Saber was in a freenzy'd rage and instead of attacking Jackson, was trampling him. She stepped on his front leg, his stomach, his groin, and his tail, all with most of her wieght. She kept roaring in fury.

Jackson groaned and yelped in pain. He knew that he had several broken bones now, and the few bruises he had were the least of his problems. He tried to get up, but everytime the cat trambled him again. Finally, he just laid there, unmoving, giving up.

Saber, in her rage, got off Jackson, not even knowing she'd knocked him off in the first place. She charged and slammed Nichel into a tree, managing to get her off. She wanted to do something with this one. She grabbed Nickel and ran off into the woods with her, her plan was that she'd force Nickel later to watch the big cat tear another member of the pack to pieces.

Nickel managed ot yell to Jackson. "Go!" she called. "Go back! Don't fight her, Jackson! You'll get hurt!" I couldn't stand it if you died, Jackson..... she thought. I love you....
spirit raced through the trees and saw JAckson. "what happened? Where's Nickel?"

Saber reached her own lair and through Nickel hard into the wall were she landed on a pile of mangled wolf bones. Saber sniffed Nickel over, when done she sent out a puff of incredably awful breath stinking of rotton flesh into Nickel's face. "Well my dear, you should be happy, you're the first wolf to ever enter my lair alive." she said, the wolves wouldn't know she could talk.

Nickel stared . "You-you talk?" she whispered. She didn't feel lucky at all. Just scared. She was scared for her life a little bit but she was worried about JAckson.

Saber chuclked. "My dear, I'm a lot more intellagent than you mutts could ever imagin." she said. "I will let you choose how long you stay alive, simply stay in my cave and eat what is brought to you or else..." she took a wolf skull and crushed it to pieces with one bite. "I might have a she wolf snack." she said. "I'll pity you and bring you a deer instead of my normal prey." she said. "Oh and the reason I've decided for you to live is I've grown quite fond of you wolves howls, once I've killed all the wolves, I fear I will miss it." she said. "So please howl for me, and don't bother getting your hopes up for a rescue, the way this cave is built, sound won't echo out and well I will show you." she said and lifted Nickel by her scruf and took her to the ledge outside the cave, below was a near straight drop for several hundrid feet, only a few rocks hung, Saber was the only one that could navagate them safely.

"Why? Excellent question." said Saber. "Simple awnser, something my size needs a lot of food, there is simply not enough prey to sastain myself and the wolves in the same area and this valley has the most prey in the area." she said. "If I tried to live in peace with the wolf pack, the food would end up being wiped out fairly quickly as we'd kill the prey faster than it can reproduce, thus having too outcomes, ether the wolves have to find a new land, which would likely put them in conflict with other packs, or they die a slow and painful death of starvation and maybe canablizum." she said. "So its survival of the fitest my dear, nothing purrrrsonal."

"Spirit!" Jackson was never more excied to see his friend. "You have to hurry. It-it took Nickel. You have to safe her, you have to." Tears were leeking from his eyes.
Sadie hurried to Spirit's side in time to hear Jackson's story.

Jackson looked himself over. He was in no condition to travel any distance. "I'll go back and check on Luke." He began limping off.
"I'll come," Sadie said quickly. "Jackson, don't tell Luke what happened. I don't want him to worry."
