Slyth couldn't remember the last time he'd seen a full grown wolf but now that he was looking at one, he became aware of just how big they were. He pratically lived with half-wolf's but still. A purebred wolf was alot bigger. He was so surprised by her size that it took him a few moments to realize she was speaking to them. She sounded neither angry or annoyed. Rather intrigued. "We were just, ah, talking. We didn't know anyone was living here." Her question about where their parents were cot him curious. What did she care where their parents were? "They're dead." he lied. Even though he fully trusted several part-wolf's he didn't quite trust this wolf. He didn't even know her name and it might have just been a simply question as to why they were off alone but he wasn't a pup and didn't need to be watched everywhere he went. He was old enough to take care of himself. Well, he might need help every now and then. clearly since he couldn't figure out for the life of him why he fell for his own sister then directly after they had gotten together fell for another female dog. But that wasn't common knowledge. "It's just me left and this is my mate." He jestured toward Saba.

Eleriss studied the two carefully. She had no experience with pups herself, but... the kid already had a mate? They looked as much alike each others that they could've been in family with each others. "I'm not living here, only resting. But it could've been many things that was inhabiting the cave, and rushing in like that is what might get kids like you two killed." she said. Her voice had become strict. She knew the pup was lying when he said his parents had died, but she decided to play along. "Ah I see... I'm sorry for you. I'll tag along with you then, since I have nothing better to do, and you're too young to protect yourselves. And, excuse me if I may be so rude, but... mate?" This made Eleriss frown. It was clear that they were siblings. They smelled much alike, looked much alike, and even had many of the same features. Deciding to let exactly that topic lie alone, she just sighed. "Nevermind that... But I still think you two are a bit too young to be mates... Oh, well. Nature's unpredictable, I guess. So, where's our next location?"
Ooc:// Bedtime for me now. School tomorrow. I'll see if I can post from there when I have time.

Blitz heard their conversation dim as they moved even farther into the cave and sighed. She was just about to stand and trot back toward Nome when a new scent crossed her nares. A full-blooded wolf? So close to the outskirts of the forest? That was unusual in itself. She heared the unknown females voice echo outward, but couldn't make out anything that she was saying. The tone didn't seem to be angry though, so the hybrid didn't worry so much. Then she heard both Slyth and Saba before the wolf spoke again. The voices seemed to be getting even louder, and clearer. With realization, the black and grey mix's eyes widened and she moved quickly through the brush, suddenly not caring how little or how much noise she made. Her scent would only linger where she'd rested there and she zig zagged through the trees and bramble, determined not to leave and easy path to follow.
How could she have done that? She'd basically just tried to spy on her best friend, and crush, and his sister/mate. How more dishonest could anyone get? She tried to put that thought out of her mind as she moved even deeper into the woods, unknowingly back to the thicket she'd lay comtemplating her own existence. She didn't even recognize it in the day's light. But she did begin to pace around it, the adrenaline building up.
Keeping all of these secrets was clearly beginning to wear on her mind. She never thought she'd spy on a friend like that. Maybe an enemy but... Was Saba an enemy now? No, that couldn't be right. Saba was her friend too. But what was more important now, her friendship, or her crush?

OOC: Nuuu! XD THis puts a dimmer on things. Saba and Blitz becoming enemies is sad since Slyth likes both. Eh, it'll bring a good twist XD.

Slyth raised an eyebrow at the wolf. He didn't think he liked the company of this wolf right now. Shaking his head, he ignored all her previous questions and only payed attention to the last one. She was just inviting herself to join them. He didn't know about Saba, but he wanted to go now. If she wanted to, she could stay and chat with this wolf, but he was rather keen on getting away from her. "Im sorry, but i don't know who you think you are but don't you think it's rather rude to just invite yourself to come along with us?" Turning to Saba he leaned toward her ear and whispered into it "Come on. Let's go." Then stood up and padded toward the door.

