Katie watched with wide eyes as James stormed off and slammed his door. "I guess that two of you don't get along?" she asked Dev.

Josh just grinned and gave out a slight laugh as he turned back to his captain. "Don't you see?" he finally replied, motioning towards the other ship. "This is the oppertunity we've been waiting for! These guys want action, so we have no choice but to give them action, right? ...I mean, come on, Violet! Seriously!!!"

"Aye, aye, mon capitan!" he replied with a smile and a friendly wink. "I'll be sure to remember that." He then sighed heavily and before turning back to the others. "You heard the lady, men! Let's move it!!! Let's go, go, go!!!!!"

Dev made a 'pfft' sounding noise with his mouth and waved his hand abscentmindedly through the air. "Naw...we get along just fine!" Dev said, trying to sound convincing but a sarcastic smile played across his tan face. "He just gets frustrated at me sometimes...me being his supposedly 'annoying little brother' and all..." Dev said, grinning at Katie. "So whats up with you and my brother anyway..." Dev asked, trying hard not to sound dissapointed.

"Yeah, I know the feeling," Katie said with a small smile. "I have a little brother too. Peter." She took a deep calming breath, trying hard not to cry again. She leaned against the border of the ship and slide down into a sitting position with a sigh. "I hope he's alright." She looked up at Dev when he asked about her and James. "What are you talking about?" she said quickly. "There is absolutely nothing going on between us."

Dev pretended not to hear what she said about James, instead he looked down at her, feeling sorry that he made her think of her brother. "I'm sorry..." Dev said somewhat awkwardly. The weird thing for Dev was that he never apologized for anything, ever. James was a witness to this.

"Do you need a hug?" Dev asked, extending his arms and flashing her a cheesy grin. He was just trying to make her feel better.

Kaite sighed and blew a stand of hair away from her face. She had been pushing all means of comfort away lately. Maybe she did need a hug... "Sure," she said, extending her arms out from her place on the ground, unable to reach Dev.

Dev gently grabbed one of her outstretched hand and helped her up. He looked down at her for a couple seconds, smiling, then wrapped his arms around her shoulders while her hands hung limply at her sides. He hoped that she would hug him back but that was totally up to her. He was sick and tierd of being alone.

Kaite pulled her arms around his waist hesitantly. But soon she hugged herself closer to him than even she expected. Dev had been right. She had really needed a hug.

Dev smiled and tightened his grip around her slender shoulders. "See? All you needed was a hug right?" Dev whispered, almost as if reading her mind. He closed his eyes momentarily and breathed in her scent, not wanting to let go and not caring if anybody saw them, not even James. "Hey..." Dev whispered, still hugging her. "Random question, how old are you?" he asked.

Katie cocked an eyebrow, though Dev couldn't see because she was still burried into his chest. "Nineteen," she said hesitantly. "Why?"
