Butch smiled. "Oh hey Scout." he said. He looked at Dani. "Hey Dani, how are you doing?" he asked, petting her. "Who are your friends?" he asked, petting Ana and Maria.
Aleu smiled. "Will he have any problems with...what I look like?" she asked, use to rejection by humans.

Scout accetped the smile eagerly with a wider one of his own. He turned to Aleu with a sadder look, imagining what she must have gone through all her life. "No, of course not," he said reassuringly.
Danielle acceteped the pet before saying, "Maria and Ana," even though it came out as barks to Butch's ears. Still, he had been able to figure out Scout, Danielle, and the rest of the family's names with no human words after a while.

Aleu nodded and walked in, to her suprise, she got petted. Her brothers and sisters all got petted.
"So I'm guess you're all hungry huh?" asked Butch, smiling.
Ana nodded and her stomach growled.

Butch nodded and went to get meat for the dogs.
Aleu smiled to her brother and nuzzled him. She was glad he was protective of her, humans had hurt her a lot in the past, having someone to always be their to comfort her reassured her.

"Yeah a sweetheart Kodi." said Aleu. "Whoever you mate with will be the happiest female in the world." she said, smiling. "Do you have a special someone yet?" she asked, curious.

"Nah," Kodi said with a roll of his head. "What girl would want to put up with me anyways. I'm a racer and I;m never home. No girl wants or deserves a guy whos never around."

Butch came back and gave all the dogs some meat. "There you go." he said, smiling. "You must all be related, I can tell."
Ana tore into a chain of sasagues.
Aleu smiled. "Your family can put up with it." she said, teasing before starting to eat.

Scout gave Butch an appreciative bark before digging in.
Maria's eyes lit up at the sight of the food and had barely let it go out of Butch's hands before taking a mouthful.
"Yeah, and you're the only ones," Kodi said with slight saddness in his voice before eating.
