those are great! they look like the characters were acually made like that in the movie!

Awww, excellent and adorable new renders Juunchan17 ^^ They do actually look like they're from the movie! What effect do you use to make the outlines darker? I'm having trouble with that.

But these are so neat and clean. :] I am also very jealous of your skills. XD Keep it up! ^^

Why, thank you! I try my best, but Cat's much better than I am. I'm still learning, but I teach myself by trying out new techniques . . . such as this one below!

Actually, with PSP (Paint Shop Pro X - the program I use for my graphics and renders), I choose the picture of the character that I want to render and erase the character's colors until there's only outlines left. Then after I erase the background (I copy the original picture so that the background remains intact, make a new layer underneath the outline of the character and then color it with the colors that I want for the characters. That's when things get difficult. Sometimes I alter the brightness of the outline layer so that it appears darker, but sometimes it doesn't work out perfectly like I want it.

The eyes and the paws are usually the hardest part of it, but sometimes I leave the eyes alone and just do the head shots to avoid the paws.

Also, I don't like adding the marking lines (like those dark lines on Aleu that were like the borders between her fur and her markings). I erase those to give the character that smooth look.

However, I have successfully created by first full-body render:



This is Denali, my fan character of the white-muzzled pup from WQ (yes, I know others have this one named Denali too . . . but I was the first. XD Seriously, I was.). Originally it was a shot of Kodi from WoC, but this one took about two days (on and off) to finish. The outline didn't turn out the way I wanted it to, but I thought it looked pretty good from far away.

And the new Denali one is fantastic! ^^ He is so cute, and I love his expression. Cograts on your first full-body render! You did it very well ^^ 'Tis very clean, like your previous graphics ^_^

I apologize; it is quite hard to describe what to do in words, but maybe I could try to use pictures next time . . . I dunno. However, it is a very time-consuming process, but it's all worth it in the end.

BTW, Denali's banner is the first in a hopefully set of six renders of each of Balto's children (yes, that means I'll (try to) make a Aleu render . . . probably using Balto, since their bodies are similar. The eyes will be difficult to do, but I'll manage something . . . unless I use a different character for her. I do know I'll use Balto's body for Dingo, Jenna's for Saba, Kodi's for Yukon . . . not sure on Kodi's or Aleu's really . . . or if I'll even be able to render them in the first place.).

Thanks! That one was one of my favorite ones to make . . . even though the layering began to act up a little bit, but it still looked good in the end!

*sigh* TLM2 is one of those films that got easily forgotten in the mass of sequels . . . I only liked Melody's character in the film, so look out for more graphics with her in it! (I like your sig and avvie! I should make some more TLK-centric ones in the future!)

This is my character, Yukon (AKA the red Aleu clone from WQ). I might use this for the cover of her first real fic on BS, "Yukon: Breaking the Barrier" - coming soon! It was hard to make, but it was worth it in the end! I hope you like it, just don't take it please. Thanks.

UPDATE: 11/17/07 - New renders . . . and possible avatar or sig sets to come!

Yes, it's been a while since I've been on here (too busy with my new job and working on my fanfics to do much nowadays . . . my bad!), but I do have some stuff to show off!

First, some new renders! These characters aren't mine though, but someone asked and I made them out of boredom! (LOL)

These are Rozalyn's characters, Diana and Delores; first, there's a face shot of Diana, then the individual full body renders of each. (WARNING: Large images . . . my bad! XD)







And here's her requested sig: (you can't take it though unless you ask her to use it, but I'm just showing off. LOL)


Anyway, I'll probably make a series of sigs and/or avatars with heroes and heroines coming soon (Yes, TLK and 2, TLM and 2, and others will make an appearance . . . along with loads of Balto ones.), and I'll get cracking on my WQ6 render series as well. I hope to have some up by next week as a Thanksgiving gift!
