Nate just stared at her blankly. "...Beth..." He began gently, unlacing his hand from hers and then wrapping his arms around her, pulling her close. "Calm down Bethany, I know it can't be healthy for you: or the baby, when you're this worked up..." He said gently, even giving a little chuckle afterwards.

Bethany winced when Nate pulled her closely, expecting to be hurt like last time. But then she remembered that Nate was perfect, and wonderful, and that she loved him. She knew he was nothing like Nick, she knew he'd never hurt her. Never even try. Beth sank into Nate's grasp, burying her face in his shoulder. She wrapped her arms around him tightly, nodding at his words.
"I just thought.." she muttered, "the last time I told someone... It didn't turn out too well." she said through her pale frown.

It hit Nate that she meant Nick. When she had told him about Jeffery. Nate couldn't imagine what Nick had done to her. Brutal and cold as he was... He couldn't imagine anyone hurting Beth... And he couldn't understand why her being pregnant would be a reason for doing so. He realized there where alot of things she probablly wasn't use to, living with Nick all those years. "...I...I figured that..." He replied softly "...Beth... I'm not going to leave you... Especially not now...I...I'm excited... For this baby... We're gonna be parents.. I'd never do anything to change that." He said, givving a small smile.

"R-really?" she said, her eyes large and bright.

He nodded, firmly, then gently kissed her forehead. "Yes. I've never been more sure of anything."

(I might have one lol, it's not exactly with the story but I bet it'd be entertaining lol. Like it focuses on Nick, cause when we did the flashback thing I liked the random little story that went with Nick's past. What if we rp'd Nick's army life? Like before he knew Beth... Like when he first met his fiance, and the years up to where he pruposed, then when he went to war, then up to the car crash. Lol and after all that we can get back on the main story bahaha!)

Cool, I think I'll change her name to Brandy. She'll have long black hair and have Native American roots. She'll be around 20 when she meets Nick.))

It was a dark cold night. Soft snow fell from the pitch black sky as a single young man trudged along the deserted streets. His spikey golden hair collected snow flakes as he slumped his shoulders, he had a little blonde goatee to match. "Stupid snow, stupid general, stupid late night drills, stupid-" he cut off when he saw it. The first place in town that actually had lights on.. and an open sign.

"D*mn-it..." He growled, realizing it was a coffee shop. Mr. Macho wouldn't be caught dead in a coffee shop... But he had passed three closed bars already. With a big sigh, a puff of hot breath, and a final curse at the snowing sky: he went in.

The night had been long, with only a few customers here at there. The neon sign that hung in the coffee shop's window flickered a protest. It HAD been a long day, and Brandy was just about to close up her father's coffee shop when a man trudged into the store. She looked up from the counter, his appearance let in a fresh wave of snow. Brandy grimaced as the cold reached her skin. She wasn't dressed for the cold, but she was fine because the coffee shop was so warm. Brandy went back to cleaning the counter, her warm brown eyes examining the dust on the smooth tile of the counter. She finally looked up again, offering a warm smile for the customer.
"I was just about to close up. You'll be the last customer for the night." Brandy said in a friendly voice, she had to be nice for the customer. She emerged from behind the counter and walked to the window. Flicking off the open sign and then returning back to the counter.
"what can I get you?" she asked

"Uh..." He glanced at the menu, unfamiliar with what coffee shops usually served. It was apparant that he didn't know what to reply with, and he seemed to only get more confused as he read: mochà, frappè, cappachinò... He wasn't familiar with coffee...or french... Except of course french fries... And french wine towers. He smirked at the thought of having one of those right now. The he quickly realized he needed to answer. So with another glance at the menu, he replied with the only drink he recognized: "Hot Chocolate..uh,please.."

"Got it, would you like whip cream in it?" she asked, turning her back to make a cup. Her long black hair swished down to her hips. It was shiny and soft and was so
Black that it was almost blue. Her full lips were pulled into a loose smile as she reminded herself that she could go home soon.

"Uh...yes...please." he replied. Nick quietly watched her. Literally watching Brandy, not what she was doing. He easily established that she had traces of Native Americans. He found that intresting, Nick didn't know where his roots ran. He was just a happy go lucky american mutt. To top that off, he was from Texas, so he spoke with slow, soft, southern draw. But he tried to hide it, higher ranking officers often made fun off him for it.