{Haha I gotta post sometime, or another. q: Sorry for crappiness.}
Max had been laying upon a box outside the old meat show for also a half hour now thinking about the actions that had been taken earlier from his sister against his brother. After just a while of wondering what might of made her snap out of nowhere, he just quickly grew bored with it before finally getting himself up and moving himself to the beach of his father's boat not to far away. While everyone had must of been gone by now, or at least in his mind, he quitely laid on the soft and warm sand waiting and wondering about what their little gang, so-to-say, had been up too. The brute was now curious about everyone's whereabouts all this time. At least he had to run into someone by now, right?
Thinking that over and over again, as he watched the shining blue waves seem to fade as they grew near him, he got himself back up and began his search to find someone, just one other at least, because he was beginning to think they were having some sort of party without him, or something like that. He must of just started to feel either really lonely, or bored out of his mind to be thinking that, but its just him. As he head around the boat he began to sniff the air for any scent at all.
Another period of time had gone by and he still got nothing. About to give out at the last second he caught the smallest scent of someone he knew, but just it was too small of a scent to know who's. Following it faintly, through many paths and getting lost many times, he had finally find it with the help of two other scents, but was stopped. The scent had been spilt between a small bush, which had faded into nothing now, and another path that was still a bit fresh. As he figured, he picked up the scent easily now, but now it was the scent of three different others.
He quickly caught it as both Slyth's and Saba's before jumping back a bit and commenting to himself, "Er.. Maybe this wasnt a go-" He cut himself off as he stopped to hear the voices from inside the cave, easily heard and definable to be his brother's voice, but he seemed bothered. Putting a paw forward while tilting his head, he was unknowing of what was happening, or going on.

Eleriss simply laughed. "You're in no situation to take these decicions, young one." she said, smiling. "You're too young to be wandering this place all alone, and seeing as your parents are dead, you're in even bigger need of protection..." Figuring she wasn't able to convince them that way, she decided to try a different approach. Bending down to Slyth, she whispered into his ear. "I know that you two are siblings, young one. You share many of the same features, and you both smell of wolf as well." were the words she whispered. Not that Eleriss really could be bothered to care if they were in love or not... If they were meant for each others, she was happy for them.

Blitz began to pace even faster back and forth now, fretting deeply over the whole situation. Could she really be so vain as to think that Slyth was more important than everyone else? Maybe, but was he more important than Saba? That, she couldn't answer. She couldn't answer because she had no idea what the right, or even an acceptable answer to that would be. If she said yes, it would mean that she wasn't a good friend, and was also quite selfish indeed. If she said no, it would mean that she didn't care about Slyth as much as she thought she did. But she knew that that couldn't be the case, because whatever it was she felt, it came from somewhere deep inside, and it was strong.
At the same time, she knew that she was a good friend, or that she intended to be, and she couldn't just abandon Saba like that. It would seem that this little love triangle presented as much of a problem for Blitz as it did for Slyth. And it didn't help that it was made all the worse by other facts surrounding the matter. First, there were Slyth's and Saba's parents. They had no idea that their children were madly in love with each other. That might disappoint them, but Blitz was certain that they would be far more angry if she were to step in and break Saba's heart. And then there was the fact that Saba, Slyth and Max were her only current friends in Nome. Most of the other dogs had shied away from her after she'd gone berserk on Dart. Even her team had begun to distance themselves. If she hurt Saba like that, she'd be alienating one of the few friends she had left.
Any way she turned she faced a horrible outcome and the more she thought about it, the more unbearable the desire to scream became. Finally she collapsed on the ground, her head hitting her paws with a thump. But for once, the racing hybrid wasn't too concerned about her own well-being or anything else at all. Her icy colored eyes gazed out into the forest and she let her mind wander, tired already from her forced, arduous thougts. She thought about the story of Balto's amazing journey to retrieve the Antitoxin when Steele and his team got lost, and of the rest of the details, some that dogs had invented to make it all the more exciting. These thoughts led her back to her own racing team and she sighed deeply, recalling that she'd really fallen behind in her practice time, and probably her speed now. She'd been so distracted lately that she'd forgotten all about it. Ever since Slyth had come along and brought adventure into her life...
And still every thought seemed to retrace its way back to him. Every single blessed thought. In anger, she glared at a squirrel gathering nuts several yards away and growled quietly. The little thing froze in shock, hearing the malicious noise, then quickly skittered up the try, chattering as it went. Wonderful, now she'd been reduced to being annoyed at small, furry creatures because she couldn't be frustrated to anyone else's face. Why had that red half-husky have to come along and complicate her existence? Before she'd met him, all she'd ever wanted to do was race, and be the absolute best at it. For a few moments, she resented him, but that wouldn't last long. Even when she said in her mind that she wished she'd never gone to investigate the stange noises in that hospital room, she knew she was lying. And she would have done it over, if given the chance. Why then, did things have to turn out this way? And why was it so hard to make a choice now?

