Kat found herself crying on the drive to the campus. She pulled to the parking lot and grabbed a handful of money from the cab of the car. It was just enough to but her a breakfast burrito at the Dining Center at the school. Arthur was he history teacher, and he hadn't even Finished breakfast when she left. She scarfed down the burrito and thiught over her choices last night, what she dis wrong, what couldve been different.

Arthur stood slowly.
"I'm off to work Ian..be back later." He said, leaving the house and driving off to school.

At school....

Arthur sat in his desk, his third class had just ended, Kat's class was next. He watched the students file into the room, as he wrote their assignment on the board.

Kat ducked her way into class and sat relativly towards the back, she didn't want Arthur to see her, she was ashamed that shebhurt Alfred. Kat took a seat next to these two guys whonneve left her alone and looked at the board. She didn't have her assignment finished, and it wasn't with her. She looked at the board and sighed. Kat took out her notebook, pretending to take notes, but really just drawing.

Arthur looked back at the class, before sighing when he saw a girl wink at him. He went back to his desk getting some papers out before handing them out. He walked by Kat's desk and gave her a paper, with a small note attached to it. Once he returned to the front of the room he explained what they were to do.

(The note read-

Listen, Kat..You need to get away from Ian. I know he's tempting but you haven't seen him the last two years, he's changed. He tried to kill people, please, Alfred needs you..

~Please, also, work on the paper? I can tell you're drawing you yank.)

Kat read the note and frowned. She looked to the front of the class and read the note again. Ian tried to kill people? She wouldn't believe it. Kat crumpled up the note and took out a sheet of paper. She wrote a!note down on it and walked to the front of class and set it on Arthurs desk, making it look like she was turning in a late paper.
The note read:

Whatever happened to the no passing notes in class rule? And believe me, I want to get away from Ian as badly as you want me too...But I can't... I can't get away from him, okay? I all ready tried once and we ended up haing sex. I want to choose Alfred, but I don't love him like I love Ian. You don't get it, he took me in when I had nothing...

Once in her seat, Kat began drawing again.

Arthur read the note and huffed, raising an eyebrow at Kat, before calling her up to the front of the room.
"Can i speak to you in the hall?" He asked quietly, before dragging her out of the class anyways.
"You don't want to do this Kat. It's the worst choice you've made yet."

The two boys she was with snickered when she was pulled out, but she didn't do anything about it. Once in the hall Kat knitt her eyebrows and looked at her feet "Arthur... I know he's a mistake... But he was the first person to really love me after parents died. He was the first guy to actually care about me... I love him, and nothing you can say can make me change my mind. I've been battleing my own emotions, when all I want is him..." her voice was hushed and easy.

"I can't believe you would do this to Alfred. Honestly for my brother? He. tried. to. Kill me!!!" Arthur snapped, earning an odd look from a few passing teachers. He frowned and sighed.

"Well I'm sorry! I didn't know he was your brother when I was dating him. He'll I didn't even know you when we were dating" she yelled. Kat had enough of this stuff, she turned on her heel and stomped off. But she paused and blinked back years.
"I never wanted to hurt Alfred...my intentions were good... I just wanted a best friend..." Kat said breathlessly, before walking off.

"Katherine if you walk away from this class I'll fail you. Don't think i won't!" He snapped back at her, before walking back into the class to find everyone staring at him.
"Mr. Kirkland...?" One student asked. "Did your brother really try to kill you?" Another finished the question, making Arthur sigh.
"GET BACK TO WORK!"

"My name is KAT!!" she yelled, in all honesty, she didn't care if Arthur failed her or not. She stomped to her car and flew out of the parking lot. She went straight to her apartment and stripped off her greasy shirt asbshebwalked in. Kristin looked up from her book and gasped. Kat looked down, her body was covere in light purple bruises, Ian...he must have forgotten how easily she bruised, that or henhad been extremly rough with her. Kat felt tearsnin her eyes and Kristin hesitently walked over to her.
"What happened" Kristin asked.
"Ian happened..." Kat answered simply. Kristin gasped she had always heard about Ian.

Ian walked cooly out of Kristin's bathroom, smirking as he always did, seeing shock as it pleasured him.
"Ladies. Katherine..I was wondering when you were to return home.." He cooed.

Arthur finished up class, and began the slow painfully-boring drive home.

For a moment Kat thought about putting on her shirt, nut then decided against it. She eyed Ian carefully and faked a smile.
"I didn't know you knew where I lived..." Kat said, trying to sound like she was pleased that he was hear.

Ian's eyes lingered on Kat's body, before replying.
"I always knew." He said, looking over to Kristin, who looked genuinely shocked. "You look stunning. And you must be Kristin."

Kat knit her eyebrows, he always knew and yet he never came back for her? Kat gave a frustrted sigh and walked past Ian and too the hallway before the bathroom "I have an hour before I need to head over to Sunshine, I'm gonna take a shower" Kat said.
Kristin smiled at Ian, obviously atracked to him.
"you must be Ian" she said, ignoring Kat completly. Kat sighed and Began to walk to the bathroom
