Jarret nodded. "Same about my owner." he said. "I just pray she'll be alright till we meet again."
The pup cuddled into her fur, warming up. He was very young, too young to be alone like he was.

Kitta smiled, and nuzzled the top of the pup's head. She curled up about his golden little body.
Morgan hated to admit it, but she was worried, she had been given to her Mistress after her baby died...She had taken the place of a human infant. The dalmatian shuddered visibly.

The pup finally woke up. He looked around, scared. "W-wh-where am I?" he stuttered, terrified. "W-wh-where's my momma?" he asked, whimpering.
"What's wrong?" asked Jarret to Morgan.

Kitta picked her head up slowly, looking down at the little pup. "Hush now, hush. It's okay...The boat your Momma was on...it's gone, sweetie. A friend of mine saved you." she said in a gentle voice, saying it hesitantly. Tear glittered in her eyes, hating to think of the pup's fear. "What's your name?" she asked, trying to lighten the tragedy. That however, could take a while.
Morgan looked up suddenly, staring a Jarret for a minute. Getting her thoughts together she closed her eyes. "Nothing. Felt a little chilled, that's all."
Carmen looked at her, pursing her mouth. She looked intently at Morgan. "....You're a bad liar."

The pup started crying hard. He calmed down enough to speak. "M-my n-na-name i-is L-Luke." he said, sad.
"Do you want ot tell us?" asked Jarret.

"Well, Luke," Kitta started, gently nuzzling the tears away, so they wouldn't mat his fur. "I'm Kitta, and you're on an island...I don't know much, but I know your Momma would want you to be safe, and you are...or do you not feel safe?" she tilted her head, her tail gently thumping against the ground as she looked at the little pup.
Morgan sighed, looking down. "It's my owner; I was given to her after her baby died...I took that kid's place. If anything happens to her because she's worried...." she stopped, her muscles tightening.

Luke whimpered. "No..." he said. "I'm lost and my parents are gone." he explained still depressed. "My papa died when I was littler than I was now...my momma was the only thing I had left."
"Don't worry, I'm sure we'll get home...hopefully whoever is sent after that plane will be able to kill Bloodtide as well." said Tracy.

"Me? Worried?" Morgan asked, putting on a false air of confidence. "We're definitely getting home."
Kitta nodded. "I completely understand...I haven't seen my Momma since I was three." she said, and it was true; Kitta's mother had been mostly coyote, and tended to roam far...in any case, she was probably dead by now. "For now though...Try to sleep. There's not much use in staying upset and tired, is there?" she smiled slightly, trying to lighten things up, if even by a small amount.

Kitta nodded. "Yes, little sir. From your own looks, you're part golden aren't you?" she nuzzled the tip of Luke's flopped down ear with her cold nose, still smiling wide.
Morgan nodded, laying her head down on her paws, slowly closing her eyes.
Carmen followed suit, curling up slowly and looking about. "It's the only thing was can do right now..."

Luke giggled. He cuddled closer for warmth. "Thanks for taking me in and your friend for saving me." he said. "Who is your friend?" he asked. "I hit my head and got knocked out when something big hit the boat." he said, rubbing the small lump on his head.

Kitta gently nosed at the bump, looking surprised. "That's quite a nasty bump!" she said, looking down at Luke with a grin. "Never mind that now, just know that she swam out and was able to carry you back." she pawed at the silver cross that hung about her neck. Thank God For That.
