Orion looked around once more, then answered, "You were shot, and...." He loked away. How much more should Okami know about the spirits? He sighed again, and looked back down at the injured she-wolf. "A... friend came," he replied. "I think they were sent to help you." He was scared, slightly. What was happening? Who were these new spirits?

Okami sensed him. She looked around, the aura of a spirit trail off into the wind. She looked back at Orion and nosed him. "It was one of the spirits wasen't it?"

"Yes." And Orion finally gave in. He'd tell her bit by bit and let her learn herself. "A star spirit," he continued. "She came to help us. Ar rather, you." he looked upward again. "But I don't understand," he whispered, but Okami could still hear him, "Why would they come now? No one else is suppposed to know." Then he looked at Okami. "Alright, tell me what you know." He sat down, eyeing the scra across the female's leg. "About the borealis - anything. What is your friend, Arura, here for?"

...Okami shifted sideways and stared deep into his eyes. "When i was a pup my family, was killed i was left alone so i wandered off, and away from the pack. Soon there was a blizzard and i hed almost died, but i can remember that there with me was an old but wise wolf, black as night with white clear eyes. he lead me to a cave through the storm and we stayed there, he never really gave me his name only told me he was my keeper and with that he vanished into thin air just as the storm stopped and the northeren light fled over the mountains. I've never seen him since then. And my friend Aurora was born around the time when the lights were at full view. I don't really know much about it though." Okami lowered her eyes from his gaze and fell silent.

A black wolf, with clear eyes... the mark of an immortal, but still earthly being. How had Okami run into him? "So Aurora is the Borealis mortal." he whispered, looking at Okami. "And you are...?" He stopped. What? What was she? No typical wolf could have run into the spirit, so there must be something about her. "You must be the other..." Orion could only guess that Okami was the "Other" the spirit had spoken of. He looked. away. "Let's get back, before something else happens." he began to turn away, and asked over his shoulder, "Hey, Okami, tell me anything you can remember of what the black wolf looked like. Did he have any markings? Were his eyes pools of never ending grey mist?"

Okami followed him. "...Well he had a star like mark over his heart on the chest and his eyes were clear like those...and when i had been born, my parent's<they tell me<gave half my soul to the spirits so i could never really die. They told me i would embark on some journey with a young male wolf that knew the spirits well..." Looks up at Orion." ...That's most of what i remember"

Orion let out a long, slow grumble. So this was the wolf that had walked in his dreams - only she had been in her other form.

Something clicked in his head. The star spirits had warned him correctly - soon they would be seeing Okami's wolf form along their journey... whatever that may be. He looked aroun, ears flicking constantly for the sound of any hidden beings as he started toward the cave again. A journey... apparently Okami and Aurora were going to be here for some time. Orion sighed. So this "Destiny" he was supposed to make happen - this sort of story unfolding - was his part. he had to start it. He glanced back at Okami. "Let's get back to the cave and make sure ARoura is alright." he loped ahead of the female wolf, his ears flicking back to check for the sounds of her pawsteps.

Okami followed Orion silently but veered off to another correction. She came to a small brook. She stared at her self for a moment, then trusted her head twoards the sky, her eyes clouded with confusion. She stared deep into a particlar cloud, but then shied away, she gave a lone mournful, echo howl then lowered her head watching the stream.

Iope turned and glared at Okami angrily for her howl. But he sadi nothing, and only stared at her as she looked at her reflection. Orion knew she was confused now... and so was he.

Okami saw his glare, and looked away. She closed her eye lids and slipped off into the cave, not wanting to bother Orion. She sat in the deep corner and stayed quiet.

Sighing, Orion entered and looked around. "Aura? Are you here?" His senses told him something was different now, and his tail twichted in anticipation. Now what?

Okami looked in his direction but didn't move her head was too filled with thought. She turned away and layed down, giving orion her back. She curled her tail around her face but she kept her keen ears alert, hearing Orion's breath.
