After Saba had climbed out, Slyth took a few steps back, lowered his body a bit to prepare for the leap. Then, kicking himself up off the ground, Slyth soared upwards toward the hole until he felt his body make contact with solid ground. He had made the jump, but only just. He had to sink his claws into the ground and pull himself up, but at least he'd made it.
Once he was back on all four legs and had caught up with Saba and Eleriss, he glanced around his surroundings, searching for the direction back to Nome.
(had to write this one up quickly. I should be in bed right now, but oh well.)

Is it too late to join? If not XD, Name: Morana Gender: Female Age: 8 Breed: Spirit wolf, if that's possible, otherwise wolf Personality: Has a cold shell and a soft inside. Bio: Morana was originally a very playful and friendly pup, and loved humans. However, her mother was killed by humans, and ever since then she has hated them. Morana was also nearly violated by a dog as well, and is wary and cautious around them for that reason. She worked with another wolf who taught her to be vicious to all that approached her. Morana was soon ordered to kill Aniu, and she did, but she spared the pup's lives, unable to kill them out of pity. She escaped from the wolf and continued to live alone, being a very large wolf, and always felt guilty about her crime. She decided to devote her life to guarding others from the wolf that took advantage of her, moving from time to time from different towns to watch over others. http://baltosource.timduru.org/art/Coba ... 94-73.html

Blitz had left her spot in the woods finally and she was heading back to town. Her footfalls made nary a noise on the snow, but perhaps that was only to her ears. All she could hear were the voices in her head that were telling her to do a million different things at once, all of them contradicting themselves. She still felt like screaming, but the impulse had lessened since she'd left the shade of the trees. A single conclusion had formed in her mind that seemed to solve most of her problems, perhaps not all of them, but it would keep her out of trouble with everyone else. She had to leave, either on a sled trip or some other way. It didn't really matter where she went, so long as she could get away from the sleepy little town she'd known forever. She needed space to think and figure things out, and with all of its distractions, Nome wasn't the place for that level of thought.
She didn't hear the small party drawing near her as she moved sluggishly toward the town, almost fully intent on only letting her teammates know of her plans and no one else. She wouldn't have known that Slyth and the others were there had it not been for his strong aroma flitting across her nares and sending a chill along her spine. Her head raised almost woefully to greet the sight of the canines headed her way and at once she felt dread. Her mind came up with a cover story for her presence, despite the impulse to run. They would have already seen her by now, so there was no use trying to get away. But why was there a wolf with them?
"Oh, Slyth, Saba, Max. What's going on? And who's your friend? I hope you guys didn't go wandering into the woods alone." Lame, lame, lame, she thought, but it would have to do. What else could she say? She certainly wouldn't use her cover story unless questioned herself. Her icy eyes fell on Slyth, but they moved to stare at the snow the instant they landed on him. She felt ashamed that she'd spied on him, but even more ashamed that she'd been planning on leaving without letting him know.

Eleriss peered down on the dog who greeted them, and her eyes revealed that she had already seen through her. However, she kept quiet, and introduced herself instead. "My name is Eleriss." Four words should be more than enough, and she peered at the others for a moment.
"Say, you smell familiar ..." she said, eyeing Blitz. "You wouldn't happen to know a dog - sorry - wolfdog named Balto?"
Isn't she the one I smelled earlier today? she thought.

The hybrid stopped short, noticing that the scent of the wolf was a little familiar, but with everything else that had been on her mind, she couldn't place where she'd picked it up. Oh well, that little detail shouldn't be too big of an issue. The fae seemed nice enough, and surely if she were dangerous, then she would've already made her intentions known, right?
"Nice to meet you Eleriss. My name's Blitz." She didn't give any other details out, simply for the sake of trying to keep the situation under control. The black and gray canine already felt her grasp on reality slipping with the decision she kept pondering, but if she let go, there would be know telling what could happen. She might even launch into a narrative of their whole lives and the little groups unfortunate problem.
Luckily enough, the wolf asked about Balto. But this in itself opened up a whole new can of worms. Balto was Slyth's and Saba's father, and if Eleriss was asking her about Balto, she must've mentioned him to them too, right? But then why hadn't they told her the truth? If she personally knew the famous part-wolf, then she would surely recognize his scent on them, especially since they'd seen him not too long ago. Even Blitz could still smell it.
"Balto? Yes, I've met him before, but only a few times. He's my hero, actually." She blushed, but said no more than this, not wanting to lie to Eleriss but at the same time not wanting to contradict whatever Slyth and Saba had felt the need to say. But the question still remained: what had made them want to hide that fact so much?

