As listen to their little chat he didnt notice how much of a fool he was just letting himself be known so easily. Being to late about it, he noticed how he had just been standing there letting his scent fill the cave without even trying to hide it. As soon as he heard the wolve's voice speak, bringing up that someone else was there, he took a quick step back thinking to himself, "Crap! How could you be so stupid, Max!? You just gave yourself away thanks to your genius idea to just walk in here.", he then sighed to himself. Not listening to the wolve's demand, he began to back up some. He wasnt afraid of this wolf, he was afraid of what would happen if his brother and sister caught him like this, because well they might just think he's been spying on them this whole time and before!

As he back up, he caught what the wolf had also said to his siblings. She sounded annoyed and angry as she told them she WAS going with them and at the time Max feared the wrost of they said no was again, which he thought they would. He knew if he tryed anything to rid them of this wolf he'd end up as good as dead, even if he was half wolf himself. After some thinking he figured he'd be caught either way now. His siblings could easily now it was his scent if they tryed and leaving was something he just couldnt do. So annoyed with this wolf, he began to emit a loud growl that ehcoed within the cave.

As he growled, which he still felt edgy about doing, he tryed to cover up his voice with a more deeper tune and not sound like himself. "Wolf! Why do you pester these younging, eh? Why do you insist on badgering these kid to let you follow them home?" Now feeling like a complete idiot, Max continue to stand there waiting for the wolf to answer.

Eleriss chuckled. Hmm, nice try, big-boy. she thought, and she turned around, facing Max. "Ah, so there you are." she said, simply. This newcomer tried to cover up his real identity. Well, understandable... if he was spying on the two cubs, so she decided to try an intimidation tactic and almost ran before him, showing her full height. "Care to try that growl again, boy?"
Inside herself, she was enjoying this situation more and more. Not only did she get to scare spies, but she had also met -his- cubs. This day was turning better and better.

"Wouldn't you think that we're smart enough to not run off a cliff and that we would scent the bear before he attacked us? Slyth asked raising his eyebrows at her. He looked back at Saba and shook his head at her. He choose to ignore her comment about a spy listening to them from the darkness. Even though this would normally be down right alarming considering what he and Saba had been up to before this wolf came along.

Hearing movement from the wolf, his eyes darted to her again and saw she had moved from the exit. A small feeling of achievement sparked in his chest causing his cheeks to raise slightly in a small smile. Then, without waiting, he darted through it, running for the light at the end of the tunnel. He knew that Saba would be following close behind him but he didn't know if the wolf would be chasing them. If luck was on his side then she wouldn't. But luck had been a rare thing for him to ever have.

Well, it was luck that Storm made such a racket in that hospital just when Blitz was padding by their room. It was luck that she got curious and came in to see what was going on. Then, maybe, it was luck that she developed emotions for him. He didn't know about that last one, but it was lucky that he and Blitz had become friends because she was so much help to him.

He'd completely forgotten about how the tunnel got really thin near the middle so that he had to squeeze and wiggle his way through it.

Eleriss didn't react immediately when Slyth ran past her, but then she remembered the tricky part.
"Err... Hey, kid! What am I going to tell Balto if you get stuck in the middle of that spot? That you didn't see it?!" she yelled at him. Kids... There was an easier route out, in fact; it was right above their heads.

Ooc:// Really sorry, but I really don't have any muse nowadays.

Max almost fell back as the wolf had run up to him, towering over him. As she made the comment, his eye grew wide for a moment before he shook his head in a attemp to shake away his fear. Now seeing the wolve's detail it was much harder to play 'Mr. Brave' for, from how she looked, she could easily beat him up, or far wrose. He did continue to growl, but a lot more faintly and his ear had now been to his head. Stuttering in his words he spoke once again, "Ye- Yes, I will..", then looking away a bit, "Tell me, why bother these others?" He couldnt ask anymore so he left it at that. He wasnt going to clue her in that those others happen to be his brother and sister, because he didnt believe she should know.

Max felt uneasy about this and didnt know where it was going, hoping he wasnt going to regret it later on. He hoped his siblings used this time to get away at least, like he intended, and sure enough he grined as he saw them making a break for it. His grin did soon fade as he noticed she picked up on it as soon as he did before his mind filled with questions when she brought up their father. He wondered if they had brought up the fact he was their father in defence, or something for he didnt come soon enough to hear about it before.

Saba ran after Slyth as he streaked past the wolf. Her own paws at full throttle before...she stopped, crouched down in the most narrow part "Balto...?" she whispered, eyes widening. "How do YOU know him?!" she demanded, ears pinned backed harshly. She couldn't believe this! This wolf knew their Father... Her keen blue eyes darted back and forth in the darkness as she waited for Eleriss to give a response to her.

Eleriss smiled. She was right. "I know Balto from his childhood. In fact, I am from another litter, before Balto was born. Not much before, so we were both pretty young." she said. This was ninety percent true. Except from the siblings-part. "I wish to come with you, simply. To see him again, and make sure that you are not harmed along the way. I, myself, have lost pups here in this very forest."
Now that their father was brought up, she hoped for a more positive response.