Slyth grunted at the wolf's words. He started to get angry with her and even started to growl at her but, once he realized this, he stopped himself and took a deep breath. He was able to calm his anger, but this wolf still annoyed him just as much. He glared at her and shook his head. "I don't need protection. I can take care of myself" At this point, he didn't know what to say to this wolf. She was clearly stubborn and wasn't going to leave them alone. "I don't mean any disrespect, but we've done alright for ourselves for awhile now. I don't see why we would suddenly not be able to defend ourselves anymore." The only purpose of this lie was because he didn't feel that he needed to tell this wolf anything. But obviously he had to tell her some reason to why they were in her den. He just went for that on an impulse. Saba was either frozen with fear of the wolf, or confused and unsure what to do because she hadn't spoken at all yet since this wolf had shown up.
"I'm sorry for trespassing into your den. If you'd kindly move to the side and let us out we'll leave you alone."

Saba's ear twitched annoyedly, an icy look in her usually calm and prestine eyes. This wolf had the nerve to say she was coming along without any sort of consent from them? That wasn't how things were done. It just simply wasn't.
"Look," she said, finally finding need to speak. "I don't who you think you are but it is my fault we're here, the last time I was here no one inhabited it. So again I apolgize, and now, WE are going." Saba sat down, still staring coldly into the large wolf's eyes. She had to admit, she thought her Father was big, but this wolfess was...Was something else! Probably the biggest creature she had ever seen. But, she shook the thoughts of how large this wolf was in comparison to her family. Right now, they needed to get out.

Eleriss shook her head. Kids nowadays... "Listen, I will at least escort you two back home, then I'll leave." she said. I'm not going to give up on this one... They're so much alike -him-. But heh, she was acting stubborn now. They would eventually give in... she hoped. Because they were both very much alike a special wolf and dog hybrid, whom she dearly wished to see again. And he couldn't be dead, because if he had died, she would've forgotten about him after a while. That was how wolves were. Then she heard a slight growling from one of them. Kids... why do they always have to growl? she asked herself. But deep down, she knew she was being clingy.

(Ooc: Just a note here, I'll think I'll leave Blitz where she's at, stewing in her thoughts until Slyth, Saba, and Eleriss get back to town, XD. That is, if Slyth ever backs down and lets Eleriss come at this rate. Either way, when they get to town, Blitz will rejoin the group, with some possibly startling, possibly mind-boggling thoughts buzzing in her head and perhaps and unlikely conclusion that she may have worked out by then? XD. I'm trying not to reveal too much of what I'm planning on having her do, but you'll all see ^.^)

Max was curious now. He heard the voices clearly now and felt as if they were being bothered by this other unknown voice. Stepping forward into the cave, he raised his ears more to listen more clearly. He noticed that the crawlspace was low and decided against just popping into the middle of it unless they really needed his help. Since it was both his brother and sister he guessed this might of been some type of 'special' time between them that got invaded by this unknown, at least to him, creature. Sniffing the scents within the cave it didnt take long to noticed this was no dog at all. This was a pure breed wolf and by the way the wolf sounded, it was a female. This information frightened Max, because he knew what they were possible of and could only imagine what she would do. Now he would stand as a backup. He didnt know what she planned, or why she seemed to be so stubborn by not taking 'no' for an answer. Max just wanted to go in and tell the wolf to leave them alone, but he couldnt. His brother and sister would think he was spying on them and he might even cause the wolf to attack, which he didnt want happening at all. Holding back his intentions of running in, he waited. He waited to see if she would leave them, or attack, which at any time, Max would charge in. If they infact did leave he would have to hide somewhere and fast. He looked around noticing a few bushes that he would easily be hidden with so he nodded to himself before continuing to listen. {Yay for crappy posts  -coughcough- Sorry guys.}

Eleriss sighed. Man, they're stubborn... she thought, and took a deep breath. "I'm coming with you, either you like it or not, and I'm going to follow you home, then I'll leave you alone. You DO live in Nome, right?" she said, clear, stern and loudly. She was annoyed, really annoyed. But not of the two pups, but of the other dog that was nearby. She smelled him, and decided that enough was enough. "And, to the spy that's standing in the shadows, would you please come out here?!" she barked at the location of Max. There wasn't really much to it. That spy over there would probably come out of his hiding place, and the pups would give in to her persistent attitude. It all was a question of time. Sure, they didn't want her to come with them, but they were pups, and they should clearly be at home with their "dead" parents. "Listen up, both of you..." Eleriss turned to Saba and Slyth again. "Who's going to fight if, for instance, you run over a bear? Or, what if you fall down a cliff and break your legs? Who's going to carry you? I'll come with you, until you reach home, and on the way I'll teach you the basics. I also have some bones to pick with a certain wolfdog..." The last part, she just muttered loud enough for the two pups to hear. Not that I'm unable to get there myself, but it'd be an easier approach if I just escorted his children safely home... she thought... But ultimately, she decided on that the pups would probably not change their minds, so she moved away from the exit.