Eleriss listened to Blitz's words, and nodded when she presented herself. "So, Balto is a hero now, is he?" she asked. Not having seen Balto since she was a year old, she did, indeed, doubt that he had become one already. "I guess he doesn't have time to see his half-sister, then... I crossed half of Alaska for nothing..." She sighed deeply.
But why does Blitz seem so reluctant? she pondered. Maybe she is afraid of me... She decided to turn tail, and made her intentions clear. She was about to leave.

"Half-sister?"
The word dropped like a stone in the hybrid's stomach and she gasped in spite of herself. She was one of his full-blooded wolf sisters. But then why hadn't Slyth or any of his siblings seen her before. Then again, she could have been intensely involved in her own business.
The wolf turned to go and Blitz felt compelled to say something to make her stay - anything. She didn't even know why she wanted to learn more about this wolf, but in a strange way she felt as if she needed to talk to her.
"Slyth, Saba and Max are his children," she blurted out breathlessly and then bit her tongue. 'What? Why did you do that you fool! That was for Saba and the others to tell. It was their secret, not yours,' her conscience screamed at her, but for once in her life she completely ignored it. "Not too long, there was a horrible case of Diptheria spreading in the town. The hospitals ran out of Antitoxin and needed it badly, but every mode of transportation they tried to use just failed. They finally came to dog sleds, but the team got lost in the horrendous snow storm. Balto braved the weather and rescued them all, leading them back to Nome."
Of course the younger hybrid didn't know all of the details of the journey, just what most of the other dogs knew. Steel's involvement had strangely been edited out of the story by the older dogs who'd told the story. Any who actually knew that he'd been a major cause of the troubles seemed to think that his removal gave Balto a little more honor and left a shameful element out of the history of the town that had at first so wronged the wolfdog.

Eleriss stopped. She knew it. But then, Blitz began telling something regarding diptheria, and Eleriss listened carefully, yet still not turning around. But she felt some kind-of proudness of her half-brother now. "Diptheria, you say? Wow... I had never imagined my half-brother to have grown up in this town, and still turn out alright." she said, her voice a bit softer, as if she was dreaming.
Then she turned around and stared into Blitz's eyes, and the softness of her voice was gone, and now it was... almost stern. "Please take me to Balto."
Ooc:// Powerful writers block.

(OoC: Just clearing up that Max wasnt with the gang, he happen to run off unseen from the cave by the others somehow lol anyways I'll just place him there now. Also thanks for bringing Max back into this kinda, Aniu. (:)
Max watched as the gang and wolf walked past and run into Blitz before getting himself up and walking to them without saying a word. He placed himself off the side of where the others and Blitz faced each other and giving a little smile to them all, but the wolf of course. He just listened to the two go back and forth between chats, but he never answered in the fear that maybe his brother and sister did notice it was him at that cave if they even noticed anything at all.
As the wolf turned to leave, Max thought it was all better now and his fear began to lessen(even if she claimed to be Balto's half-sister) but then when Blitz told the wolf of them being the pups of Balto he looked over at her for a second then to the wolf, thinking to himself, "Did she just really tell her that!? Oh, I hope that wasnt a bad thing.." with fear coming back. As he looked back towards the wolf he feared what she was to say after being lied to by his brother not long ago, but luckily Blitz told of Balto's story which seem to throw her off and onto that subject. Watching the wolves actions to this, he stepped back some and looked towards Blitz to see what she would do now. He figured his brother and sister might be shocked about her telling about their relation, but hoply it wouldnt be brought up again.

Eleriss' ear twitched, and she turned her head around, peering at somewhat the area Max was at, tilting her head. She thought she had heard something, but chose to ignore it. After all, no more disturbances would be a good thing. She rather sat down and waited for Blitz to respond, while thinking about her own past.
But this was quickly interrupted, though, because there were some noises from nearby. She turned her head towards it.
(( Now's a good time for the Balto player to return... ))
