De's eyes softened as he looked at Shay clutching him. "Your going to think im completely insane, or your going to run away screaming." He froze for a minute taking in her scent, probably for the last time. "I'm a.....vampire" He waited for her response, bracing for the worst.

De faced her and his face was completely calm. His eyes didn't show any traces of lying and neither did his body posture. "You don't belive me...he grabbed her wrist, stood up making her do so as well, and ran towards the woods in one fluid motion. Once he was sure they were alone he grabbed her shoulders and turned her so she was faceing him "What do I need to do to prove that I'm a vampire to you. Im not insane, it's not a joke." He tightened his grip on her shoulders "Tell me..." De whispered.

De shook his head "Of course I'm not going to eat you....but your blood just is......weird, to me." He searched for words again. "Your not just any human." He reached a hand out towards her but withdrew it before he could touch Shay, he didn't want to scare her even more.

"Well to vampires, humans tend to have the same, smell. But when I met you, your blood smelled different, way better than anyone elses." De turned still wating for her to run screaming. "It means that it's harder to control the monster in me. I wanted to kill you as soon as I set foot on campus, but i fought it, no normal human can smell that good. So i didn't kill you." He shuddered at the thought of killing her now.

De turned shocked "Shay, of course not, I truly love you! You were just so different i wanted to see outside of school. I've been waiting for something like you for so long."

De coudn't help it he grabbed her wrist gently and pulled her over, shifting his hand from her wrist to her side to the lower part of her back, and hugged her, his face burried in her hair. "Shay you couldn't ever understand how amazing you are."

"Im sorry I ran out so fast, your scent was just so intoxicating." De pulled her closer.