Slyth had come to a stop in the tunnel. He had run into the thinest section of the tunnel and lodged himself between the two walls. It seemed like something was holding him there but he didn't fight it. He knew what it was so it didn't surprise him as much as it had on his trip in here. The reason he didn't struggle was because what the wolf had just said. He swallowed and squirmmed his way out and turned back to face Eleriss. "Wait, you're saying that you're related to our father?" he asked with raised eyebrows.

He'd always known that his father was part wolf so half of his family were wolves. He just never expected to acctually meet one of them.

Max had tilted his head a bit to his right now. He didnt really think he'd meet with anyone related to his father, because he never talked about it around him before, or at least not much. After his siblings questioned her, he stepped up himself, "So your saying your related to dad?", he paused before stepping forward was more with his head more off to the side, "He's never told of us of a sibling of his." He was now interested in the wolve's words and hoped she might clue them in more, without knowing it was just a lie. The gullible brute waited to listen to hear the reply's of the large wolf in front of him. He tryed to think back if his father had ever brought up a relative that might of been still alive, but then again he thought maybe even his father didnt know about this.

{Ewww, short ><}

Eleriss smiled. "Well, not a hundred percent. We only have partly the same blood. My father was a pure-bred wolf, his father was a dog." she said. Glad that she finally had their attention, she stared at an opening on the roof. "Anyway, I'll tell you on the way. Then, when we all return home, 'cept for me, I'll finish telling you more. For now..."
The last thing, she said before she jumped up at the opening, which was far too high up for a pup, and gazed down at the three.
"This is the easiest way out, and there's no chance of you getting permanently stuck either." she said, and jumped down again.
"It's too high for you to reach from on the ground, so I'll lift you."

Ooc:// Short-post. No muse.

Now that he knew she was one of his really really distant relatives, he felt a little bit remorseful for being so rude to her. But when she called him a pup again, his annoyance at her flared up again and he couldn't help it. He was not a pup, nor was he small. He was fully grown and just because she was older than him didn't make him a pup. He was still young, he knew that, but he felt insulted at being called a pup. Padding back toward the back of the cave where the wolf had just jumped up, he looked at Saba for a moment before looking back and up at the exit above them. How had he and Saba missed it earlier?
"Here, stand on my back and i'll help you up" Slyth said turning to Saba and lowering himself so that she could step on and he'd push her up enough for her to sink her claws into the earth and pull herself up. Eleriss could also help her with that. He was sure he could get up there on his own. He could jump that high. He knew he could.

In all honesty, he really just wanted to get back to Nome.

Eleriss frowned. She had noticed his reaction, each time she called him a pup. So, he's got problems with that? she asked herself, then resumed back to playing ignorant about this fact.
"Need any help?" she asked them kindly, but her attention soon drifted somewhere else. Staring up at the exit, she lost contact with the physical world for a moment, as some of her memories arose.

Eleriss was a small pup, about six months old, when she first met her half-brother Balto. They stayed together for a long while, until the dog in him called him into town. Alone again, Eleriss searched after her mother, whom had disappeared many weeks earlier. Realizing that her mother was not coming back, she somehow managed to survive for this long.

Not expecting Balto to remember her, she looked back at the small ones. "Be careful so you don't harm yourself." she warned them.

As the wolf drew the attention of his siblings he though this might be a good way to get out unnoticed, since only the wolf seem to acknowledge him. He wasnt sneaking out to get away from this wolf, he just wanted to maybe get out of there without his siblings noticing he was there, because at some chance they might of had not seen/heard him behind the wall, other then the wolf of course. He began to back out and before long was right outside the cave again as she asked the others some question he couldnt fully hear. As he started off towards home he firgured it was best, if he was to even fool the others, to be in town and act like he hadnt been there although the wolf was surely remember his face from only minutes ago.

Was he walked he had then began to think about what the wolf had said about being a sibling of his own father, being a step-aunt almost. This caused him to pause in his steps and look back for a second, just thinking to himself, "Could she really be dad's step-sister? Our step-aunt?, he continue to look into the direction of the cave before shaking it off and continuing to Nome. He wondered what his father might even say about this, it must of been so long for him and shocking because he didnt know anyone was left.. well from what his mother said to him once as a young pup. As he got to the boat he almost stopped to check and ask his father, but decided against it for now. "Let it be a surpise for him", he said to himself with a grin upon his face. Finally, as he walked towards the shoreline, he laid himself down like he had been there for hours just laying when the others might so up.

Saba's ears lowered softly as she realized this was a distant relative of their's...she couldn't believe her Father would actually forget about a step sister. Eyes lockd onto Slyth's she would nod, gently hopping up and standing on her back paws. Saba's small claws dug into the rock above as dshe pulled her light body up onto the cave top. Her eyes were locked on the scenary around her. Her breath was taken away. It was such an amazing scene, and after the brightness of the crystals..the dimmer light was a welcomed change to her.

"Come on!" Eleriss urged the two forwards, towards the mouth of this small cave. Being so big, she had to crouch to be able to move inside it. The cave walls were pushing her towards the floor, but she managed to squeeze through the tighest part of the room, and she stopped for a moment.
The fresh air was so... fresh! Welcoming it gladly, she jumped down from the plateau, landing gracefully after falling about a meter or so. "Come on you two! Get a move on!" she called out.

Ooc:// Desperate attempt to revive this roleplay.
