"Then I must split the world in two to keep the races apart." said Monolith, competely serious. "Divid the Earth in two with a wall of earth beyound anyones ability to cross, one half for your race, the other for the creatures." he said. "But as you can assume, this has its problem as well, the balance won't be fully restored and the Earth may become a powder keg, ready to explode into war at any moment." he said. "I'd prefer a agreed peace weather than a forced one as an agreed peace will last."

Rose nodded. "I hope that we don't ever have to do something so extreme," she said.

May shuddered. "Soemthign that extreme would be so weird," she murmured to herself.
"Have you really lost all hope?" Jackson whispered. "Look, tehy'll never stop. If we don't do something, we'll all be killed. They'll find a way to track us down and murder us. It isn't too late. It's never too late unless we wait until they're even stronger."

Monolith nodded. "But the one that created this world commanded me to do that if I am unable to bring about peace." he said. "For as extreme as it is, it is better than all life being wiped from the planet." he said. "But I will try with all my strength for a peaceful solution."

Rose nodded to Monolithe before turning to Jacob. "So how far away is Sleepy Hallow anyway?" she asked him.
Lily sighed. "I just don't see the point anymore," she said. "Sooner or later, they're gonna overcome us and we'll all die anyway."

"And how would you rather die?" Jackson asked softly. "I'd rather be on my feet, trying to get back my freedom."

"Its a good bit away." said Jacob. "We'll be stopping at my safe house to get supplies." he said. "And all of you some weapons." he said. "Except Monolith, he is a weapon."

"What kind of weapons are we getting, exactly?" Rose asked, a little cautious about having something deadly in her hands.

Jacob took out the gun he'd carried with him. "Your avarage Smuggler Rifles. They shoot spikes that can go deep into a golem then explodes, useful for breaking them apart but has a problem with recoil."

"Oh," was all ROse could get out as she stared at the gun nervously. She swallowed at the worry in her throat. "And you expect me to use on of those?" she asked skeptically.

"I'm sure I can find something easier to handle." said Jacob. "I've got a granade launcher that might be your size." he said. "Or a Rocket Loaded Revolver, or RLR for short, small but packs a big impact."

Rose blinked at him. "And you expect me to actually hit a target?" She laughed mockingly. "I wasn't cut out for this time of things. I've never handled anything more dangerous than a butter knife!"

Travis laughed and walked to her. "Look, you'll find strength in odd ways but I thinky ou can do it. You're stronger than you think. Also, my teeth might be of service." He flashed a smiile at her, trying ot remind her and Jacob he was a vampire and a weapon himself.
Jackson sighed. "All right. Rose, I'll make a deal wiht you. If we find a group of rebels, will you at least ocnsider joinign them?"
