"Oh, I'm sorry, Mirai." said a blushing Sally. "But we are all a species of animal. I'm a squirrel, Sonic's a hedgehog, Tails is a fox, Espio's a chameleon, Sora's a skunk, Knuckles is an echidna, Shadow's an artificial being in the shape of a hedgehog, Gerath's a wolf, and Eggman's a human." she chuckled and added, "...kinda."

"More or less." added Shadow.

Mirai nodded. "I see...is a human considered out of the ordinary in this universe? Because I can take on another form." he said.

"I wouldn't much worry about fitting in, we're all a bit of stand outs." said Knuckles. "We're all well known, and even if we were, we'd probably stand out, Sonic can run at super sonic speeds, I can punch through rock, Tails has two tails, and Sally rides around on machines with a high tech computer." he said. "So disguises really don't matter hanging out with us."

Mirai nodded. "Now I've seen all of your species in Japan, in some form, but I still do not think I've seen one of Sora's species." he said. "Sorry, as I said, my knowledge of Earthly things is rather childish, so I can be somewhat naive and curious."

OOC: That's basically Mirai's personality in the series, serious when he needs to be, curious when he isn't.

"Don't worry about fitting in, Mirai." said Shadow. "I never fit in and never will. It doesn't matter anyway."

"Sora's a skunk, obviously." informed Gerath. "I think they're part of the rodent family, but you're going to have to ask Sora herself. I'm only a kid, y'know!"

"Don't get your diapers in a knot, Gerath." joked Espio, teasing. "One thing you need to know about skunks: when they start to do a handstand, run for your life."

"The reason Sora's the guard is skunks have a special defense, they can spray this nasty smelling stuff, they don't like to but sometimes they have no choice." said Sonic. "So she makes a good guard, since even if they can stand the smell, they're easy to track."

Mirai nodded. "Facinating, at least to me. I always love learning about Earth animals." he said. "But does she have a trait that makes her unique? Like all of you have?"

OOC: What would be a good special ability for her to have...that doesn't involve her musk.

Ooc:// Maybe she can have the power to touch someone's hand and feel how good or bad they are? I dunno, I think it's cool. Since she's the guard, she should know which ones are intruders, or if they're just lost. If you don't like that I have more.

"Like I said," continued Gerath, "You'll have to ask her yourself. Even though she's pretty much my foster mother, I don't know everything."

OOC: Sounds good, I like it.

"Hey Sora, do you have something special? I forget." said Sonic, admitingly. "I mean like how I have my speed, Knuckle's his strength, Tails' flight with his tails and all that."

Sora nodded. "Yes, I can see someone's motives if I touch them." she said. "It comes in handy."

Mirai nodded. "I see, that is a unique and useful power for sure." he said.

"Guys, I know we all want Mirai to be comfortable, but can we try to find out a way to locate the Chaos Emeralds before Yapool and his goons do?" asked Knuckles. "I don't want to see a creature with reality warping powers get even stronger."

"I agree with Knuckles entirely." said Shadow. "If we don't get those other six Emeralds, someone else will."

"Oooh! Ooh! Ooh!" oohed Gerath, raising his hand so high it seemed like he was gonna explode. "Can I come? Pleeease?"

"What about your parents? What will they say?" asked Tails.

Since Tails didn't come to Knothole often, Gerath mumbled, "C'mon, Tails, you know what happened to them."

Tails remembered the incident with Gerath's parents and the invasion. "Oh yeah, sorry." he apologized.
