"I understand there are jagged rocks. Do you think if we get down there, we can cross them?" Mike was trying his hardest to stay calm, but the weather was getting to him, plus he kept seeing the wolverines prowling the woods, which was making him edgy.

As if answering Feather's question, Helga came out of the woods, holding several young saplings.
"Good to see you up and about, Feather." She said with a smile on her foxy face. "Now we must take long srips of these and make ropes like I did here."
Helga showed Feather the ropes she had made to rescue her.

"This is good. I knew we'd find a way to cross it...Would you two please help me make these ropes?"
Mike grabbed a sapling and began working.

Mike gave har a smile. He was beginning to really like Jamie.
The three friends worked until they had a decent sized rope, easily reaching the bottom of the Abyss.
Helga tied one end to a large tree.
"So, who wants to go first?"

She sighed, " I will go scope the trail out, and if I'm not back in about five minutes, give me a howl Mike." She said and went down to the bottom and came back and yelled up and said, " It's safe! I found an opening to where we can end our cross to. So, we will be safe. Let me guide you." She said.

When they were down there, she then guided them safely through the abyss and she stopped and said, " Hey, we can take a break for five minutes, then we have to continue." She said and layed down for a rest.

Helga nodded and lay down as well. She was tired from searching for all the saplings.
Mike set off exploring a small ways away from where they were camped. Suddenly he heard a loud rushing and soon discovered it to be a rapid flowing river. It was white water in spots, broken up by submerged rock.
He ran back to the others.
"Hey, theres a large, rapid river over that way. Looks like we need to cross it."
