Yeah, her dramatic sense of dealing with situations is why I hate her, probably (i'm pretty sure you remember my long list of reaosns as to why I hated aleu XD) But it's basically why I hate any person really LOL No more drama!! DARE to keep kids off drama! Ok, that was lame... Anyway.

Okay, okay . . . she was a little TOO dramatic about her situation, I suppose. But at least she matured in the end, right?

But as for character knocks-off, I was actually referring to her personality relating ridiculously-close to Kiara's from Lion King 2.

Oh, so true. Despite the whole "Daddy's always watching you" situation that they both seem to have and their weak fighter skills, they do have other similarities:

- They want to prove that they can stand for themselves and what they believe in (Kiara with trusting Kovu; Aleu with what the clan should do to survive).
- Poor fighting skills (Let's face it: Aleu is a sucky fighter, and Kiara is too loud for hunting . . . hopefully they will improve their weaknesses in the future, right?)
- Their fathers don't trust them so much (And their only excuse is because they love them . . . The "overprotective father" stereotype is so overdone nowadays.)
- They eventually show that they have some sort of wisdom that is beyond their years (Kiara reuniting the Pridelanders and the Outsiders with her words and actions; Aleu for understanding the dream and visions that she had before Nava ad Balto could)

There are probably others, but they do show many similarities; So, I suppose they could pass for "knock-offs".

I suppose her immaturity showed more than her intelligence (which showed more in the climax than any other time in WQ), but I suppose she was the typical female lead - smart yet bossy, but she has good intentions for what she wants (in Aleu's case, she wants freedom to live without the protection of her father and figure out a way to convince her father that they are meant to help the clan with whatever Aniu had sent them to do).

I still think it would have been nice if she were a decent fighter at least . . . her pitiful fight skillz make her suck. XD

Haha yes, that surely would've counted as interesting. I mean, there's really no reason why she can't fight. I mean, all animals have fighting instincts right? She obviously does, wanting to fight Niju and the other three deformaties, but AH! She was just bad at fighting XD

Yeah . . . I suppose it's from her dad (I always thought it was due to his screwed-up genetics that Aleu was such a crappy fighter . . . since he was equally as crappy of a fighter in the sequel. Oh why couldn't she have gotten her mother's fighting skills? Because in the first movie, Jenna kicked A** and we all know it. ^__^) . . .

But remember this: She got the male-dominance squad kicking her butt (Niju, his cronies, the bear? gah.).

Now I'm just talking crap. XD

Bah! Thats still no excuse! Jenna was twice as scrawny as Aleu was XD Maybe Jenna should've put Aleu through hard-core K-9 martial arts classes.

Answer: Because no one's perfect, that's why.

I think every film in existence has some sort of blooper in it, and you may not even know about it.

Maybe this will clear things: (And no, I'm not yelling it about you . .. there are others that need to hear this)

It's not really a waste of time to make bloopers; it's a waste of time to make repetitive articles and topics about bloopers that have already been done multiple times before and appear (sadly) numerous times in the running time of a film . . . . like "OMG Aleu's ears are the wrong color in *insert scenes here*", or "Balto's eyes aren't yellow in *insert scenes here*". . . . (I think you get the joke, right?)

Let me sum this up in 3 things:

For one thing: No One Cares.

Second thing: Everyone Knows That Already.

And third and finally: No matter what you do, You Can't Redo the Movie! What's done is done. Leave it alone. XP

*sigh* I miss ranting . . . but I can't find anything good and passionate enough for me to rant on that won't get me banned if I rant about it. XD

Juuchan17 is right, their only human. Everyone makes mistakes. People should stop making such huge fusses over bloopers. They don't matter, and hardly anyone notices them. I certinaly don't when I watch Balto, Balto 2 or Balto 3. A blooper is usually on for about, what, a second? It doesn't matter, and I don't think the animators would really care that much. After all that hard work they can't exactly change it. Looking at articles and topics of bloopers and bloopers and bloopers is boring and a waste of space. So people should just stop pointing them out. It was alright at first, point a couple out, it might be a laugh, but when its over and over and people saying "Oh, the animators were lazy" which they were NOT. I hope I have made myself clear here ;)

Ok, TECHNICALLY a blooper describes a short sequence of a film or video production which contains a mistake made by someone. A short SEQUENCE! A sequence is a following of one thing after another (time-wise) a little thing for example "Balto's foot was purple in ONE FLIPPING FRAME" was not a blooper. If Balto's foot was purple in an entire SCENE, THAT would be a blooper, people! GEEZ! Juuchan said something like this, but I had to make the definition of "blooper" clear XD

OMG, I utterly, 100& agree!

