Chill out, sorry.
I'm not sure I'd be able to use that prong collar... don't the spikes dig into the dog? But yeah, since everyone says they don't hurt..

No! when you pull it it gets tighter and pinches them, just like when we get pinched, but it hurts less, if you were to use a small sized collar on a big dog, it would hurt more, that's why they make the sizes exactly right to fit your pet..

Ah right.. I can understand that. Well, I suppose it is for rather severe cases of pulling, eh?

Yep, but once you put it on the dog stops pulling almost instantly, so they only get pinched if they pull, my dog doesn't pull at all with it on and she doesn't try to chase cats with it, if you pull it when you don't need to, then I guess it's pretty harsh, but..

accually he may very well be half labrador retriever.

^ Actually, liloandstitchfan, I don't think I agree so much anymore. Funnily enough I saw a Lab/Golden Retriever mix yesterday. I was talking to the owner for a bit and she said that's it's very unlikely he's crossed with a Retriever. She said he hasn't got the right shape for it. I asked her about the other breeds I thought he was crossed with and she said she could understand Alaskan Malamute but she also mentioned Rough Collie.
I don't think I'd be able to use that spikey check chain. Although you say it doesn't hurt I'd worried what people would think if they saw it..

It's ok if you were relpying, you don't want to be rude and ignore them, but some people weren't listening so I repeated myself.

Ok, cool.
What do you think of halters? If that's how it is spelt..
The sort of muzzle type devices that go on the dogs head/nose that is then jerked to correct. I don't like these personally, this is the one training device I don't like. I'd hate to have my nose yanked around..

I had one of those for my dog when she was a puppy, & you don't hook the leash onto the muzzle, you hook it onto their normal collar, & that just helps them from biting the leash or biting garbage.
