You should have had a 'middleman' option for the poll.

I voted "I loved it" because i don't necessarily love or hate it but i do lean more on the side of liking it.

Twilight itself is not that bad. It has some unique elements that other vampire and werewolf series [book and movie wise] don't have or care to have. It's far from traditional when it comes to the genre and it has an interesting story.
Now the fans on the other hand have raped and over-killed the series for all it's worth. Two years ago all the werewolf and vampire fans were enjoying their classics like 'Ginger Snaps', 'Silver Bullet', 'The Howling', 'Interview With A Vampire', even "Buffy' and so on and so forth until the news that a book called "Twilight" was going to be made into a movie and somehow it became a commodity. It was alright at first, even good because people who hated or were afraid of the Werewolf/Vampire genre actually started to like it.

Everything was dandy and under control, that is until the 'dedicated fans' started to appear. These fans are the ones that obsess over 'the next big thing' and move on when it's over. It happened to Harry Potter and by god it happened to Twilight. I don't think there is any other fan base that is as rapid and screwed up than this one. If you do some research on how much chaos has erupted because of twilight then you will be shocked. Death threats, beatings, cursing, fighting, hate, and abuse just because you have a different opinion about something that someone else likes. I'm not kidding you. A girl was almost choked to death because she expressed her opinion on why she hated twilight to another girl who was a 'true fan'. I think Stephenie Meyer should be ashamed of what her 'true fans' are doing. I'm not saying all fans are like this but some go to the extreme. Wishing death on a person because they don't like something you do is just insane. This is reality and Twilight is a book. At least when twilight ends those 'true fans' will get bored and move on to something else.

Anyway my overall opinion is this: I am a fan of the Werewolf/Vampire genre and 'Twilight' is one of the small, new branches in this old genre. It adds something but by no means represents what the Vampire/Werewolf genre is about. Personally, I don't see what the fuss is about. You want a good movie about werewolves and vampires, then go watch 'Ginger Snaps', 'Buffy', or 'Interview with a vampire'. If you prefer books then there are plenty out there. My personal favorites are: 'The Mercy Thompson series', "The Mortal Instruments series', 'Wolf Moon', and 'Blood and Chocolate'.

Oh my.... that's just insane. Almost CHOKED to DEATH?! This is why when they move to something else, it's going to get worse.

Same here, but I just like the books for the reson that they are books. But I hate the movies. The best thing about the movies? The grapics. The worst? Too many things to count.

The graphics? Those effects were some of the worst I've seen this decade.

I never said the graphics were good. I said that the best the movie offered was graphics. Everything else was..... ugh.

That's just petty. Wanting someone to die because they don't like something? That's sad.

I don't care for it. Never have, never will, and I'm pretty certain the people in Forks, WA are ready for it to all go away. Heck, one person already tried to burn down one of the signs that was used in the movie.

I like the books ok, Mainly the quotable stuff, but I didn't much care about it. Don't care for vampires, love werewolves but these were kind of...whuuuuut?

But when the movie came out, I hated it. Specifically, Robert Patterson. Gaspard = 1000x better Edward. But I'm glad he's not in it; because then I wouldn't have to be beating off other fangirls. >_> If I had to choose a favorite character, forget Edward, Jasper.

But. :| I'll use a Henry face (long inside joke) that sums everything up. XD;

If you love Weres more than Vamps, wait until New Moon. I hate the Twilight series myself, but I'm a die hard werewolf fan. New Moon is supposed to have like 10 minutes of Edward, then it's Jacob and wolves all the way! :)
Jacob looks way better in the second movie too ^^
...at least I think it was him in that comercial...ah, well...

My friends told me I have to get a twilight shirt and a new moon shirt for days they made up. New Moon Monday and Twilight Tuesday. *Rolls eyes* I don't even really like twilight. . . I even read alittle bit and hated it.
