importantly he hoped that she wasn't dead. He shook the water from his wings by giving a few flaps and prepared to glide down there.

Atun woke with a start, hearing the dark chuckles of several dragons. A large female stepped through the entrance to the small, damp cave he was cornered in, peering at him with half-closed eyes. 'You're awake. Huntress will be here soon and then we can leave. You can go to your new home' she said slowly, unmoving. Atun scrambled to his feet, the last dregs of his dream slipping away from memory. He had sworn he had heard Aurora's voice, but it was just a dream...right? 'I'm not going! I don't need a new home with you...murderers' he cried, bracing himself to run. the female laughed and took a step closer. 'This isn't your home Atun, your home is with your family...us' she said, her voice bright. It sounded out of place and forced. She took a few more steps and closed the gap between the two, leaning her head down to meet Atun's. 'You stay right here and you won't get hurt'. Her words sent a shiver down Atun's spine, and all he dared do was watch her leave.
