Odin: Uhhh... she's a good... friend *shifts eyes uneasily*. I talk to her just as much as everyone else! Not more! hehe...

<<<I didn’t recognize either of the voices, but I could bet that the second one was Rex’s mate-to-be. I could easily start my attack like this! I crouched, ready to spring as soon as the figure came into the shed. But the figure that came in the old shed was the silver husky: Roxy’s friend. She was smaller and way thinner then me! So I let my guard down. Shelby sniffed the floor and peered around nervously. I slipped out of my hiding place and when her blue eyes darted on me, she gasped.
“Hey there sweet cheeks” I crooned.
Shelby franticly looked around for anything she could use. She darted for a piece of rope on the floor and held it in her teeth, a new gleam in her eyes. I chuckled.
“Do you really think a little rope would stop me?” I smiled through half closed eyes.
The husky’s eyes flitted to something above me. Still smiling, I looked up. My smile dropped right off my face. Above me was a bundle of tools that probably couldn’t fit in the shed’s cramped floor and were bound by rope to the low roof. And the end of the rope keeping the tools above me was dangling out of Shelby’s mouth.
“Isn’t that convenient” I said softly. Then I narrowed my eyes. “You don’t have the guts to do it”
“Try be” Shelby said through the rope with false confidence.
I grinned and started to waltz over to her. In an act of desperation and without actually meaning to, the silver husky scrambled away from me and in doing so, pulled the rope.>>>

<<< Ridge, Nimbin and Loki were all circling the herd as well as Saphrina was. They had tried to bring the herd closer to the house, but the big stupid animals stood stubbornly at the point out the pen closest to the woods. She lost sight of the other three for a moment, but she knew it was only a matter of time before Nimbin jumped out from somewhere. While she walked, she felt like something was following her and when she paused, the hair on her back stood on end. Her ears twitched backward and when she strained to hear, something was definitely breathing. Smiling to herself, Saphrina didn’t have to look over her shoulder.
“Nimbin, you’re going to have to work harder then that to surprise me!”
“Who’s Nimbin?” an eerie, smooth and familiar voice whispered in her ear, sending chills racing up her spine. Saphrina turned to look into the same blue eyes she had the night before. Solo was back.>>>

<<< The Shepherd and Rottweiler were nowhere in sight. They were probably still rounding up dogs to guard the shed. The blue-grey dog made her way to the shed and studied the lock, remembering how John had locked it. She stood on her hind legs and using her nose, tipped the nail out of the two metal rings. Then she stood back, letting the door swing open on its own. At first nothing happened. No sounds. No glowing blue eyes. Just silence. For a moment, Saphrina was convinced the wolf had already escaped. Then Solo limped out into the moonlight, curiously scanning around until his eyes rested on Saphrina.
“What are you doing?”
“Letting you go” Saphrina answered, eyes on the ground. “Don’t say anything else. Just get out of here before they come back. I don’t want anything else to do with you after this. Go away... and stay away from me and my farm”
Saphrina looked up, making eye contact with Solo. The expression on his face was a mix of gratitude and hurt.
“Just go”
Solo didn’t say anything else and limped off. Saphrina waited until Solo was out of the yard, then headed for the gate herself. Voices echoed through the gate. With a jolt, Saphrina recognized the voice of the white Shepherd. Panicking...>>>

<<< Everest nodded and jogged away, smile fading into a determined frown as soon as his back was turned to the fat wolf.
Portly tottered after, head and tail as high as his spirit. Everest led the wolf right back to his own territory. When he climbed down into the dried riverbank, he was relieved to see that no one had returned from scouting yet. They probably would’ve given him away.
“Where is everyone?” Portly asked, confused.
“Out hunting probably or killing another pack... the usual”
Everest led Portly to the main den and eyed an old log resting on top.
“Just wait in there and Hiatus will be here in a bit”
“In there?” Portly asked, face a little puzzled. “But shouldn’t I wait out here, in case the rest of the pack follows?”
“I’m sure they’ll find you” Everest reassured the wolf, as Portly warily entered. Everest hopped right on to the top of the den and using all his strength, pushed the rotting log until it rolled off the bank and clunked in front of the den. Sealing Portly in.
Portly made some strange noise and rushed to the log, trying to claw his way out.
“Everest! Everest help me out! I seem to be stuck!”
Everest hopped down, smiling pleasantly. “Good”>>>
