Hayumi was excited when he asked her to go hunting, but then he turned around and told her to stay.She looked down and smiled fakley again "yeah, sure." She said, she laid down and covered her body in her wings, getting ready for a long wait.

"No no, I'm sorry. I just meant that as a question." Xinal felt stupid for choosing the wrong words. He sighed to himself, "Let me rephrase that: Will you come hunting with me?"

Hayumi nodded rapidly, her smile brightened as she looked around "I know a great place near my den, it has the largest Elk and they aren't fast runners so its pretty easy." She smiled.

"Sure!" Xinal stepped aside allowing a path for Hayumi to pass, "Lead the way." He felt energized at the thought of hunting; and Elks for that matter. Perhaps he'll hunt down another one just to bring back to the pack.

Hayumi took off her great speed left a smokey cloud of dirt and dust like in the movies.She smiled as she zig-zagged threw the trees, sh epassed the lake and her den, she passed a large rock and stopped."We have to go through a tunnel." She smiled at him, but she soon dissapeered into a hole.As she popped out finnaly she arrived in a lagre meadow, a water fall greeted them with it's soothing noises as birds sang.Her paws clenched the long missed gras that was softer than a Hare's tail.She looked around and spotted Xinal, she smiled as the sun hit her fir perfectly "C'mon, the elk are here!" She said happily, like they were expecting guest for a party.She jogged threw the forest, the trees made her coat invisbale as she made her way threw to a small meadow."There they are." She smiled at him once more before taking off to the front, the elk began to race towards the exit where he was "Follow my lead!" She calle dto him, she leaped onto the largest male's back and bit into his neck."Get one, I got him." She said to him, she normally hunted alone.She tore into the neck as blood seeped threw to the ground.

Xinal followed Hayumi's pawsteps as she raced on. He was a scout and therefore was naturally a swift wolf, but nevertheless he was surprised with the sheer speed she had as she ran on in front of him. He followed with the same pace. His chest rising and paws slamming the ground to pull him forward in a rhythmic pattern, evading trees with a simple step to the side. He slowed down as they approached a large stone formation. Upon closer inspection there was a small hole just big enough to admit a wolf. He looked around. "Hmm... I've never seen this place before and yet we are not too far from the council meeting area."

His attentioned snapped back to the hole where Hayumi had disappeared into. He followed suit and went out into the meadow. The sound of cascading waterfalls hit his ears. The grass beneath his paws were soft to the touch. He spent his time looking at the surroundings that he didn't realize that Hayumi had taken off to take down an Elk on her own. After her suggestion, he himself prowled towards an unsuspecting Elk. By the way it was limping on one leg it looked like it was injured. On his own, he normally took down this sort of prey, unless he was in the mood for some fun. He bade his time crouching in the foliage waiting for the Elk to pass.

Lightning crackled through the air, attracted to a bush near the Elk... but the skies were void of thunderclouds nor rainclouds and it was a clear sky.

Hayumi heard the crackling lightning, she yelped and flattened her ears.She tried to block th ememories as she tensly stood back up, attempting to act brave.Her eyes began to water slighty as a few tear drops ran down her cheek.She tried to hide them from Xinal but she had to quickly turn to get her prey."G-Good catch." She smiled weakly from under her bangs.

The frightened Elk leapt into action and ran away from the sound of the lightning. No more than two steps later Xinal leapt out of his hiding space to land neatly on the Elk. In its weakened state, he was able to force it to the ground and delievery a swift end to its life. He paused as he tried to regain energy. Nearly a third of his energy was spent in spooking the Elk.

"G-Good catch."

"Thanks," Xinal replied turning to look at the other wolf only to see her avoid his gaze. He tipped his head to one side wondering what happened. Then he notivced a slight light reflected off her face. He padded closer to her, his eyes filled with concern. Then he remembered the lightning that sppoked the Elk. Perhaps it did more than that. "I'm sorry. Did I scare you with that one?"

Hayumi smiled sheepishly "No, its not your fault.Its a long story..." he looked down and grabbed her ill and began to walk towards a den where she put the meat.She brushed her fur off from the blood and looked back at Xinal.

He followed her dragging his own kill. He will bring it back to the pack when they returned. Then he recalled that it was more than just the GroundWolves assembled. Perhaps he should hunt for some more. Then he realized he wouldn't be able to bring back anymore. He continued mumbbling to himself.

"Too bad i can't fre-" Xinal stopped in midsentence when he noticed Hayumi looking at him. He glance up to meet her gaze.

Daiku Sighed and though to himself, "We could make the packs htink me and you were together, but, deception isn't the best way to make a treaty." He kept thinking about it, "Any suggestions would be useful. " He said in a playful tone, hoping she'd get it. "So i'm curious, how'd you become alpha anyway?"

Freya looked at him with a sense of disgust at the thought of deception. "No! No deception. That's the last thing we need." She started to try and think of other ideas. Perhaps we could unite it through the other wolves. Allow mates from the other pack. That way...

"How'd you become alpha anyway?"

Her mind froze and her eyes gazed into his. After a few moments she looked away. "I succeeded our last Alpha after he moved on. That alpha was the one who took over GroundWolves after Granger died on the battlefield." She barked matter of factly. Although it was the sufficient info that would suffice, she felt that the rest of her story should be told. She remained silent hoping that it would be enough for Daiku. However, she knew it was a bit futile to believe that for Daiku was one of the more inquisitive types. After a moment she glance to check if Daiku was waiting for a continuation.

Hayumi smiled and blushed weakly before she quickened her pace."I wonder what Freya and Daiku are doing.." She muttered to break the quiet conversation that she playedin her head.
