Take off that "reign" coat, cat. You're dripping sarcasm on the carpet.

She was trying to be sarcastic. And she's right. You people are hating Steele for being a villain, which is the reason he was put in the film. Honestly, we have no idea if he's been like that all his life, do we? He might have a good reason to be so 'evil'. I actually love him because of his evilness.

And him and Jenna look great together. No seriously. If they got together and spent a night alone in the boiler room (nudge nudge, wink wink) then Jenna would produce some awesome and sexy lookin' offspring, as we've seen from some of the previous examples of possible offspring.

But, it's still a what if question. Sure, it's nice to see something different in the Balto universe, but it's kinda obvious in the film that Jenna had no interest in him. While he was pervin' on her when they were walking together, she was clearly annoyed at his efforts. And direct quote: "I'm afraid the only was Steele notices anyone is if they're wearing a mirror". And her attraction to Balto is pretty d*mn obvious...so I don't think Steele'd really have a chance. It's clear Jenna's commited to Balto

But Steele & Jenna would still make pretty babies. And if Jenna ended up with Steele...THERE WOULD'VE BEEN NO SEQUEL.

I know she was trying to be sarcastic. As for you, that boiler room remark was pushing it. Remember, this is a kids' site. As for those offspring cat drew, I doubt the facial markings she contrived would occur without some sort of mutation (and I have studied genetics, so I do have some knowledge of what I'm talking about).
The whole concept discards everything Jenna isbeyond her pretty face, and let's face it. One of the worst problems in society today is that people try to do that with just about every woman and girl.

Dude, you're taking this way too seriously  Every time a person says they like Steele (not even Jenna and Steele) you have to question why they like them and then give a whole bunch of reasons why not to like him just so they agree with you. You're not the almighty protector of pretty dog characters. Besides, you're about 6 years too late for that, so there's no harm in liking Steele and Jenna together. Much less liking Steele as a character.

Alright, let's be clear about something. I think Steele was an excellent character, as a villain (I even based a character in my own stories on him, personality-wise). But let's face it, the Steele in nine out of ten of the JennaxSteele fanfics is no more the Steele from the movie than I am. The same is true of the "Jenna" depicted in ten out of ten of those same stories.
As for my habit of debating the matter, I'll be the first to agree that I often take arguments too seriously or too far. But if I remember correctly, you were voicing the same complaints very recently about the changes made to Carface when All Dogs Go to Heaven 2 came out.

That's because he went from an evil money-grubbing mobster to a comic-relief lacky of a kiddie cliche version of the devil's pet. (Take note that I'm complaining about official things rather than fanfics, etc.) I've yet to see an excuse from you. You say you know you take things too seriously, how about DON'T take things so seriously, for a change. You're a killjoy.

EDIT: Besides, you've shown your fair share of writing Steele OOC, so don't go around whining about people making Jenna OOC just because she's a "good guy".

I depict Steele as ruthless, revenge-bent (emphasis on bent), and, in terms of his overall frame of mind, a mad-dog. Is there something I missed? Regarding Jenna, you of all people should respect a desire to maintain a respectful and dignified view of women, since you are one yourself!
As for Carface, as I pointed out before, in his case it's a question of comparison. Allow me to give a visual metaphor. In one of my art books, it says that if you want to make omething look big (such as a dinosaur) you show it standing next to a tree or even towering high above the tree. To make it look smaller, you have the tree towering over it. The same principle applies with Carface, but on a different level. In the first movie he was a gang leader who was only really shown "next to" Killer in terms of villainly, so of course he looked like an extraordinary villain. Granted, one might also throw Charlie's less-than heroic behavior and motives throughout most of the film for comparison, but even so. In All Dogs Go to Heaven 2, on the other hand, he was shown alongside a villain who was truly demonic, both figuratively and literally. Unlike Carface, who was always a "money-grubber" at heart (remember why he offed Charlie in the first one?), Red was bent on a far more spectacular evil than gang domination: taking over Heaven itself, or at least robbing its canine residents of their birthright.

I hope I'm not to late to join in on the conversation  but in MY opinion I think that Jenna and Steele would be good together and make pretty puppies, because to me Balto is a little to nice, and in like every movie the good guy always wins(its getting boring), what if the bad guy won for a change but he wasn't all bad what if he changed for the one he loved(working on a fanfic with it), I reallyt don't think Jenna and Steele would be that bad together :D

Been done. Besides, Steele never really loved Jenna for anything except her body, and it was exactly that lustful attitude that fed him to be as vile and twisted as he was (and I openly defy anyone to provide a credible argument to put down my reasoning on this point). If anything, he would get worse, not better.
That said, if you can come up with an intelligent and original JennaxSteele pairing that follows in a believable fashion from the original characters (obviously asking for them to be unchanged would go against your plans for Steele), I will readily congratulate you for doing so.

I don't particularly care if people have different views on women. This is fandom we're talking about, not life. And Steele was not overall a "mad dog." You're only paying attention to one part of him and exaggerating it (also emphasizing any "brainless" moments he has in order to make your characters look good). That's what everyone's doing, so you have no right to complain when someone exaggerates Jenna's relationship with Steele. You see Steele as nothing but a bad guy. Some people see Jenna as nothing but a harlot. No one cares. You just get all moody because Jenna's a character you like.

And about Carface, in the first movie, you didn't have to compare him to anyone to show he had evil intentions (he actually did kill to get what he wanted, mind you). And since Red is apparently evil itself, it shouldn't be a problem to keep Carface's original personality. Again this is official stuff that should've been left. We're not talking about official stuff. We're talking about fandom where people can do whatever they want because, well, its not official.

You're not really getting my point though. Carface was still willing to kill, and to kill a human at that (remember his threat to David's life). But next to someone who was, as you describe Red, evil incarnate, his evil was significantly dwarfed. It's like comparing the darkness of your cupped hands to that of a black hole. The black hole does not make your cupped hands any less dark, it just puts it in a different perspective.
The only real difference, as far as I saw, was not a difference at all- merely a revelation. Everything in the world has some sense of fear, but in the first movie there was only one thing capable of bringing this aspect ut in Carface: the crocodile. And since they were only seen together in a very brief snippet of the film, Carface's fear was not very prevalent. But extended as it was with Red, it became much more obvous.

Okay, let's all get this straight.

In canon, the characters stick to their personalities assigned to them and the plot designed for them by the official creators in the movie.

In fanon, you may choose to abide by the canon given to the characters, OR you can simply change things INCLUDING personalities and events.

It doesn't matter what happened in the movie, in fanon anything can be changed. Jenna could be a harlot due to fanon. True, it doesn't substitute the original canon, BUT you can't say "it would never happen" because in fanon people can change it so it can.

It all depends on if you want to stick to the canon or go with fanon, and which one you prefer. The whole SteeleXJenna supporters/anti-SteeleXJennas thing is based on personal preference. Therefore, it's merely a matter of preference.

I'm going to drop this for now, but not out of anything you people have said. I want my life to count for something when all's said and done, and I won't accomplish that by bickering with people who have eardrums made of cotton. So if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go look for someplace where I can make a difference.
