Okay, the anatomy is off, but they look like wolves to me. I mean, if realism is the problem, just might as well, be saying they shouldn't even be talking. It's CGI, not live action, I don't think a four year old watching this would be like, "Mom, this movie is terrible, the wolves shouldn't be able to stretch like that, take me home." They could just be trying to make the characters a bit more human, by using, hair, gestures, e.t.c.

My answer was 'yes, it is but it's using wolves as the luring device'. God forbid if they did it with meerkats, my country would flock to it with the current craze going on here. I do like meerkats but I like them for Meerkat Manor, not the adverts popping up about them.
Back on topic. I would rent the DVD, as UK says for the sake of comedy and for seeing how much crap they have fitted into this hour and a bit film. Also, Cat; the scenerios you put for the 'we make a good team' line were just awesome. You should write a movie, you know? The perception I had wasn't that, it was that the Alphas were more serious and the Omegas tended to be more laid back, just happened to be the genders. They could've inverted the gender roles (made the Alpha a male and the Omega a female) and they'd probably have kept it the same. But then someone would accuse them of being sexist. So ether way, they run into a case of being unable to please everyone when it comes to gender, so they probably just went with the gender roles that people would have the least problem with. Anyway, I'm actually looking forwards to it. Probably the reason I am is I love movies with the "trying to get home" theme, particularally the adventure type ones.

Ah, when the commercial for it came on my TV, my mom was like, "Look! They made a wolf movie for you!" xD
My mom knows I'm totally wolf-crazy.
I hate the hair, cheesy lines and stale trying-to-get-back-home theme, but I'll see it 'cause I can, and despite everyone bad-mouthing it (I know I did too, and the anatomy is HORRID as well) but I'll see it anyway. I mean, Open Season looked alot like this does, and that was a cute movie.

I'm not going to see it. I don't wish to waste my money. Though I can't wait to see the reviews on it.

And the reviews it is. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/alpha_and_omega/I know very well rottentomatoes isn't absolute and I most often disagree (heck, even Balto has a mixed 45% there!) but still, there's not even a single positive review there... Also the forecasts are very, very bad : 3.4M$ for its opening... http://www.boxofficeprophets.com/column ... lumnpage=2Great; now we know there's not going to be any animation companies trying to do wolves-related films again. Thanks to that movie

OH, and not to mention warnings about snarling wolves. Seriously? That's violent? do us all a favour and go watch Bambi or The Lion King, and THEN you'll see why they're so famous and A&O failed so badly. -_- No wonder movies are so kid-friendly these days.. jeez. >.>

At the time I checked Rotten Tomatoes, Alpha and Omega had 5 positive reviews. Out of 33. When 1.5% of your reviews are positive, you know you fail. Looks like this movie is getting rightfully slammed. Rebelness wrote: One of those rottentomatoes reviews bother me. Warning parents about sexual innuendo kids won't understand, but teenagers will. I wouldn't take anything there seriously.

I'm going to say it now, I never listen to critics, nine times out of ten, movies they slam I love. And the fact they'res things in it that little kids don't understand and adults and teens will just adds another layer to it. Of course they're be some tame sexual references, the two main wolves where relocated by humans for that purpose, not mentioning it would make the humans look like complete jerks. Me and my parents are going to see it today, so what if critics hate it?
The thing is, critics analyze movies, the general audience want to ENJOY movies. Critics sometimes completely miss the point. Case in point, critics biggest gripe with Kung Pow: Enter the Fist was bad dubbing, that was the WHOLE point of the movie! Critics overanalysis is good if you watch movies for that kinda stuff, but when you're just trying to enjoy it, to heck with them, go with your preferences.
Also, the only one whose mentioned Alpha and Omega on this site to actually see it gave it a 9/10, I trust people with simular intrests over critics any day.

To be honest, in my opinion, reviews tell alot about it. xD But its up to a person weather they like it or not, but based on the reviews, my first impression was correct to me.

Yes, I'm also part of the "make your own opinion", as there are lots of films I hated which had wonderful reviews, and the opposite too. But, judging from the trailer and the reviews, I know I'm not going to see it.
I think the concrete box office figures will be interesting to see. This will surely be the first CGI/3D animated film to bomb that much (at least this year), but I believe it will do a bit better than the forecasts.
EDIT : Looks like the budget is 25M$. That's very, very low for a CGI animated film (most are around 150-200M$) so it's no wonder the animation isn't that good. (at the same time, it's not THAT bad either considering the low budget) I don't know if it will make a profit though...

After looking through all the trailers, reviews and opinions from viewers, I have made my decision.
I'm not going to bother with this movie. Instead, I'll see "Inception" while it's still in theaters; a movie that was made by someone who actually has a functional brain.
