Shay nodded. She agreed with Fen about her sister. She ran after him, her dark hair flying out behind her. Altuogh she started out behind him, she soon caught up, and was running beside him.

Fen nodded and then jumped over a fallen tree, when he landed he was in his wolf form. He pointed his muzzle upward a bit as he let out a low, but strong howl. A coyote ran up to him and was running by his side, they shared a few barks and then the coyote took off. He looked back at Shay giving her a look that said 'I know a safe place.'

Shay somehow knew what the look said, and nodded.

Fen new she understood and he turned sharply to the left, running through a river, the water splashing around his dark brown paws. Ducking under low trees and tall bushes he ran deeper into the forest, after running for so long that his paws had started to bleed he slowed down to a trot, and then to a walk. He turned and waited for Shay, shifting back into his wolf form he looked at her and held out his hand. "This way they wont hurt you." He waited for her hand to rest in his, he felt somewhat bad, he didnt want to put the girl that had saved his life in danger...even if she was a vampire and was part of the race that started this war.

Shay was panting lightly, and skidded to a stop, glad for a break. She placed her hand in his.

Fen nodded and closed his hand around Shay's. He pulled her into his side and wrapped his arm around her, as if protecting her from the world around them. He looked up at the sky and sniffed the air, taking a moment to look around and evaluate the forest around him, closing his eyes so his hearing and scenting increased. He opened his eyes and then slowly took a step forward, keeping Shay pressed against his body. He pushed his way through some thick bushes and then walked out into the center of a small village, it looked abandond with no one out and no noise sounding from anyware. He sniffed the air and the pulled Shay to his chest, putting his back between her and the village as a large mass slammed into Fen's back. He winced slightly and then turned around slightly, keeping Shay away from the attacker but letting Fen snarl loudly at the enemy. The attacker backed up as Fen snarled something in a wolf-like language.

"...why is she here?" A deep voice, that was the voice of the attacker broke the silence. Fen looked, and allowed Shay to see the other werewolf standing there.

An electric tingle raced down Shay's spine as she was pulled towards Fen. She was pressed against his side, able to feel his heart beating. She closed her eyes for a brief few seconds, before the werewolf moved forward. As a large figure slammed into Fen, the tingles immediatly ceased, replaced by an urge to help fight. She was held away from the unexpected attacker, and was unable to see him at first. Then Fen shifted, and Shay's blue eyes managed to look at the other werewolf, standing in a slight crouch.

Fen let out a low, warning growl that rumbled in his chest and he looked at the other werewolf. "...Kian...she is different from the others. She freed me."

Kian snarled and then looked at Shay with harsh, pale, ice cold golden eyes. "...you dare bring a blood sucking freak, that inslaved our brothers and sisters and you just let it waltz in here! Your a traitor! Im going to kill her slowly infront of you and then kill you!" Fen snarled and pulled Shay closer to his body. The males were just about to lunge at each other when a flash of gloden fur slammed into Kian. Fen relaxed as the two coyotes held Kian on the ground. "...C-Coyotes?" Kain blinked and looked at Fen, who nodded and then pulled Shay aside. "He wont dare touch you anymore." He kept her close to his side as he walked into one of the small log cabins. He locked the doors, and turned the lights on, but keeping the lighting dim. He let his hold on shay go and he walked to the fire place, starting a fire and then sitting on the couch, he turned around slightly to look at Shay. "...This is....my home...uhm.." he rubbed the back of his neck not sure on what to say. "...uh...make yourself at home."

Shay was still a bit shocked after the ordal with Kian, and adrenaline still made her heart thud faster than it normally would, but she managed to nod. The fire warmed her chilled arms, and she rubbed them, staring at the flickering flames.

Fen looked at shay and looked at the seat on the couch beside him, it was a rather large couch so she didnt have to sit next to him if she didnt want to. "...Take a seat." He got up and hung his sword and stuff on the wall, rubbing the nack of his neck again as he went upstairs, he looked around and frowned a bit. He looked over the railing and looked down at Shay, staying unoticed by her. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips but he quickly shoved it away and went back into the other room, he fixed the bed and then layed a sleeping bag on the floor. He shrugged. It would just have to do for tonight. He walked back downstairs and looked at her. "Anything you need just let me know."

Shay was seating on the couch, her fingers running over the rough, yet comfortable, fabric of the sofa. She looked up as Fen spoke. "Anything you need, just let me know." A small smile crossed her face, undetected by the lycan. She turned to let him catch a small glimpse of it, then nodded.

Fen sawa slight smile play on Shay's lips and he felt his heart leap. He rubbed the back of his neck again and then turned to rumage through the fridge. Managing to find a steak he pulled it out and pulled the wrapper off of it, he liked raw steaks, it was just a wolf thing. He looked at the blood around it and the thought came back to him, Shay would need blood. He lifted his head to look at her. He drained most of the blood from the steak and put it into a glass, sitting back on the couch he offered her the glass. "...Its the blood from the steak...i know its not like blood from a living thing..but i think you should still drink it..."

To be honest, Shay didn't care if it was from a living thing or not. Her hands had recently begun trembling slightly, and she grabbed the glass, staring into the crimson depths before drinking it. The salty taste made her feel more awake, even though Shay hadn't realized she was tired. She wiped the red stain off of her mouth, the glass only partway full now. "Thank you," she said, taking another sip.

Fen nodded, eating the steak and trying to keep his mind from the fact that Shay was drinking blood. It made an instict in him want to turn and run, espically because of the horried memories that were from his past. He shook the memories from his mind and then stood up, putting the plate away and then sitting back down on the couch. "....a war is going to break out soon...."

Shay's small grin of thanks faded quickly. "I know," she said slowly, debating how else to tackle the unexpected words. She stared at the couch, then into Fen's violent eyes. "We have to stop it," she said suddenly.
