She looked at Ringo. She didn't know were anything was! She was new here. "I guess we should head over to the den then..." She hoped it wouldn't be that far away. Being that Zero only had three paws to travel on. She looked into Ringo's eyes, they were serious but yet she could smell the fear coming off of him. She knew that Ringo still cared alot about Zero. And for some odd reason that strangely disapointed her.

Ringo noded his head. "Alright then, lets get there before dark..." He continued to walk along, taking heavey steps while supporting Zero. His tail swished behind him as he noticed Shy looking very distant, almost disappointed. He stopped and gazed at her. "Is everything alright Shy?" he asked, but deep within the recesses of his mind he knew exactly why she looked so disapointed. He shifted uncomfortably as Zero's weight was begining to tire him out.

Her head snapped up as she heard Ringo's question. "what? oh yeah.. um.. yeah I'm fine..." She stared at the ground as they walked. She didn't want to show her emotion so she looked in the opposit direction of Ringo. But then she realized that they would be coming to the den were the other members of the pack would be. Would they accept her?

Zero gently lifted her injured paw away from Ringo so he wouldn't have to support her anymore. "I'm fine..." she whispered and hobbled ahead of the two. Her head was bent awkwardly and her ears were pinned flat against her skull. Her orange eyes drooped as she gazed down at the ground she was placing her paws on. She sighed and whinced when a blast of pain shot through her paw but she tried to ignore it. She switched sides so she was on the left side of Ringo and only her black fur was showing so maybe he wouldn't see the dissapoinment in her face.

Shy looked at the forest ahead. Then she thought of something to talk about. "My father told me of how strange wolves that would eat other wolves lived in this valley. But then the they were driven out." She looked at Ringo, "did you ever hear that story?" She didn't know if the legend was true or not. She wasn't even sure if he had heard of it.

Ringo's back stiffened. He continued to stare straigh ahead, not answering Shy. "No." he said curtly. "No, I've never heard that before." he said again seriously,then turned Shy with a sly look on his face. "Enlighten me." he said sarcsticaly, drooping his eyes in a flirtatious way. He was curious as to what Shy already knew about his kind...even though he was technically a bloodsucker, and would never commit the Unforgivable Act: draining the blood out of another wolf. Still he perked his ears forward and listened to Shy intently. Almost too intently.

Zero's eyes widened and she stiffend for a moment. When she heard Ringo's casual reply she breathed again. Nice Ringo... she thougth sarcastically and momentarily forgot about her broken paw. She laid it on the ground as if it was never hurt and yelped, she fell to the ground and rolled slightly, rolling directly into a bush, a thorny one too. She groaned and managed to pick herself up. She staggered again but caught herself. Of course, no one will care! she thought drearily and shook her pelt, but some of the thorns still stuck in her tricolored fur. Her eyelids drooped as she stood off alone for a couple seconds. She was beginning to drown in her thoughts when she quickly shook her head and continued walking. I really should just leave a forget all about Ringo! she boldly thought, but those rebelious thoughts quickly drained away when she relized that she would just be giving Ringo to Shy without a fight. But whats the point in liking someone if they don't like you back?

She didn't reply until Zero was up and walking again. "Well, my father said that there was a pack in this valley that ate the wolves from neighboring packs and lone wolves as well. My father's pack ignored them only until they started preying on his family. Then with the help from a few other packs that were preyed upon, they managed to kill off the savage beasts. My father told me this happened when he was just a pup, but I dought it ever happened." She looked at Ringo and then smirked. She liked telling stories.

Ringo looked worridly at Zero, who was having more trouble walking than he thought she would. "That's an interesting story Shy..." he said, walking over to pull out one last thorn out of Zero's fur and spit it into a nearby bush, "but realistically, what kind of idiodic fairy tale is a-a... 'vampirewolf'?" he asked, rolling his red eyes, turning his full atention back to Shy. "And besides..." he said, slowly walking up to her, "if it was true, wouldn't they have already picked you off, Little Miss Lone-Wolf?" he asked in a soft, playfull voice, smiling slightly.

Zero gasped when Ringo suddenly plucked out the thorn. She turned her head to see that it was just Ringo, she hobbled slightly, accidently placing her injured paw on the ground again. She didn't yelp this time but she did colapse. She snarled at herself and glared at Shy "yeah," she sneered "whats a vampirewolf and how come if you think they are real why havent they eaten you yet?" she tilited her head to the side. Her bright and allert orange eyes full of curiousity. She scowled again and glanced up at Ringo "you guys go ahead back to camp I-I'll catch up later..." she stuttered.

Ringo snickered. "And leave you here?" he asked sarcastically. "Zero, sometimes you just don't make any sense at all..." he said shaking his head. "You can barely walk as it is. And besides," he said, suddenly raising his blood-red eyes to Shy, "If we leave you out here the vicious vampirewolves will come get you." he smiled slyly at Shy and drooped his eyelids suggestivly before turning back to Zero. "So what, you walking or am I carrying you again?" he said raising an eyebrow playfully though he was actually deadly serious.

Zero rolled her eyes at Ringo "you know i'll be fine!" she insisted "i'll just sleep out here, then slowly walk back in the morning! I don't wanna slow you guys down." She raised her head when he mentioned the vampirewolves, then rolled her eyes "you know I could take 'em! Even with a busted paw..." She raised her head even higher and sat up. "NO!" she yelled when he mentioned carrying her. "I'll be fine I promise!" she insisted, even though she just wanted Shy to leave, Ringo could stay though! "I'm as helpless as a newborn pup as it is..." she muttered to herself, obviously embarassed about her accidental injury. "I hate myself," she muttered quietly.

Ringo sat down and stared intently at Zero. "We aren't in a rush Zero...you know our pack never leaves any wolf behind." he snickered as he added, "No matter how stubborn and annoying they may be." He smiled at Zero and layed down a few feet back, resting his head on his paw. "Now if you insist on sleeping out here, that's fine." he narrowed his eyes, as if challenging her in a battle of wills. "I have aaaaall day." he smirked slyly.

"Then hunker down buddy-boy! 'cuz if you have no intention of leaving me, I suggest you sit back and wait, cuz i'm not going anywhere!" she said firmly and pulled off one of her rare smiles. She lay down and examined her paw, nudging it every once in a while. She glanced up at Ringo and then said "are you really not going to leave?" she tilted her head to the side slightly for emphisis.

Ringo laughed and stood up. "Course not! Really, I have better things to do than stay out here in the cold with a stubborn wolf like you." he said, smiling widly. He turned his head to Shy. "Besides," he said, "I have a lady friend to 'entretain'..." he flirtatiously said, walking over to Shy. He glanced at Zero out of the corner of his eye. "If you want to suck it up, we'll be back at the den asleep." he said with a sly grin on his face.He leaned in and licked Shy on the cheek before turning back to Zero, narrowing his eyes. "Night." he said in a sing-songy voice, turning around, knowing Shy would follow. Both Zero and Ringo knew who had won.
