Wow, thank you so much guys! Really, you have no idea how much of a weight you've all moved off my shoulders with your kinds words of encouragement. I must say, when I first posted this chapter, I was worried that many of you would start baraging me with angry letters...seeing as how I continually end in cliffhangers...and break my promises about there being 'only one more chapter' left, lol.

The dialogue for this had me a little worried as well, I guess, as the exchange between Kirby, Ralph and Nova just didn't seem to click quite as well as the romantic banter between Kodi and Dusty in the previous one. I truly, truly believe that there will be only one last chapter (with a possible epilogue showing what life is like three or four months on down the road after the final installment.)

I'm toying witht the idea of leaving a somewhat lengthy Author's Note at the end, as there is a great deal about how this story got started - and all the things that inspired many of the events that transpire throughout its pages - that you guys don't know about. Also, I just want to try my hand at it, as there are a great many people I need to thank.

On a final note to you all, I was really touched by the number of people who promised to keep me in their prayers. It really meant a lot because God must've answered them, for I was able to run once more this past Saturday. Granted, my time was nowhere near where I would've liked it to have been, but just the fact that I was able to finish is an accomplishment in itself! Thank you all so much and may the Lord bless you twice as much as He has seen fit to bless me!

All in all, thanks once more for all your support, diligence and, most importantly, patience!

The best romantic one I've read and I'm brave enough to say better than the books I've read too! I had to get the off my chest, though some people might think I'm weird for that, this was the first story to get me on the edge of my seat! Be_happy.gif !!!! BaltoLuver63 WRITE ON!!

To all my ever-patient fans,

I'm sorry to say that the next chapter isn't done yet...I've only had enough time as of late to get about a quarter done, if that. School has been a rampaging homicidal maniac weilding an AK-47 for the past few weeks and, much to my dismay, my leg injuries have only intensified rather than lessened - my coach has even gone so far as to insist that I see someone about it, because plain old muscle aches wouldn't last for four weeks straight. Running has become extremely painful as of late...in fact, so has walking at all. In my last race, it was all I could do to simply put one foot in front of the other and keep my legs from giving way. I must confess...I'm more than a bit worried about what the doctor may tell me when I finally do decide to follow orders and report to him for a diagnosis....

Sorry, I don't mean to put you all down with my troubles. Just know that I haven't forgoten about this wonderful little piece of work and I intend to finish it as soon as God grants me the time. Granted, I tried to do some work on it this past weekend...but, after looking at what I had (about three pages worth) and deciding it was a load of crap, I pushed it away and decided to wait till it came to me rather than trying to just get it done and over with by forcing out the last chapter - which wouldn't have pleased any of you, as it would've been very shody work on my part.

About what actually happens...well, I can only say this; in light of the recent sticky article about fanfic content from my good friend and fellow author Lone Wolf_fanwriter, I might end up watering down the climax of the fic a bit...as Kodi, Kavik and a few other key players get quite (understandably) violent and there is/might be a fair amount of what some of us consider to be the less offensive obscenities.

This will have to change - or at the very least, be discussed between Lone Wolf and myself in the near future - seeing as I'd like to keep this a PG-13 oriented fic and will only push only a tad bit beyond that; this fic doesn't need to be rated R. Nor should it be, if there are younger children reading it, as it's already bad enough for them, what with the cursing and all. Neither am I keen to attract fire from those whom would consider such...er...'graphic' materials a breech of fanfic guidelines protocol and would therefore most likely request my removal from this site (something I'm also not keen on doing any time soon as this is the best Balto site I've ever found.)

Anyway, again, just a heads up to assure all those who might be begining to have their doubts; I couldn't stop writing this fic at this point even if I wanted to...it's all I think about during the course of the day (getting it out of my head so I can concentrate on my other literary works and other mundane matters will be somewhat reason enough to get this all worked out, lol.)

Thanks again for all you kind words of encouragement and understanding through all my trails and challenges during the course of writing this fic.

I agree with SimbasGuard: Have it checked out asap.

On your fic, I'm sure you wouldn't do anything to breech the boundary of good taste (or whatever you called it). The only concern is that you have a warning, and I know you will. In that case, I believe that anyone who flames you just plain out ignored the warning or is a hypocrit for critisizing what they shoudn't have read in the first place.
Let me know if you have any doubt in your fic, and I'll be glad to pre-read it or discuss it with you.

Godspeed and write on!