A blooper is like, something changing colour for a second, or out-of-place lip-syncing etc. etc. And Balto 1 did have quite alot, but the animation was still incredibly smooth and beautiful, as well as WoC

But, in Wolf Quest, almost every frame had a blooper! The way the dogs move, too much colours changing at once, Alue always going cross-eyed, the retarted way the chars move/walk/run/move their heads...

Of course, no animation in the WORLD is perfect! Wolf Quest was just waaaaaay too... 'imperfect'

OKay . . . I feel like ranting again!

Cat's most recent rant on "copycats" has really made me think about something:

How can artists be thieves by what they draw?

Let me put one thing straight: I can't see how an artist who posts a sketch that is a different character but in a similar (or exact) pose as another person's artwork is stealing!

I, as an artist, don't know whether a picture I draw looks exactly like someone else's work! I mainly use only screenshots from the films as reference (unless it's a fan character that someone wants me to draw for a request), and since there's too many fanarts to look through out there on BS . . . . Oh heck, we could all be considered thieves and not even know it!

Now, if you know that you're using someone else's work as an inspiration for your own piece, common courtesy is to at least credit them for inspiration, whether it resembles it or not. If you don't do that, then you are a total thief. (Of course, thieves really aren't tolerated here . . . but not everyone who gives credit is a thief - [b]there are only so many different ways to portray a character, and lots and lots of artists out there . . . so naturally there will be some almost exact (or very similar) pieces, right?)

I do understand that not everyone here is a great (or good) artist, and it's only natural for a not-so-good artist to be inspired by the work of a really good artist (I won't mention any names here; I believe everyone is a good artist, even though their work may not appear as good as others) and try to make their own version of a really good piece of work. I betcha even those really good artists weren't as good as they are now when they first began to draw, so I wouldn't be surprised if some of them in their earlier days decided to "steal" some techniques from artists that they too admired.

So I say, before you judge others for their actions, think about what you have done when you were like them. Sure, it's not right to steal, but imitation is (I believe) still a sincere form of flattery . . . especially for the original artist. Still, common sense says to at least mention the artist who made you want to make that certain piece.

Now, imitation and actually stealing are two different things. Stealing is when you actually steal someone else's piece of hard work and then claim it as your own piece. At least with Imitation, you (the artist) actually do the work (the drawing/sketching/coloring/finishing touches/etc. parts) . . . while with stealing, you take the easy route . . . a route with the most negative consequences.

I recommend not ever stealing someone else's artwork . . . unless they give you specific permission personally to use it for a cover for a story or to edit it for a sig or an avatar or something like that . . .

Uh . . . that's all I have to say on this. Discuss, anyone?

Like you said, it's not stealing if you let it be known that your picture is imitating another's.

Theives intentionally use others' work without citing her references. Great minds think alike, but there is such thing as stealing another's idea (especially, for example, when all of the latest work seems to all come from the same place)

This is true. But what about when the characters look similar and have similar storylines and characteristics? Coincidence? I think not. Its very hard to come up with something randomly and have it match another almost exact. But it's not very hard if you copy.

Yes, many good artists of today have "stolen" art before, but it was mostly because at the time they didn't know what was considered stealing. People NOWADAYS should be wiser now, especially when its better-known to everyone what art theft is. Even 14 year olds should know the difference between stealing and not stealing and those were particularly the ones I was talking about in my rant: the one's who "know better" but still do nothing about it.

No need to repeat myself there XD

Art theft basically covers the use of anyone's art without citation or anything to let it be known who the "original artist" is. Its not theft, if proper credit is given. That's all it takes to decipher theft from "imitation." There's always that chance that someone "didn't know" so it can't hurt to point out that you must give credit where its due. Now the ones I was ranting about are well-aware of this rule and still give no credit. So what does that say?

Aye, your right. But if you are regarding to my post, you know what I mean ;) People posting these 'bloopers' or 'short sequence's' of nothing that you don't notice. Even if it isn't called a blooper as such, you know what I mean.
