You know, the funny thing about Twilight haters is that, half the time, they haven't even READ the ***** books. They just look at the concept and instantly decide they don't like it, or look at the crazed demented fans, and decide they don't like it. It's quite sad, really. "Oh god, sparkling vampires? How gay. I'm not going to read this, ew." Or they're guys, and say "It was obviously written just for girls, so I'm not interested."
I think this is hardly a good reason to put anyone off. If it's not your thing, fair enough. But ... why the hell do you have to go HATING something you haven't even READ? "I've not read Twilight, and I don't ever plan to! It sounds awful! The fangirls are sooooo annoying!!!11" - How the hell do you know if you haven't read it? Are you REALLY that close-minded? FFS.
And here's a note to both haters AND fans. WHY must you hate/stop enjoying something JUST because it's popular? I still love the saga, in spite of the annoying fans. Hell, I read and loved the books before I'd even heard of them, or had any idea how popular they were! My first thought after finishing the first book was: "The whole world needs to know about this book." I got online ... and found out it already did. Some of my friends had read it too, and they loved it. My boyfriend loves it (I got him into it before we were together), and we love watching the films together - both at the cinema and on DVD. And to clarify, he's a guy, 100% straight. Shocked? Well, screw you.
By the way, I'm not pointing this at anyone in particular. if you hate the book, that's fine. Heck, even I enjoy poking fun at it. Especially at Jacob; cuz he's an a**. But for god's sake, stop bashing people who love it and giving them reasons why they SHOULDN'T. I'm not saying you NEED to like it, so...
And you know what's REALLY sad? How Twilight haters used to be like "I hate Twilight ... don't kill me." Well, it's not the other way around. Twilight lovers are now afraid to say they love it. But I'm not. I simply say, "I love Twilight. Deal with it."
And that's my two cents. Please note: this is based on experience, not opinion. Bravo! I'm gonna start lookin up to you now xD Same thing here. I love the series, but all the fans who are simply obsessed and all the haters have made it very hard to say that. But I'm gonna just come out with it. I love Twilight, no one can change that. But even though I love it, I'm not obsessed and I don't have my whole room filled to the brim with Twilight stuff (covers, pillows, cutouts, etc.) like a lot of fans too. And another thing, haters always judge someone if they like Twilight. Even if you remotely like it just a little, they'll assume you talk about it 24/7. It kinda sucks that people woul judge like that, but whatever. I don't talk about it 24/7 and I never will. And those who want to avoid me because of Twilight well screw them. you two could be my sisters xD I liked the Twilight saga before it was popular, a friend of mine had the book and told me that it was interesting so I borrowed it from her and after I've read it I like it! Some months after the Twilight mania exploded but I wasn't "contamined" by that, I discovered the books, before the popularity Boom, I really hate and hate people that judge something just because their best friend don't like it, thatsince the haters are a lot, they decided to stay with them, jeez, make up your own opinion! read the book! What are you going to say now? "OMG SASKE LIKES TWILIGHT NO WAAAY!!!1111 UR A LOOSER NOW!" well, I don't care...I don't even like the couple Bella and Edward xD I loved since the very first time Jasper and Alice, they're my favourite and I have to say that the best part in the book for me is in Eclipse, when Jasper tells to Bella his story, it's very well done. So, the losers are people that decided to copy other's opinions, they hate Twilight? I do it too! -.-

Quote: And here's a note to both haters AND fans. WHY must you hate/stop enjoying something JUST because it's popular? Chiibi never follows the crowd. She likes what she likes and hates what she hates. I was one of the VERY few fans who was still able to like Inuyasha after it got ridiculously overpopulated with ridiculous fans. That is strength. XD I am not fond of Twilight because I don't really like to read a book in which the male love interest is described as "beautiful and god-like" every three paragraphs..... MARY-SUE MUCH? It's worse than fanfiction!! Quote: You know, the funny thing about Twilight haters is that, half the time, they haven't even READ the ***** books. They just look at the concept and instantly decide they don't like it, or look at the crazed demented fans, and decide they don't like it. I read the first chapter of New Moon on Meyer's website and while I agree that she's good at descriptive writing (being able to picture it in your mind as you read), I very much had the urge to bash my head against the wall from the sheer stupidity of the rest of it. Aside from the Edward-worshipping (definitely the most stupid part) this woman does not research. You cannot get a papercut from wrapping paper. You cannot. It's too soft to cut your skin!!

I'm sort of a hater/fan of the Twilight series. LOVED the first book. The others are good too,. But the thing that bugs me are the fans, somewhat. It's like, you can't go 5 seconds with "Ahh! Twilight!" in my school. And then people are like, "Oh, I thought you liked wolves, why are you team Edwards?!" and stuff. I don't care about the people's look n' such, I haven't seen the movies. Biased, but whatever/ I read the books. I like the series, but the fans kinda overkill it.

There's no way it can cut you deep enough to even bleed a tiny bit.

I find Twilight really disturbing in what it considers "Romantic" -Edward had been going into Bella's room to watch her sleep, for several weeks, and wanted to drink her blood. She liked this, that's very wrong. If someone had been breaking into a normal person's house multiple times, and admited they wanted to basically murder them, they would normally call the police or at least file for a restraining order; not find it romantic. -Jacob imprinting on the newborn daughter of Bella and Edward, it doesn't matter if she has the mind of an adult, that's still pedophillia. And it's not even a love thing, he imprinted on her because she was summed up to be best to carry his children. -Though the Cullens don't drink human blood, the vampires they gathered to combat the Volturi do, so they lend them their cars to basically go around Washington state and murder people, and everyone is okay with this. -The Spoony One summed up what is pretty much wrong with the relationship between Bella and Edward with this: Quote: You should never have to beg for love, and if you do, it ain’t love

I'm not madly in love with Edward or Jacob (EW), I like the plot and the writing style, and the unique concepts. I like how she's re-done vampires a little to fit the stories better too. The typical blood-thirsty garlic-hating coffin inhabitants were just getting old, and I couldn't take them seriously. I especially like their supernatural powers too, those were cool. :3