Dear beloved readers,

I really can't say how sorry I am that I've kept you all waiting for so long. I feel so guilty... cry.gif

Sorry about the super long delay in Conclusion goodness but sadly, life's become more demanding - as I'm sure you can all attest to. Cross Country is finally over - we took 1st place at Sectionals for the first time in something like four years - and got 4th at Regionals...which sorta sucked, seeing as we were hoping to win. We made it to Semi-State though and finished 16th out of 20 teams, which is actually not to shabby.

Running aside, I've been going through some rough times as it is. My kidneys were acting up for a while and I feared I had stones - seeing as I don't drink enough water - but they've calmed down again for the time being, though for how long I'm not sure. My legs have also been bothering me, though they're not nearly as bad as they were the last time I wrote you all, so there's that to be thankfull for at least.

I've also recently been baptized into my church which was an incredible high for me! Go Jesus! Love.gif lol. Love the Lord with all your hear! As a result, I've become even more involved with my church - sorry guys but I put God before all else. I'm sure you understand.

I must say he was certainly looking out for my best interests when He moved me into such a strong relationship with Him, as my Mom was recently involved in a car accident, and He really helped pull me out of a deep hole. She went to pull out at an intersection and got broadsided by a truck, causing her to crash head-on into a telephone pole. Now, just to allay your fears, all's well; though the car got totally trashed, my Mom suffered only a few bumbs and bruises and is now totally fine. But, needless to say, this didn't really help with my stress levels when I was first informed of said incident, as I'm sure you can imagine.

On top of all this, I was recently nominated to go overseas with a group of 40 kids like me from central Indiana to serve as representatives of the good ol' U.S. of A. over in Europe on a 20 day trip this summer. I was just interviewed this past sunday and I only found out a few hours ago that I was accepted! Now I have to raise somewhere around...um...what is it again...in the neighborhood of 3,000 dollars! More work for me! Yay...wait, isn't that a bad thing? lol. I've got to start job hunting....yuck.

All work aside, this last chapter is proving to be EXTREMELY hard to write (yes, I put that in all caps just so you'll realize just how difficult it is not knowing how to make what's going on in my head look right once it's been written down.) I must've written and rewritten the first two pages at least three times by now - and I haven't even started on the rest of it! However, rest assured; I AIN'T DEAD YET! (to quote that invaluable source Mr. Richard Pryor, God rest his soul.) I've put too much god-forsaken effort into this piece to just see it all fall apart at the last minute! It will be written, very soon, I promise!

I know I sound like a thrice broken record, and you've no obligation to do what I ask, but still I must ask nonetheless; please stick with me for just a little longer! I've come so far and I really want to give you all this last installment, I really truly do, honest-to-God from the bottom of my heart, but I just need a little more time! I'll try to clear some space in my schedule real soon and then I'll crack down on this bad boy like a steel beartrap!

Thank you so much for all your support, kind words of encouragement, and most of all, for believing in me for all this time,
BaltoLuver63

Hey, no problem at all, man. I've been in your place. (Writing wise, at least.)
Just keep writing! All is well.
Congrats on the completion of your cross country season. (I've recently finished my marching band season with the highest rating, 'superior,' at States. Yay band.)
Now that that's over, I beseit you: "Relax!"
Take a break from running if at all possible, give your kidney and your legs a chance to recover. Time is the best medicine in many cases.
And on your baptism... Rock on, man! 'Go Jesus' as you say!
And congrats on your nomination! (I also have to go job-hunting soon, but for monetary gain and independence... Oh well.)
And I know how the writer's block thing works, too, believe me!
I've been out for a while, too, and only recently sent in 'Balto-Independence Day.' (If you could give it a read, I'd much appreciate it, though I know time is demanding and uncompromising sometimes.)
Just keep writing. Little by little if necessary.

Write on, and God bless you.
Your fellow writer,
-LWf

It seems my time has been more put toward reading fan fictions than acctually getting a move on on my own. I can only imagine how much the people that acctually like my writings hate me. ;) They'll get over it. (Kidding, im working on it!)
I finally managed to catch up and finish your newer chapters here. As i can safely say, you may take awhile to get them done but when you do, you never dissapoint us!

So your team took 4th? That's wierd, Our team took 4th at regionals too. Im not too sure what the acctual score was but i do know the fastest runner on our team took 1st. He won by 12 seconds. We qualified for state so we still have this week of practice then we're going to that on saturday. The whole team goes but only the Top 5 or 10 runners acctually run the race.
